My first Purchase with Bunnings
My very first purchase at Bunnings came across a faulty website. The purchase did not go through but the money was taken out of my bank. It was frustrating. The staff were most patient and were quick to acknowledge the website was faulty and accepted the responsibility of the mistake that it had occurred and ended up giving me the goods for free and had someone come to my area and deliver them in person to me to my house. All I wanted and expected was for my goods to be sent in a reasonable time but was taken aback by their awesome attitude. ....They went out of their way and I was overwhelmed by their high standards. I came across Bunnings at its best. There are exceptional people with very high standards at Bunnings which I discovered and came across very quickly. Despite a mistake despite my frustration my first experience dealing with Bunnings left me with a very good impression. The staff handled it perfectly they could not have handled it better.
Online times. Ridiculous.
Have been trying to avoid stores during this covid stuff so decided to try online bunnings. Order placed 12 days ago. Got the confirmation email which said we will contact when item is shipped. Still no word. Emailed customer service. No reply. . . First and last time for this.
Chatswood store supervisor was rude arrogant blase and unprofessional
Went to buy 2 x kitchen pantry. Asked about delivery. Staff member said take them downstairs for delivery. I said it's about 50kg each. I asked how much delivery was, he said $40 if it fits on a ute. $40 extra to take it inside. Two nice staff (not guy I asked) lifted onto trolley for me, tell me to pay and organise downstairs. I pay they say take it to the trade counter to organise delivery. I get to the counter they say it's $150 for delivery. I ask to speak to manager. Same initial guy I spoke to! I said why did you tell me delivery ...was $80 now it's $150. He says " You didn't say it's in an apartment and they have to carry up stairs. I said there's a lift! He said well no it's $150 to an apartment. If you told me it was to an apartment I would have told you that's that price. VERY arrogant and rude. Never mentioned different prices for delivery, only $40 for delivery to the location and $80 to delivery inside. All this after I'd lugged it downstairs and paid for it then lugged to trade desk. No apology for HIS mistake of assuming I lived in a house and $150 delivery is more than the item so ridiculous. Really shocked this guy is a supervisor with his really bad attitude and lack of service even contemptuous when we asked why he told us a totally different price. Absolute lack of care and respect. He didn't care at all about doing the right things and having integrity. Very disappointing considering there are other really nice people working at Bunnings and usually they are friendly and WANT to help you, not talk down to you when they give you the wrong information and inconvenience you. Why make this awful guy a supervisor?? Bunnings please do better.
Has everything you need
I shop at Woodville SA bunnings and each and every time the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Even with the Covid-19 restrictions and additional lineups, the staff are accommodating and helpful.
I will never shop at Bunnings again, went to the Noarlunga store in SA today. It starts with an evil glare from a distance by a staff member at the garden entrance which is now exit only I found out, as I walked closer when the evil stare turned into a hiss & a spit from the staff member demanding I walk around to the front of the store despite there being not a single customer in sight. So I walk around to the front entrance, walk past 3 staff members in a group nearly blocking the way through... get what I need despite wanting to leave alread...y due to all the rude behaviour of the staff. So then I go to exit & exit on the wrong side only to verbally abused basically for going the wrong way. I swear they would swiftly take you down & perform a citizen's arrest if their verbal attacks weren't adhered to the way they act at that store.. they are loving this power trip they're on.
"OMG" I thought I couldn't get worse at bunnings
I understand there are restrictions in place to assist with social distancing, but what happened at bunnings today was way over the top. I accidentally entered the store the wrong way and was a metre away from the entry to the shop, when I was told I have to turn back and go the other way. I pointed out I am already close to the entry and now it wouldn't matter, but the staff member insisted I have to go back. I never really liked shopping there but felt there is no alternative, I defiantly will be looking for one now as I will never go back.
I wouldn't go there if there was another choice.
Another absolute cluster, just getting pool salt today. Excess stock and forklifts all parked around this one corner, so you have to park in the aisle to load up. Heaps of room down every other aisle for this to be spread out. Then some kid under instruction from his manager telling you, that you can't park there just as you finish. Have a look at your layout Bunnings. Salt obviously is a popular item as there are extra pallets of it. Make it easy to get to, and remove your overstock and equipment from the main corner in the shed. I am really starting to detest this place. Every cent I spend there feels like a depletion of my soul.
Resolution of previous complaint quickly, efficiently and courteously.
Previous complaint related to a faulty spray gun under warranty. Bunnings staff members at Bairnsdale not amenable to replacing it.
Within two days the issue was resolved. I have a new spray gun, an apology and a respectful attitude. Well done, Bunnings.

Online order and delivery
We ordered last night at 7.50pm for a delivery of fence extensions. Said it would take between 2-8 days which was fine we didnt need them immediately. At 7.11am this morning i recieved a text saying ETA in 5 minutes, lucky i work not far away and as i turned the corner into my street he was pulling out of my driveway. And there was my delivery neatly laying in my car port. My dog would have gone nuts lol.
But wow.....how fast was that! Not 8 days 8 hours.
Well done on this service, was definitely worth the $40 fee.
Service with a smile
I recently bought a heat pump hot water service from Bunnings, the process of buying was very good and there were no problems there, but after the product was installed I needed to reach out to the company because of a problem with the unit. While dealing with the manufacturer became problematic, Bunnings were very supportive and went the extra yard for me.
Are they for real?!
Why promote this service if you dont give this service. I got here on time to collect, followered their instructions, I’m still waiting, no one is answering the phone. What do I do??? It’s Friday evening, I’ve got lots to do, time is so scarce. I’m so angry!!! How long am I meant to wait for?! Why don’t they answer their bloody phone?? Looks like I’ve wasted my time and Friday night. You suck bunnings, I want my money back! Why advertise it?? WHY?!? My whole weekend was revolving around my order! Absolutely Crap Customer Service
After waiting for 12 months for a response from the Operations Manager from the Victoria Point Store. Another manager took over the case (with Still no outcome). My case is they provided me with the incorrect Product to paint my drive way. Oil based paint as per their staff’s recommendations. Which was totally wrong (it made my drive way an ice-skating ring).3 people fell over. The final straw was when I fell over. Their solution was to paint over the paint oil-based paint with water based! Problem is it keeps peeling off. I have rung their Bri...sbane head office still no response. And I have rang there Victoria Point store and again no response. So if that wont listen then I will take to social media to get there Attention! Happy for anyone at Bunnings to call me..
Highly Recommend The Bunnings Keysborough Branch
Highly Recommend The Bunnings Keysborough Branch
I highly recommend the Bunnings branch in Keysborough. One of their managers Mike (who had an American or Canadian accent) went out of his way to assist me with a significant problem I had, which I appreciate.
If i had purchased this product via Ebay and had the same problem, there is no way they would have been able to assist me, even with their buyer protection policy.
Ps: The reason for this positive review is because I like to reward excellent customer service, as I’ve had some shockingly bad service over the years, from various retail outlets.
Bunnings plant scam
We often go to Bunnings to grab a few plants. Today we notice big signs mega punnets 17.95 so we go ok we will get one had a good look and they were all in trays so we thought well that must be the mega punnet as all were the same . Get the counter and the guy rings up double the price advertised we go hang on is that not a mega punnet he says no and takes one lot out of the tray and says thats a mega punnet. I go.how do you call that mega and why if thats a mega punnet why arnt they all out of trays . His answer was mate thats it do you want i...t or not i dont know why they leave them in the trays maybe because it sucks you in to grab a tray with a chuckle. Must have bought thousands of dollars worth of plants over the years from bunnings but they just got the last dollar they will ever get out of me.
Ordered over the phone for delivery and two items were accidentally not in the box. Lachie (customer service) personally sourced the items from another store and dropped them to my door. Wow! Original shipping was prompt and apart from the incomplete order everything else was great. Bunnings went above and beyond to resolve.
Questions & Answers
Can I use concrete paint or garage epoxy on my floor tiles in my house. I’ve used the white knight tile paint on my kitchen tiles and loved the result but I’ve been advised not to paint floor tiles as it chips and doesn’t last with the tile paint.

We suggest touching base with your local paint experts. if you can advise on your local store and your best email address we can have an expert get in touch (send us a DM by clicking the logo)
What is Bunnings protocol for sealing paint after it has been mixed in-store?
Shannon W.Bunnings Warehouse
Thanks so much for getting in touch, we don't have anything specifically on a policy. Most of our team in store will use a rubber mallet to make sure the lid is secure and other store will do that and tape the top of it.
