Canon PowerShot G11

I love it. Best point and shoot camera out there – I usually use the auto mode cause am still figuring out how to use the manual options. Even with the existing auto modes, they take amazing photos! Amazing! it softens the photos, and makes me look very good (thinner with better skin) haha. Anyone asks me what camera to get, I'd say this one. or the G12 now. Everything! the ease of use, the photo quality. Only thing is that it's continuous shots are very slow, average about 1sec per shoot.
Excellent – Thiscamera was purchased as the best option to replace my existing Film SLR camera(s) and lenses. I could not justify a new DSLR and lense system as I am not a serious photographic enthusiast but at the same time I wanted something a lot better than a simple point and shoot device. This purchase was made on the basis of reviews in Australian Photographic Magazine and the Sydney Morning Herald for this particulat level of camera.
I have tested this camera under the widest range of shooting conditions, near darkness to bright sunlight and macro to full telephoto. All the results are most satisfactory. (This was also a great way to familiarise myself with, and learn how to use the amazing range of features that this camera has)
In short I am very happy with this camera. Well built with a good feel about it but still compact enough (just) to fit in a pocket. Wide range of facilities and shooting options. Good battery life and simple recharging system.Manual focus option and focusing down to 1cm. Most impotantly very satisfactory image results. Nothing obvious.
