tool repair issue
purchased a Makita blower that needed a new motor after using just once which took over month to get repaired with no customer feed back from the North Geelong store
Excellent customer service
Awesome. Excellent customer service. Can't complain about anything. Everything in one place is excellent. Can't wait to shop again on. Openpay
Website driving me up the wall
Website used to be pretty average. Now it is useless.
Trying to look for something takes ages. For example I want to see the items that are actually available for sale, not special order. I can't. Instead I get several pages of random items. Not possible to make a basic search. Why does a website have to be this stupid?
I have been purchasing items for work several times a week for work for years. Indeed, I have hundreds of dollars in receipts in my wallet needing to be processed through work. I needed a piece of scrap cardboard this morning and figured that I would just go to Bunnings and ask for a small waste box for the cardboard. I was told by the girl at the door that I can’t have one unless I buy something. Customer service at Bunnings is generally poor, but I usually accept that as the price I pay for the convenience. No more. This experience just tipped the balance for me and I’ll never go there again.
Good service, handy to this option available
Always works when I need it and come in handy on quite a few occasions, will continue any this service only fault would be is a higher limit to spend would help
Poor, service and bad attitude
I would like to provide a recount of the incident that took place today when I have attempted to pick up my order at ………. warehouse.
Upon arrival at 11.27am at the car park, I was directed towards Bay 6 by young staff member in anticipation of collecting my order.
After 20 minutes waiting, I have approached the middle aged staff member who have replaced the other one in the meantime to find out how much longer I had to wait. I had explained to him that I was on my lunch break and didn’t have much more time.
In response he told me that – we ...are doing our best mate- If that was true – I have responded with a smile- you would pick up your walkie talkie and find out what is happening with my order. He responded by giving me a nasty look, than he proceeded to pick up his walkie talkie. After acknowledging someone on the other end, he proceeded saying the following – Hey, there is this a……e here kicking up a stink because he has to wait for his order. He then proceed with my order details. In response, the lady on the other end replied that they have lost my order. As the staff member was no more than a short distance away, all this clearly audible.
Great to get u some home repairs
Found everything I needed and more, plus good easy repayments.
Helpful and friendly service. Easy to join quick access love it
Many years ago Bunnings was a disaster. Rude, inconsiderate, unreliable and undertrained staff frequented the stores I visited. I can remember being 18 and asking where the sticky backed hook Velcro was located as I needed it for a project, then having to walk away from one seemingly rude, unhelpful and particularly unknowledgeable staff member whom was scoffing at us like a pompous jerk. I would have just chalked it up to a bad day, however this was common at all the stores I visited over the next few years. Nearly impossible to find assistanc...e, nearly impossible to get knowledge on a subject and furthermore often confusing and messy store layouts. I literally hated going Bunnings so when Masters opened I found their motto of friendly helpful service was quite appealing. (Buzzers for assistance, well organised and appealing stores, friendly staff, online ordering, store pick up, free trade coffee, etc). I also had a working relationship servicing all masters stores, (as a contractor so no team chanting, back patting or cheering for me), starting before they opened the first store in Braybrook. After the experience with the Masters associates I avoided Bunnings like the plague, purely as a result of previous interactions with their staff. A couple of years later one of my co workers commented how much better the Bunnings experience had become since the opening of Masters. One day out of desperation I had no option but to go to a Bunnings store, I found that the interaction was quite pleasant. No pompous condescending un knowledgeable staff members ignoring you, scoffing at you or being rude and condescending. I also noted that the stores were better organised and appeared to be decluttered and simply put, more user friendly. This trend seemed to become standard across the stores over the next few years as I started to return more frequently. Then sadly my beloved masters was to go the way of the dodo, I had assumed that Bunnings would fall back into the old ways now that it appeared victory had been achieved. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Through my work I have visited many Bunnings stores in every state, except WA, and what I find is that the staff are very similar in attentiveness and helpfulness. If the staff member doesn’t know the answer they will find someone who potentially will or try to point you in the right direction. Bunnings has now become one of my favourite places to frequent, others being spotlight, Total Tools, Sydney Tools and number one is pretty much any bottle shop.
Bunnings incompetence strikes again
Looked Bunnings web site for a room heater to find its in stock at Rydalmere . I drive to the store and look at the heaters but can only see the display item. Then line up at the help desk to be told there are 10 in stock. Return to heaters and wait for staff member. He also looks around and say's they may be in stock out the back. Wait another 10 minutes be told, wait for this, their supplier logs into the Bunnings system and tells them (Bunnings) how much stock they have but as Monday is a public holiday the supplier didn't deliver and they ...wont be available until Tuesday. Look on web site which indicates low stock at Northmead so I ring to check. Told they have one but its a returned item and they will keep it for me. Ok say I, I will drive there. Line up again at the help desk get shown the heater and explained it was fully inspected etc. Then im told it's $119 or $129 but the one I wanted was $89. After another 5 min of messing around - oh dear, wrong model. They have 1 of the ones I want in stock. The sales assistant takes me to look at the heaters - no prizes for guessing - we only have display stock. Rings the boss who agrees to sell it for $80. Go back to the help desk and asked to wait in line again. The other sales assistant looks at the heater and finds out the power cord is cut and wires exposed. "Sorry cant sell this one". Typical Bunnings - out of stock, don't have as many or the size you need, always coming into stock next few days etc. etc . No wonder I stopped shopping in Bunnings. Find a reliable store cause they are are not.
Call before you go and expect no one available for advice
Over the last 5 years at least 3 out of 5 times I arrived at the Bunnings and left empty handed because they simply did not have the item in stock. They don't do delivery like most stores these days and service or getting someone to talk to in the store is a mission impossible. I have had it and now use my local Mitre10 in Mona Vale. What a difference!! They offer the same price but actually have a great customer service and people to talk to....
Product needed urgently
I needed this product urgently without the spare money, Openpay was easy and affordable, made my life easy, and a welcome addition to my house.
No help if there is issue with a product they sell to you
Bought paint from Bunnings that isn't curing and they have just told me to contact paint supplier and now I'm in the middle between Bunnings and Rust-Oleum who are blaming each other while I'm stuck with ruined kitchen and major stress trying to sort out what I'm going to have to do to make my kitchen usable again with soft paint all over my kitchen cupboards. Thanks Bunnings
Cleaner car with a new pressure washer
The pressure washer works as described and was reasonably priced, it has now been tested a number of times. The price was supported by the availability of Openpay
Poor quality products, and won’t allow negative reviews
Bunnings is a textbook case of what people get when all competition is taken away.
They sell more poor quality products that require re-purchase (and more profit) than ever before. The product choice available is often between one rubbish brand or another rubbish brand.
Bought a garden soil thermometer for my greenhouse . Because my greenhouse is in the sun, the thermometer was also in the sun. Within a few months it disintegrated and become unusable. It wasn’t UV stable.
I left a review accordingly on the Bunnings website only to be rejected. I then sent an email to customer support to enquire why but never got a reply.
That’s Bunnings for you. Poor quality products. Poor quality customer service.
Website stopping me from purchasing
Bunnings missed a golden opportunity to update their website to the 21st century.
The website is a hindrance to actually looking and buying the goods I need. Search function is too smart by half. Filtering results is mind boggling stupid.
Silver lining is that I still actually found what I was looking for, elsewhere and cheaper.
(Can’t wait for the rep to chime in to say they are working on it. Sure….)
