Terrible customer service they failed me as a regular customer
Terrible customer service and consideration. I went to purchase the prescription food Hills K/D Mobility Kidney + Joint Care, as a regular customer, however the pet food I wanted was out of stock when I went to pay for it at the check out... I corrected my auto-delivery to that day to see if it made a difference and it didn't so I went to buy the same food locally. As I had purchased the food locally, overnight their system tried to charge me (although they had no stock and their checkout wouldn't allow me to progress) and as I had already spen...t my money on my pet's food, I didn't have enough for the auto-delivery charge to be taken as well. They made 4 attempts on my account and as a result, cost me $10 in declined charges. I sent screenshots the next morning along with the of the out of stock notice and decline charges on my account and they said that they had no intention of assisting as they did nothing wrong. I didn't accuse however I requested their assistance. I also then asked if I could receive a discount off my next order and they refused to assist me and closed the service request. No consideration or responsibility for their part of failing their customer. I will no longer shop with Budget Pet Products as their choice is clear that they rather care about saving $10 than to assist a customer for a good outcome. Very disappointing and terrible service from '[name removed]'.
Budget uses a courier that does not deliver to a majority of areas and delivers to a depot. Then because the item is undeliverable you have to wait for it’s return for a refund. I would never purchase from this company again.

Poor service review, complicated first order process
Ordered Dog Biscuits online through this store, the company returns a few cents into your account and then charges for the product $118.00, and then sends a text message asking you to respond to their request to action more money on your account. May I add the the amount for the product has already cleared my bank account and still no product. I am appalled and disgusted at this method of payment for online shopping. I have returned their text message asking that they refund the amount paid and cancel the order. Luckily I have ordered the dog biscuits through another supplier. This mob need to get their act together.
Online shopping is meant to be EASY! I ordered Tick tablets for my dog to save $60. I regret doing so. This company returns a few cents into your account (which takes 3 days to clear and be visible) then asks you to email them with your address again and the cents refunded to prove you are who you are and not stealing someone’s credit card. Totally stupid. The amount of time I have wasted checking in daily my emails and bank statement to make sure I get my dogs tick treatment on time- was worth the $60 I saved by buying online In The first plac...e. 10 days later- I still haven’t received a shipping tracking confirmation?? Are my items coming? My dog is overdue with his frontline. As a busy mother- I choose to Online shop for convienece and price savings. I bought his online on a Saturday night to save time and when you get the order confirmation email you think great- see it in the post- no need to think about that again. WRONG. I will not be buying from this company again. Regardless if this procedure is a one time thing. I have never in my life come across a company cross checking identity for a $93 item. I have never reviewed a company negatively before- but this frustrated me so much I felt others should know.

This business has offered the worst possible customer service ever. It is frankly a surprise they are still trading. I will never shop here again and will tell every pet owner i come in contact with not to use their business
Impossible to deal with - didnt even send an urgent order in a week because of systems. Would give no stars if possible.
Unbelievable company systems. We ordered a medical product that we needed urgently, and let them know. The following week they emailed to explain they always put a few cents into your account to make sure it is a real account. The payment for the product had been made the previous week. I asked if it had been sent, which it hadn't. We purchased through an Australian registered company, and I suggested they look up the ASIC website, or our website to make sure we are real. That 'wasn't their system'. We also put thousands through large suppliers..., any of whom they could have called to verify. Would never, ever use these again or recommend. They need to ask their customers if a multi-week delivery around is acceptable in this day and age when good companies like the Vet Shed can get stuff to you pretty well overnight. Ended up asking for a refund. I am now told that will also take days.

New brand Royal Canin Anallergenic causes diarrhoea
Unfortunately my wolfhound has had an allergic reaction to the new brand of Anallergenic dry food biscuits. The previous brand purchased from our local vet 3 weeks ago caused no diarrhoea at all and a girl was finally back to herself after a long dietary trial. The only relapse came from purchasing the new branded Anallergenic biscuits from this site. We stopped the biscuits and the diarrhoea stopped. We will now be going back to purchasing directly from our local vet. Dissatisfied and disappointed. Will be seeking a refund.
PayPal - second time I have tried to purchase using paypal which 5 months later is STILL not working
5 months ago I tried to buy a flea treatment online and the payment via paypal (after I had authorised on the paypal site) did not go through so I had to contact them and waste time finding out that "for some customers" paypal is not working. Apparently their IT department looking into it. Now I find the same thing 5 months later and they are still looking into it. I want a simple quick purchase not to have to contact them to try and sort out an email with a paypal link! Over it will not bother to use them again.
beware of this dodgy company
This online shop seems to be taking advantage of the covid 19 situation and advertising exceptionally cheap deals, and when you purchase these deals, this online shop takes your money and will not send your purchase. The evidence I have is they say I need to approve my account, I question this, they then say the credit card is fraudulent, yet they take your money.
Further investigation shows this is not a company and doesn't have a telephone number. I think they are deceiving the public
I have also downloaded the Terms and Conditions, this does not mention approving accounts anywhere as the first email suggests..

Go elsewhere to get what you want
They won’t ship your order until you confirm your account even though you’ve already identified yourself, payed for your order and received an email “confirmation” of your order ? Then when you call the, please call us with any concerns on our 1300 number you get the “sorry due to Covid 19 we won’t take any incoming calls ? What a joke. Save your money go elsewhere.
Poor customer service and first order will take days extra
Be ready to have your first order delayed by days whilst they dick around with identity checks. Rather than stump up for a normal bank credit card 2FA check they will email you and ask for you to confirm a tiny amount that they have credited to your account. This is meant to be on the first order only. For me being a previous customer they couldn’t find my prior orders (despite me emailing them the email order confo) and then their system didn’t work. That’s an hour I wont get back. I cancelled and purchased from vetsupply.com.au and that order went though in a minute.
Do not pay via Paypal if you have multiple payment options in Paypal!
I made the mistake of purchasing a product over the weekend, and set up an auto-renewal for said product, then elected to pay with Paypal. I expected that like any other reputable online retailer, Budget Pet Products would send me off to the Paypal site where I would have to log in, and choose my preferred payment facility. No such luck. Budget Pet Products just went straight to my Paypal account without any further input from me (no logging in, no choosing preferred account/card) and took their money from my USD currency account. It is going ...to cost me far more than the price of the product to replace that USD amount. In looking further into this company, I discovered it is in Queensland - and doesn't that explain plenty? I left Queensland many years ago because I could no longer cope with their narrow view of the world and everyone in it. It does not surprise me in the least that this Queensland 'company' would never ever stop to wonder if someone had more than one bank account.
Beware of auto delivery
They sent me a auto generated message on a Saturday informing me of a auto delivery as I couldn't contact them because they don't work on weekends. I sent a message telling them I did not have a auto delivery set up but by the time monday came around they had gone ahead with order and taken money out of my paypal account. I then had to wait for days to have money put back in my account. This all had to be done via stupid on line chats. Very frustrating. Do not have your systems send out messages on a weekend.

Poor delivery service
Ordered a product over a week ago, got confirmation of same day despatch, contacted them 10 days later to discover delivery could be up 2 weeks. Should put note on website that non local delivery due to COVID could take much longer. If I had known in first instance would have bought locally
Why Do I need to identify myself?
The need to identify yourself by noting when a few cents returns to my account just baffles me. I do not do internet banking and would need to contact my credit card provider to do this. What a waste of my time and energy. If I have paid for products then just send it to me or whomever I nominate it to be sent to. I certainly won't waste my time browsing on this site again.
There are so many fishing schemes out there that are similar to this it sets off alarm bells.
Also why would you hide this in your terms and conditions. You could spell out this requirement when you are entering payment details. I sure would have not ordered if this had been made clear.

I find this store quite expensive.
They do have a large range of products
They do have a few good sales which bring them down in line with other stores.
I have purchased from them before and there delivers time isn't to bad.
Faulty Products! That’s not our Problem.
Purchased some Pet Toys (Kong) from Budget Pet Products, that were on clearance. When I received these, they fell apart within minutes of my pet playing with them. I’d purchased these from another pet store before and knew this wasn’t right. The inner material also fell apart as I rubbed it. Took photos and contacted Budget Pet Products, they did not want to know about it. Was told that they do not sell anything faulty and it is not their responsibility if there’s a problem with the product. Was told that I needed to contact Kong directl...y. !! But isn’t that their job as the seller and company that I directly purchased from? Didn’t realise the rules changed for just this company. Will NOT be purchasing from them ever again. Other pet stores will match their online prices and look after customers if there is a problem with a product. Budget Pet Products get away with this disgusting customer service because they are an online store and don’t have to face their customers Did not offer a return or even to look at products. Was dismissed with emails and option given ‘You need to contact the manufacturer’
Placed order and it was not delivered. The company feels once it is put in the post it is the end of their responsibility! Two weeks. Still waiting. Poor service
What a waste of time and effort
Placed order received confirmation email only to receive a call 2 days later my card had been flagged but customer service said they had their money already!!!!!!
She then said i can pay another transation and email the amount

Their courier service is terrible ,so buying pet food and medicine is regrettable, since all dispatch from QLD ,it just takes few weeks to get into another states ,

they said i could cancel at anytime but they have made it very very difficult, $40 a month and the easiest way to stop it was to contact my bank.

the longest wait time to receive an order & no response to email follow-up
Placed order 6th December.... STILL WAITING and they reckon it'll be 24th Christmas Eve before I receive and that's not guaranteed. I order all my pet products online and Budget Pet charges postage and takes 3 times as long (4 days before an order is dispatched!) then they say another 10 days for post - blame AusPost! Not like Pet Circle who are very quick and efficient plus great prices... sorry but going back to what I know.
Product never arrived and no contact made despite several emails asking where the product was.. there is no contact number I can call. I’m left spending almost $100 and 2 weeks later nothing!!!
Would never buy from here again
Bought a large package of dog food and treats. I usually buy from them every 2-3 months. This time, I had a problem with my order (one of the packets was ripped open and less than half the treats were in the package) and with emails back and forth they concluded that it was a ‘delivery issue’ and they were not going to replace my item.
Questions & Answers
Why do you partner with Aramex for shipping product to consumers when Aramex are unreliable? I will be reluctant to buy from Budget Pet Products in the future due to problems with Aramex.
