We have just returned from our first Bunnik tour (Italian Discovery) and it was amazing. From our travel consultant through to our tour guide who was very informative, nothing was to much trouble. We would definitely recommend Bunnik to our family and friends
The Bunnick magic carpet ride thru 6 Eastern European countries over 3,500 km in late spring.
Have just returned from our third Bunnick tour. This trip overland from Moscow to Prague over 3,500 km through six countries worked very well, ably led by tour director Marina and our bus driver Argus.
Hopefully our group of 18 had enough churches, castles and history to satisfy their urges, The highlight for me was cruising in the bus across country, often up smaller rural roads, seeing the real rural areas at the end of spring with green crops and pastures, wild life and farm animals everywhere. It was peak stork nesting season so every spare power pole in Poland seemed to have a nest on top with 2-3 small chicks getting ready to fly.
Can highly recommend Bunnick and their in-country teams.

Bunnik were simply amazing
Bunnik were simply amazing. Everything was done as expected and entire tour was incredible. Couldn’t have asked for more. We were collected at the airport and then had guidance and advice every step of the way, without them being intrusive. There was always somebody to ask, somebody to assist and you never felt alone. The hotel quality was amazing, buses clean and comfortable, tickets always easy and purchased, transport when needed and nothing was ever too much hassle. The other highlight was with the small group, you got to know (as much you wanted) the other people on the tour and everybody of all ages got along. The most amazing highlight though was our guide for the adventure. Ibrahim was amazingly knowledgeable, passionate, caring, understanding and just a really nice guy. Nothing was ever a problem, but everything got done. He had such an amazing knowledge, and wanted to share that knowledge, wanted us to see and feel the whole adventure. They even seemed to time the arrivals so that we just missed the crowds. We had some places where we were the only tour group in the place. And if there were others there because of the small group we would see something nobody else was looking at, and then move to the main attraction when the groups had moved on. Do yourself a favor and travel with Bunnik tours. Just an amazing, breathtaking and incredible adventure. Well worth the money, well worth the time.
Bunniks Namibia, Botswana and Victoria Falls
My wife and I have just returned from our African adventure organised by Bunniks. The 24 day adventure was a high quality tour with an appropriate safari vehicle, beautiful lodge accommodation, very knowledgable guide/ driver and the amazing array of animals seen on the 14 game drives and along the public roads. Each day was filled with a variety of activities. Our guide, Uanee was always at our side making us feel safe. The people of south western Africa are beautiful and were willing to please us as their guests.
Amazing tour of South Korea and Japan
My husband and I did a 28 day tour of South Korea and Japan with Bunnik Tours. South Korea was absolutely amazing - with only 6 people on the tour it was easy to get around. We had long days but worth every bit. Our guide Monica was one of the best guides ever - her knowledge is fantastic. Colour everywhere in South Korea and we saw some wonderful places including 2 shows in the package.
JAPAN - Another 14 joined us to make up the 20 people. Enjoyable and full on however our guide not as good as South Korea. She let us down with knowledge and information and we all became confused some days. Accommodation was fabulous in South Korea but some places in Japan very small and breakfasts did not cater for westerners at all so a bit disappointing. Bunnik Tours is not cheap but this tour was worth every bit.

Another Bunnik 'must see' trip.
Northern Italy, Slovenia and Croatia was our just completed trip and Bunnik again delighted with diverse locations, relaxed starts and seamless organisation. We were constantly amazed at how understated each day's activities were: 'tastings' were full lunches in Italy and cruising the Croatian coast was five star! Being a small group enabled us access to many out-of-the-way destinations that were not 'loved to death' by crowds. Highly recommended.
Jewels of Dalmatia
Great trip. Well organised with lots of time to explore. The three nights in lake Bled were fantastic. We were never rushed. Had relaxed starts on most days. Excellent tour guide. Thankyou Branco. There were no hidden costs. Everything as stated in brochures. Loved it
My wife and I have just finished up the most amazing trip through Morocco and the experience was amazing, not just the trip but throughout the time of booking with Donna H being our contact at Bunnik.
Donna could not be more helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our trip was perfect. The moment we arrived in Casablanca and was greeted by Mouktah (guide) and Ali (driver) we knew we were is safe and capable hands. An intimate group of 7 set off to explore this wonderful country. We travelled through Ramadan which was an amazing experience, the calls to prayer which echoed throughout the streets was haunting and mezmorizing to experience. To be invited off the street in Marrakech to join a local family for iftar blew our mind and opened our hearts. This was one of those trips that took your breath away on more than one occasion, sitting on a sand dune in the middle of the Sahara desert, being at the biggest mosque in Morocco during the holiest of times and exploring the blue city of Chefchaouen. And not to mention all the hands on experiences throughout the trip like a cooking class in Marrakech, pottery making in the atlas mountains, getting lost in the medina's, negotiating a great price in the Souks, cracking Argan seeds with the beautiful
ladies and dancing with the black Africans of Morocco.
The hotels and included meals were amazing and everything ran so very smoothly. I highly recommend this trip as you are totally emerged in the beautiful country of Morocco and I very much recommend Bunnik, this was our second trip with them and we are already looking at their website for the next as we know without a doubt this company is simply the best, no hidden extras and genuine small group touring.

Thank you Bunnik
We have just finished our trip to Spain, Portugal and Morocco with Bunnik. What a fabulous experience from the moment we arrived and greeted by our guide Luis who was a fantastic guide. The itinerary was almost perfect, accommodation very comfortable and we, as a group of 10 clicked from the very beginning. This was our third trip with Bunnik and they have been so easy and friendly to deal with. Thank you Bunnik :)
11/10 for Customer Service
I recently had to cancel my tour of Northern Portugal and Spain as I ended up in hospital with spinal and other fractures. I contacted the team at Bunnik Tours to inquire about late cancellation and other fees. The response was very supportive of my situation and every query I made was answered completely. The team took my worries away at a time when I was so stressed and in a lot of pain. They even went beyond the call when I answered my door late in the afternoon to receive a gorgeous bunch of flowers!! What company to-day cares this much...? I was overwhelmed by their genuine care, support and sensitivity to my situation. Thank you Bunnik Tours and see you next year
Sri Lankan Discovery Tour
This tour covered all our expectations. We learnt a lot about Sri Lanka and had a taste of the big cities, highlands, coastal towns, cultures, the people and some terrific guides. There was a good mix of hotels and we had no extras to pay apart from a few meals. The first part of the tour was a little hectic but we saw and learnt a lot about the culture and history of this wonderful country.
The program was altered slightly so we could climb Sigiriya in the morning instead of the afternoon as the temperatures were well above normal for March/April. A good move.
We had a good group who all got along well. Although this was a small group tour, 20 is still quite a large number but no one was ever late and we all had window seats on the tour bus.
Our guide Anu, put in 100%.
This was out 4th Bunnik Tour and was up there with the other three.
My mother suffered a brain aneurism 2 months prior to a trip booked for Spain and Morocco with a friend. She survived, however told not to travel by neurologist. She and her travel companion both paid $10k deposit each and now bunik will not refund one cent. A Disgusting no refund policy and poor customer service to not even try working towards a compromise given her life threatening circumstance. Beware of these money grabbing operators and seek alternative operators!
Egypt in Depth - Go Now!
I wanted a small group tour and the itinerary of Egypt in Depth included Alexandria, one of my "bucket-list" destinations. Booking through Bunnik's was straight-forward and all of my questions were responded to quickly and answered completely. The Tour was fantastic in all ways. I really did not have one moment of doubt or disappointment. The fabled temples, tombs and statues provided the WOW-factor, but it was the small, personal experiences that remain with me - losing my heart to the faded charm of Alexandria and the natural beauty of Aswan; dancing on the ferry while crossing the Nile; hot-air ballooning in Luxor's dawn; the Alabaster workshop boys' rap performance; the dancing waiters on the cruise, who put us all to shame; being welcomed into a private house in the Nubian village; my unexpectedly emotional response on visiting the Commonwealth War Cemetery at El Alamein and taking in the cafe culture in Cairo and Aswan. To those who immediately ask me, "but was it safe?" I can say that the security measures at airports, in the wider Egypt itself and at the hotels was impeccable, obvious and very reassuring. The Bunnik's representatives, our daily drivers and, of course, our unflappable, erudite Tour Leader, all played their part in caring, shepherding and showing us their love for their country and its people with great humour, infinite understanding and often military precision! I say "Book Now" - the weather is perfect, there are not too many other tourists and word of how wonderful it is will rapidly get around. Get in before the rush!
Northern Spain & Portugal
I chose Bunnik because of their Small Group philosophy & everything that stemmed from it. And this tour because of the nature of the itinerary - the appeal was in the places we could go to that the big companies, logistically, can't. In Portugal, they're restricted to Lisbon & Porto, but , in addition, we enjoyed smaller locations which had their own character (Coimbra, Aveiro, Nazare & Sintra ahead of Lisbon & the Algarve beyond). It was generally well researched & planned ( except for the inclusion of Madrid, which has been deleted from 2019 ), all hotels excellent choices ( except Silken Amara, too far from the San Sebastian CBD ) & all 10 local guides highly knowledgeable. The linchpin was Tour Director John Velez, leader, guide & mentor, Melbourne born & educated (Melbourne Uni), Spanish father, therefore fluent in Spanish - a most accomplished TD who strongly influenced our Group's cohesion. 19 of us from mid-50s to early 70s - intelligent, thoughtful & supportive of each other, therefore great interaction. But boisterous in our enjoyment of the Group dinners, but that's the Spanish way! Special mention to our two drivers, Alex & Ricardo, especially Alex who skillfully & safely negotiated the Pyrenees. Despite the individual highlights ( Gaudi's astonishing designs & creations in BCN, San Sebastian ), the major highlight for me was our Group & the memorable occasions we shared & enjoyed. Would I do another tour like this? Only if it could be guaranteed that the Group be as good as ours was. And I doubt that it could be. Despite the above, I've rated our tour 4 but would've like to give it 4.5
Namibia, Botswana & Victoria Falls
Full marks for the group size, itinerary and inclusions. The tour leader showed consideration, his first responsibility being for the safety and comfort of those under his care. Although the tour leader mostly had the necessary knowledge, the use of local guides when visiting various game reserves or waterways, added an additional dimension to what we were experiencing. This small group tour spoilt us so in future we will only be considering "small group tours" .
Of the national parks and reserves visited, Etosha National Park in Namibia was for us the most exciting for the variation of wild life ......amazing.
We loved the variety of animals, birds, the landscapes and the good nature with smiles and laughter of the people.
We are very grateful to the Flight Centre, Nambour, for recommending Bunnick Small Group Tours. Thank you Bunnick and our sincere thanks to our tour guide for looking after us with such consideration.
South American Discovery
This was our second Bunnik tour, the first Egypt/Jordan In Depth ( September/October 2017) was brilliant. South American Discovery (September/October 2018) was more than what we expected in terms of organisation, extraordinary experiences, well-planned itinerary, standard of accommodation and transportation and most of all outstanding guides. Carlos who guided us through Ecuador and Peru must be singled out since he could not do enough for us; he was knowledgeable, attentive to individual needs and an all-round terrific guy who was also musical. We are now faced with the joyful but difficult task of selecting images from over 2,500 to illustrate some of the wonderful things we saw and did to create a photo album and DVD to share with family and friends. Thank you Marion, Dennis and Sacha and the Bunnik team for two memorable holidays and we will be back for more.
South America Discovery
At first blush the South America tour may seem expensive but you get what you pay for and you won’t be disappointed. Be prepared for many flights but that is unavoidable given you are covering a whole continent. This was my second Bunnicks tour and even better that the one I did to Egypt, Jordan and Israel. Expect to be looked after on Bunnicks tours and enjoy a well planned tour that goes beyond the usual tourist haunts that you will also see. The small group format is a highlight as you make genuine friends. The tour guides were excellent - attentive and knowledgeable. This company does detailed research and as a result we were constantly treated to unexpected delights like lunch at a rose plantation and a tango show. A fabulous trip and well worth doing!
Jewels of Dalmatia 26 August - what a wonderful tour!!
Just back home from a wonderful tour of Croatia, Bosnia and Slovenia. The tour was the best....the mix of our new "friends" and the leadership of our tour director Branko made it a very memorable holiday. Nineteen of us - ranging from mid forties to seventies - helped create a fun trip with all enjoying the great sense of humour of our tour director who really did "get" the aussie humour. The scenery was breathtaking!! Lead by our Branko...we enjoyed absolutely beautiful scenery in Plitvice Lakes, Lake Bled, mountain tops, beautiful gorges and other stops along the way that were photobook worthy. Too many to name....loved it all. Nevres - our bus driver - delivered us safely through the tour on a large bus. The tour was very well structured. Enough free time for me to engage in another favourite activity....shopping! It was nice to have two nights in every stop with three nights in Dubrovnik. We did had some early starts....but it wasn't constant. Travel days on the bus, the free time in cities, included special dinners and local walking tours made the pace of the tour a very enjoyable experience. I wish I could do it again!!!
Sri Lankan Discovery - Kandy Festival
Very enjoyable experience and our Tour Guide Thushara was efficient, friendly, supportive and organised. An excellent Tour guide albeit sometimes he did not have full grasp of english language.Standard of accommodation was very good and overall the best we have encountered on our travels. The hotel in Kandy was a great central venue to view the procession from reserved seating, The variety of sights visited made the tour interesting and enlightening. Maximum of 2 night stays in most places was welcomed and appreciated. . Booked the trip through our Travel Agent and the process was seamless and easy.Well done again Bunnik.
