Blind installation

Workman was very efficient. Arrived at 5pm finished at 7pm.He detected wrong parts and fixed. Saved Burns reputation by dedication.

The installation was by far the best part of the process

The quoting process was good, there was back and forth with final measure and removal of old blinds that was frustrating and time consuming, incorrect colour brackets supplied to installers but fortunately looks ok. Installers by far the best part of the process

Excellent end product

Show room staff at both stores I went in were professional, had answers and pointed me in the right directions colour wise.

Installers were quick and smiling both times asked if they could leave front doors open before doing so (incase I had a cat/dog etc)

Only con was time from original payment to end product nearly 5 months in total.

Excellent product but poor customer service

Poor communication. Mis-communication between the various teams within the business. Poor customer service - admin were kind & friendly but had no idea where things were at - it was hard to get answers to my questions. Many errors in manufacturing (eg hinges on the wrong side, wrong size of product) that had to go back to manufacture. The whole process took months. However the products are of excellent quality and the installers were really good. The sales people were great too.

I thought the sales guy interpersonal skills could be better. But the installation person who also did the check measure as was excellent he had great customer skills. The blinds look great.

Outdoor awning looks fabulous and does a great job!

Burns for blinds were easy to deal with and helped us choose the right awning for our needs with no pressure. The installer Adam was on time, friendly, efficient and explained how to best use the blind. Would highly recommend.
The awning was little more expensive than I thought however it appears well made compared to some.

We had installers from burns for blinds come out 4 times to try install one blind, with each time a part missing and the job not being able to be completed. Vinny who was our final installer was great to deal with and finished off the blind for us finally.

Issues with the advice and installation.

The blind over the sliding door and front window were too long, had the issue reviewed by Burns for Blind and when the service person came out he just raised each vertical - so simple to fix. The blind over the sliding door the cord to open them was hanging down. Was asked if I wanted it fixed to the wall and I advise no but didn't understand the cord would hang down and they must be attached to the wall. Why was I asked if I wanted it done. The old verticals had a weight - I was not advise they don't come with weights now. Issues that could have been alleviated if installed properly eg length and not asked about fitting to the wall.

we had a home visit for our order. my post purchase issues waiting for the delivery and especially the scheduling of the installation were many, it should have been handled better. the installers were polite, efficient, professional, and expert in the product.

ohh and I forgot to say order placed on 26/1/2021 and installed 20/9/2021 - lots of cancellations by company.

Install was scheduled and the installer texted me at 5pm on the day of the install THREE TIMES saying he wouldn't be able to make it today. Unprofessional and unapologetic. Look elsewhere.
