J1016832 excellent experience
My building experience with Carlisle homes has been smooth, easy and stress free experience.
Very happy with the service they have provided and the outcome to my house is excellent. My cle and ss has given me all the information that I needed to know about my house on pci and settlement day.
Very professional service.
Finally we have our first home and that too from Carlisle homes easy living. From the sales consultant to CLE and SS we had an amazing team. Not a single day we regretted our decision. Smooth transition with no drama. Total build time 2 months. Very helpful and cooperative team. I waited for our house to be completed to write my over all experience. Our CLE was helpful throughout the building period. First SS was changed in 3 weeks but another one took over the job seamlessly and kept the momentum same. Overall very happy and satisfied. I hope they keep the same customer service after the hand over.
Friendly, Responsive and Helpful Colour Selection
We had our colour selection day and it was a wonderful experience. This was a whole day process and with clear discussion with expert colour team providing tips, suggestion and support which made us the whole process very easy.
In short I will recommend anyone to have their home build from Carlisle and make the house look great with having Carlisle Colour Selection process.
The worst builder ever.
Carlisle Homes are in my opinion the worst builder’s ever.
I have had problems with them from the time I handed over my last payment, and I am now paying dearly for their bad workmanship.
Don’t be fooled by their brochures, display homes and packages.
I have noticed most of these ratings are during the build, not after the money and payments have been finalised.
I have had leaking pipes in my front yard,
the slab not laid properly, toilets leaking due to pipes not being of acceptable quality, render not up to standard, and today a huge billl t...
Would NEVER build with them again!!!
First Home Owner - Sadly very disappointed with my experience being a first home owner, considering how highly rated they are. Had terrible communication and support from my site supervisor always ignoring my calls for over 2 weeks when things weren't working in the home. Raised concerns for repairs that needed to be done that caused safety hazards and was forced to settle or they would charge me extra weekly. It has been 1.5 years since settlement (got my keys) and still have 6-7 outstanding items that no one has followed up about. Had to take...so much leave from work for outstanding items to be fixed/repaired after settlement that I almost got fired. Unfortunately, they are just a big company wanting to take your hard earned saving to give you a unfinished cheap home. Please don't build with them, I would hate for anyone to go through the same experience I went through.
Post sale service
Carlisle's post sale service is absolutely crap. They are one of the most expensive builders in the market, we spent more money with them so that we get peace of mind, after couple of years you will start having so many problems and Carlisle wont take any responsibility for their tasks. My bathroom exhauster fell from the ceiling (luckily no one got hurt) and hot water is not working, [name removed] from Carlisle advise they are not responsible for this. I would recommend to go with cheaper builder and down the track if you have any issue fix them with your own money instead of spending a lot of money with Carlisle. I had many issues before and fixed them with my own cost, this is the first time asked for assistance and Carlisle denied.
Lack of experience in refrigerated air conditioning
Carlisle has got no experience on refrigerated Air conditioning system. They charge me as double as their own quotation. They hand over the house with no installed appliances. You have to manage the installation with their suppliers directly. Their contractor (Dual heating) started to install and commission the Actron system from 14/12/2020 and could not do it yet after 3 weeks. Dual heating blames Actron (the manufacturere) and Actron blames Dual heating and electricians. We asked Carlisle to take the lead and accept their responsibility to ha...nd over a complete house with all well operated systems to us, but no clear response yet. I asked them to provide us at least a temporary cooling system in this scorching hot season and here is their reply: "Again, we understand your frustrations with the issues that you are experiencing with your Actron unit, however please note that this is out of Carlisle Homes control as we do not manufacture the unit. It is unfortunate that the unit has issues, however as previously explained when there is an issue with the unit itself Actron (the manufacturer) need to be the ones to attend and complete a service call. If you feel you need to take your matter further then you are welcome to contact the Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria". As far as I am concerned all other builders, install and commission all appliances before hand over.
Now that we have finished building with Carlisle Homes I can now honestly write this review based on my entire experience. Not straight after the color selection when we were encouraged to complete a positive review with a $100 eftpos card as a reward. Color selection was perfect. From the start through to the end product Im not satisfied with a lot of things. From reverse building where plasterboards were hung before the actual building is water tight to having to put up with squeaky floor and stairs. The overall workmanship is below avera...ge. Nails are going everywhere but not where it meant to be. Even paces where it meant to be nailed were entirely neglected. Instead of using two nails they just used one nail just to save cost. If I were to build again I wont use Carlisle Homes and neither recommend it to anyone else.
Very helpful, efficient and professional
Everyone at Carlisle has been helpful and friendly. Any questions or requests have been handled quickly and easily and all aspects including costs have been as advertised/estimated. Despite not being able to meet in person due to the pandemic, communication has been excellent and extra care has been taken to compensate for this. Construction has been very efficient and the work appears to be of good quality.
Awesome experience with Carlisle homes
I had built a double-storey and even during COVID it was completed well ahead of time. Weekly updates were provided by the building supervisor and a very responsive and helpful Client Liaison Executive. Really impressed with the build too and I just got the handover. The experience has been amazing.
This is our second build with Carlisle. What brought us back to Carlisle was their warranty service and the quality of the build.
Our build has been stress free. Our site supervisor was amazing. He was a good communicator, approachable and very easy to work with. He went beyond and above to give us the best customer service and a quality build.
One negative point of the building process was the documentation stage. (Before start of the build). We felt that the documentation handling was very poor. We had to correct the same mistake over and ov...
Excellent service from the sales and Client Liaison Executive team
Since the first step into the Display home, the sales team provided an excellent service, they provided suggestions to me for the contents of the house (e.g. use other alternatives instead of others to meet the budget I have). If I have any questions about the costs or related to the items, the sales lady and sales assistant replied me quickly and explained in detail. After sales stage finished, and then Client Liaison Executive (CLE) also provided excellent service, she replied my email/enquiry quickly and explained the questions to me in deta...il. The cost of building meets my budget. House is still in construction stage, so I cannot comment the workmanship as it is not finished yet. Hopefully it has good quality. The speed of the construction is efficient.
During our journey with Carlisle we met some wonderfull people starting from choosing the package that suit our budget to the colour selection with a professional staff who gave us an advice for every single thing that we might miss . Finally with the building process which was quiet smooth despite the pandamic time that we all had and everythi g done on time . So happy with the experience with Carlisle.
Firstly, I was very impressed with the customer service, always very helpful and honest, told me areas where I could save money and also gave me great advice in making choices based on my budget.
House was to a great standard, no major issues. Had some minor issues such as paint some doors being chipped and some areas that needed gap filler, but the site supervisor immediately dealt with the issues without any comlpaint and rectified them. Building contract was honoured fully according to the agreed price.
Hi built my home with Carlisle and I am really happy with their highly professional customer service and most importantly the build quality of the house. I have been living in my new home for the past 3 months and so far nothing to complain at all. If I build again it will be definitely with Carlisle. A big thank for the Carlisle team.
Great Experience - Highly Recommend.
Being a First home buyer, I had some pre conceived notions has I had heard that builders can be very dominating and not at all helpful once you are signed up. Now that I have been through the journey of building my home with Carlisle, I have to say that the My journey has been a enjoyable process and a smooth ride. First I finalised on the floor plan I was keen on and the builder that ticked most of my requirements. With my Budget I was drawn to Easyliving range and EDGEWOOD 23 floorplan. Then apart from the range they offer and the colour sel...ection, I have to say that my interaction with their Sales Consultant - [name removed], in the initial stages definitely sealed the deal for me in terms of deciding to sign contract with them. [name removed] made me feel very comfortable and he never made me feel rushed, he was always available and when not he would always come back to me via email. He was very detailed in the information he would provide me and never brushed off any of my queries. We had a lot of back and forth via emails. Once I decided to go ahead with Carlisle I have to say that at each stage of the build, I was met with one of their capable team members, and each one of them did their job with great sincerity and guided me and managed all the communication very well. From the color selection meeting managed by [name removed] to the Client Liaison Executive - [name removed] who kept me informed and up to date with all the paperwork, variations and finally the Site supervisor - [name removed] who updated me on the progress of the house till our settlement. I could not have asked for a better team and with the amount of information you have to be aware of and relay on yourself to make sure you don't miss on something, I have to say final result has been as expected along with a great experience. No major hiccups and neither was I made to feel ripped off at the end of the whole journey. So thank you Carlisle Team for making the journey a little less stress free for someone who had not much knowledge when starting off, though now has learned a lot through your care and has a beautiful home to move into.
Stay Away; not sure how they get 4.7 stars
One of the worst experiences building a dream home (Astoria Grand) on the west side of Melbourne spending tons of money with the builder who is no different from any other ordinary builder. Have been struggling with so many defects even after 2 years post handing over. Firstly the build had so many issues and their build team was there for more than six months fixing defects everywhere. Another nightmare is their warranty team who always start with a NO without understanding the problem; Firstly they never acknowledge the issues and would give ...all the possible excuses to avoid the work. We did not write any review for this long with the hope they would fix the issues. No longer have the patience to follow up with the warranty team whose staff needs some sort of customer handling training. Escalated the issues to the highest possible people in Carlisle with no results. Would give them 0.5 stars if possible. PM me in case someone wants to know about the build defects, ongoing issues and bad experience that we continue to face at the hand of the Carlisle customer service and warranty teams
Awesome builder! highly recommended.
Had our Sacramento completed by Carlisle recently within 3 months. We would highly appreciate Carlisle’s work, systematic updates at each and every stage. [name removed], one of the best site supervisor we had and [name removed] from HQ really has made all this possible with smooth communication and guidance. THANKS GUYS.
What an experience!
It has been less than 3 months since my home started building and it’s ready to move in!
I defiantly recommend Carlisle homes as a builder for your new home if you are looking for good quality, a fast building process, consistent updates on progress, customer service that explains all your random questions and a smooth experience.
Amazing Built and Seamless Support
We have built our investment home with Carlisle Easy Living. The process was very smooth from the initial display visit to hand over. The price was very completive with lots of upgrades. The sales consultant [name removed] was very open and transparent during tender stage. The price was fixed and there is no additional cost even though Carlisle has to add additional items ( bored piers/retaining walls) during the built.
Our CLE [name removed] was very supportive and promptly responded to all queries and changes requested post contract. We had ...
Questions & Answers
It has been 6 months since we moved into our house and we still have outstanding issues from the water leak we had in our kitchen. Since the beginning of the year, Carlisle Homes had forgotten about their responsibility to check progress on these issues. We were out of kitchen for over 3 weeks from Nov-Dec 2020 and they didn’t reimbursed the whole meal allowance that was promised. Now the Construction Manager and his Manager is denying the conversation we had about it. Also not getting any updates on what they will do next and when they are planning to fix all other outstanding issues. Can someone please direct me on how to deal with these liars? Is there anyone here with the same experience as we did? Thanks
Thank you for your question.
As you are aware our construction team have been working closely with you to get all items addressed at your home. The outstanding items have been organised for this week which you have been made aware of.
In regards to your Kitchen and food allowance items, an amount per day was provided to you by our construction management team which has been reimbursed to your nominated account.
If you have any further concerns please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
Hi Carlisle Team
Is it possible to to Rear Flip the Rothwell 29 ?
Hi Shahed K,
Thank you for reaching out to us and for your question.
Unfortunately we are not able to flip the rear only of the Rothwell 29 as the rooms wouldn't be align.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us again.
What happens when you pay the $2000 deposit and then Carlisle decide they cannot build upon that block of land? If they’re pulling out of the contract surely it’s illegal to keep the $2000.
