Great roof top tent with some flaws
The Bundutec Bundutop tent is an expensive item but it is worth the money for convenience. This tent takes very little time to set up, probably around 60 seconds. Undo four latches and press a button, then grab your ladder.
I have three main complaints. The first one is personal preference - I found the mattress too firm so I have added a softer layer over the top. The second is that I have replaced the ladder with a telescoping one and added different hooks for it to latch on. The original was too flimsy and rattled with every movement. The t...hird problem is that the netting holes are too big. Sure they will stop mosquitos but other smaller bugs still get in. This is particularly of concern when you have the internal light on which attracts the smaller beasties. I will be installing some no-see-um mesh over the top of at least two of the windows. This will decrease air flow through the mesh but will be worthwhile. Other than these issues I think the tent is great, much more convenient that the folding type and more room than a clamshell. The preinstalled wiring for a solar panel on the top makes things easy too! If you are thinking of buying this tent also consider the extra room addition, not for the extra room at the bottom (I have never used it and probably never will) but the awning over the top of the entrance makes it much more pleasant if its raining. It probably adds a couple of minutes to setup and packup time but if it looks like rain it is worth it.
