Worst service ever
We had a quote for three screen doors. The man who quoted was great but all down hill from there . They called to say they were installing the doors and to pay the balance. When installation came a week later . The installer arrived at 8 am and found the doors had scratches on them and only had two doors not three . I received a call from the manager who offered numerous excuses as to why the third door hadn’t turned up . A second appt was made to install the doors . This time only one door was given to the installer. , no communication s...ince but they are supposably turning up end of week with all doors to install. Never do business with burns for blinds as there communication is terrible and making you pay for something that clearly was not made is illegal and he been reported. I now see why they have taken the review section off there Facebook page as would be full of one star reviews . Management need to look at quality control and themselves
Terrible experience wouldn't recommend at all. All smiles when getting the business but as soon as something goes wrong they didn't want to know about it.
My wife tried to ring the consultant about the fault and couldn't get through for weeks, when I called I got through straight away, so clearly screening calls and avoiding the customer.
Rang to the store to speak to a manager about the faulty mechanism and were told they wouldn't do anything about it.
We still have another 7 rooms in our house to go, will be taking our money elsewhere.
Wish we had have read all of the reviews before deciding to go with this company as it seems there are many others that have had similar experiences
Burns for Blinds has been a disappointment. Their promotion and sales are slick but the service is woeful. Our blind installation has to be rearranged twice, the first time because the electrician was sick, the second time because they forgot to reschedule the crew. (Interestingly, I have spoken to a friend whose Mother had the exact same experience - with the same excuse of the electrician being sick proffered.) The woman who rearranged the first appointment - and then did not reschedule - was rude. I asked to speak with the GM or owners after the second postponement and they showed no interest whatsoever. I cannot recommend this business.
Average quality blinds, Terrible Service
Install was scheduled and the installer texted me at 5pm on the day of the install THREE TIMES saying he wouldn't be able to make it today. Unprofessional and unapologetic. Look elsewhere.

They will try to sell you the wrong products, do the wrong measurements, and worst of all, they will leave you high and dry for weeks without communication after failed installation. Their customer service just doesn't exist. They cannot fulfill the order yet refuse to refund the deposit.
Empty apology from general manager is not good enough, Burns for Blinds need to refund my deposit and move on to improve the service!!!
The worst service I have ever experienced in my life.
I placed my order on the 12th of November. Was to that I should get them before Christmas.
I spent over $20,000 for curtains, roller shutters and zip lock blinds.
I received my curtains on 22nd December 2920.
Received roller shutters on2nd March 2021.
Received zip lock blinds on27th April.
I have had multiple issues with roller shutters, one which is supposed to be fixed next week, the other hasn’t yet been seen. I will probably have to wait another month before anything happens there.
After multiple calls emails sent to service manager while I was standing in the store still no response.
How can you keep advertising when you can’t look after the current clients.

We ordered curtains and two door screens. We were told installation would be 3-4 weeks away. Curtains were installed 7 weeks later, the door screens 11 weeks later. The screens were only installed after several phone calls complaining about the delay. We are happy with the quality of the screens. As for the curtains, the quality and appearance are as expected, but one curtain does not clear the carpet in the centre. I couldn't recommend any business which is so far out with their promised delivery date.
Burns for Blinds - do not touch this company
From the moment we signed and paid for double cellular interior blinds with the cord lock system, it went downhill from there. Huge delays followed (contract signed and 50% paid in June 2020, installed in October) with a lack of communication with us. Comments of “we don’t have that color in stock”…(we had chosen common, plain white) was a surprise for us. Day 1 of installation, we found them incredibly difficult to raise. We mentioned this to the installers and they just said that’s normal. The next day, one of the brackets pulled out the wall.... This was booked in for ‘maintenance’ 2 weeks later! We mentioned our concerns that the blinds were just too heavy and you needed 2 hands to grasp the cord to pull down and in fact hurt my hands to do this. The bottom plate was made of steel and felt like we were pulling up a boat anchor! We suggested that surely that bottom plate could be made out of a lighter material such as aluminium or plastic but were told “No, it has to be steel”. We could see after just 1 day that the forces that were being applied every time we raised the blinds, that the cords or the mechanism were going to break after a short while. Only 3 months later, 3 blinds failed - they didn’t stay locked in the ‘up’ position. Following many calls from us suggesting the blinds were just too heavy for this cord lock system to be sustainable, the consultant agreed to contact the company that actually makes the blinds which is in NSW (so much for the “Proudly SA family owned and operated business since 1953” recording that you have to endure every time you ring!). More delays in waiting for a response back but eventually we DID get some satisfaction from the Product Manager who agreed to having all 11 blinds removed, remade and reinstalled. When this happened - (it’s now the end of April the following year), the blinds had been remade with the ‘Easyrise’ system and, best of all, a much lighter base plate of aluminium as we had suggested in the first place! However, 1 of the newly remade blinds was faulty so the installer took it away with him and said it would need to be remade. We heard nothing for 2 months - it’s now June 2021 so I phoned. The faulty blind had not been handed in or reported and had therefore not been actioned!!! Plus, that installer didn’t work for them anymore (no surprises there) so couldn’t chase anything up with him. We are now waiting yet again for who knows how long. This was all initiated in June 2020, paid $7,500 and it is now June 2021 and is still ‘incomplete’. We now have no confidence that any breakages or faults that happen with the blinds will be attended to appropriately. Save yourself a lot of worry and choose another company for your blinds!

Atrocious product, customer service, installers and managers! From our first appointment the installer did not communicate with us or give us any advice regarding blinds/colour. Secondly he took down WRONG measurements for 6 windows/doors out of 11 in total. When the products finally arrived more than half of our blinds were wrong. They had to be redone. 4 weeks later all 6 were WRONG AGAIN! I spoke to their manager Anil, and I asked for a refund which as a consumer I had the right to ask for one since I had given them a chance to rectify their...mistake and they were wrong yet again. It would be considered a major fault. He refused and said he would not charge us the outstanding $350. He then booked us a second remake in two weeks on a Thursday. 2 weeks later I'm waiting for the installers and they did not turn up. Anil ended up changing the appointment to the following Tuesday without informing me. Such unprofessionalism from both the initial installer which was very rude and had no social skills and to their manager who continuously lies. Unfortunately this was communication was via phone and not written. So fast forward a few weeks later. Anil is chasing up the $350! I received a phone call from yet another manager Michael, who claimed they had hired him to fix Burns for Blinds reputation and he apologized for our experience and said he will do what he can about the outstanding balance. 2 days later they send us a court notice for the $350! Save your sanity and do not order anything from them. Both their managers and installers are horrid people and liars.
Never use this company
We have waited over 5 months for a $10,000 order. We were promised 2 months. Our order has been partially completed last month. Will never use them or recommend them
We are not happy with the service we were given I would not recommend burns for blinds to anyone else at all the reason is they cut the footings of the verandah posts and promised that they will replace them we have tried to contact the consultant and the office service department and got no response at all 4 months and waiting
Will never go near them again
The cellular blinds were not cheap, the service was slow (6 weeks to get a second remote controller), the indoor window blind motors are not strong enough to draw the blinds to the top. It took 5 weeks to get a tech. onsite to tell us that the batteries were probably spent (after 2 weeks of use?). The tech. as good as told us that the installer had done an inferior job of programming our remote (we needn't have spent $100 (!) for a 2nd remote). Lastly the bathroom plantation shutters were manufactured to open on the wrong side, meaning that the measure and quote got it wrong. Only good thing is that we are satisfied with the quality of the blinds and the shutter.
Gave my house plans to the Norwood store for a quote for interior blinds. Was promised the earth, once deposit was paid it was like I didn't exist, each time I rang she is on the phone or not available or busy or out to lunch. All they want is the sale and obviously their commission and then they don't care! Run, do not use - how can a company have so many promotions / sales???

"4week turn around" has now been 5months and we're still going.
We had a salesperson come over in December and we gave the go ahead for 7 indoor roller blinds and 3 outdoor roller shutters. We were told it would be a 4week turn around. It took 6weeks to get the roller blinds installed and the installer said "they lost one of them and they would either have to find it or make a new one". We were expecting the roller shutters to be installed the same day and nothing arrived. When we called the office it sounded li...ke they didn't know they were supposed to be done. The last blind had to be remade... again another 6weeks for that and the outdoor roller shutters were organised to be installed the same day. The guys rock up, they have two complete shutters but only the top case for the third and not the metal "curtain". Also one of the panels was heavily scratched on installation. We were told someone would be in contact with us by Friday April the 10th, Monday the 13th came around and we had to call them. It spoke with who I think was the warehouse supervisor and organised the third shutter being installed and a replacement panel for May the 14th. The guys rock up, it's the right part but we have the German made shutter and they had the Australian made part, it's thicker so it doesn't fit. The contractors said "who knows when they'll be getting that part in again". Everyone I have spoken with and seen has been nice but whoever is running the show is an absolute joke! The business needs a major restructure!
If you want terrible service, choose Burns for Blinds
We ordered curtains and blinds 3 months ago, and they are only just finishing the install now. We had to follow up repeatedly, in order to get any action. They had to return to our house to remeasure and remake the blinds because they measured incorrectly. The products are fine… nothing special but they are what we ordered…but it’s the services and business practices that are terrible!
They are misleading:
They make “mistakes” with invoicing. The sales rep wrote out four seperate invoices and conveniently made the the total cost confusing so ...
