Shocking
Now that we have finished building with Carlisle Homes I can now honestly write this review based on my entire experience. Not straight after the color selection when we were encouraged to complete a positive review with a $100 eftpos card as a reward. Color selection was perfect. From the start through to the end product Im not satisfied with a lot of things. ge. Nails are going everywhere but not where it meant to be. Even paces where it meant to be nailed were entirely neglected. Instead of using two nails they just used one nail just to save cost. If I were to build again I wont use Carlisle Homes and neither recommend it to anyone else.1 comment

First Home Building Experience with Carlisle Homes
We started our process with Carlisle after visiting a few other reputed builders. The reason for the move was the floor plan & facades and the reasonable base price. hardship (delayed the building process, unnecessarily paying the EMI for titled land). When I complained about the delaying the process, there was no response from CLE. Instead of accepting the mistake and rectifying it, they started playing the blame game with each other (and I suffered for someone's mistake). I thought I would give a 2 stars rating. However, the way my current CLE is responding, I increased my rating to 3 stars. I hope I can update my review after construction. Rating Breakup (explanation is given below): 1) Sales stage: 0 stars 2) Colours appointment (online spectra via MS Teams & mobile call): 4 stars Our colour consultant did a great job to help us find the right combination. Also, there was no push for an upgrade for any items (which I was suspecting) 3) Tender Appointment (mobile call): 3 stars The appointment went well with the consultant. However, we were surprised due to the cost associated with many unknown items. Most of the items were related to site cost (which happened because of our sales consultant mis-commitment).1 comment

“Easy Living”
My partner and I are building out first home with Carlisle Homes - Easy living. Personally I would never do it again. I wish we were told before paying the deposit that we had to pick from colour schemes and that there is not much choice, we have basically upgraded everything and probably could of built with T-Range in the end. other 6-7 months (again I wish we were told prior to paying our deposit that the process is so quick and rushed). On top of that the colour selection email that is sent is absolute rubbish, the colours look nothing like they do in person, you cannot spot any differences between the stone because the pictures are not clear at all and not all options are sent to you. Our “colour appointment” was rushed, we also dealt with someone who made several mistakes and did not know the colour boards correctly. We also left our appointment and had to return because we realised a lot of things were missed. Our draft contract then came back with a list of mistakes. As first home buyers the process so far has been overwhelming as I would imagine. But we haven’t been able to feel confident or overly excited. Our “sales support/colour appointment person” has been so incompetent and rude it has made us want to pull the plug on the whole process several times. Our sales consultant to begin with that helped us with the quote was amazing! I just feel like we weren’t told a lot of information and were sucked in very easy as this is our first time ever building a home. “Easy living” hasn’t felt so “easy” as of yet.Similar opinion? My partner and I are first home buyers so the whole process was new and exciting for us. We are building the Macquarie 22.
The sales process was extremely good. Our Sales consultant was eager to help and walked us through each step of the process. We even asked some dumb questions and he was extremely accomodating and answered them all. Sales I would give 10/10.

There was a number of mistakes made where the Sales support assumed we wanted something but didn’t ask us. That was frustrating. After 3 electrical plans and quote revisions we finally had a contract we were happy to sign. Then during our signing we spoke at length about our experience. She was apologetic and stated she was new to the roles. If she told us that she was new we would of been a lot more forgiving and patient. We can confidently say we weren’t her favourite by the end of it. Overall, we have designed and set up a house we love and are excited to begin building. Even with our difficulties Carlise did eventually resolve our issues and turned it into a positive one Tip: if you’re new just tell set that expectation at the beginning of the the consult so we aren’t to hard.1 comment

Overall the experience so far with the sales team have been neutral, they are responsive to your emails and calls. With the COVID-19 stage restrictions and government grants on offer, make sure they understand your situation and needs, you will be pressured to sign things quickly and they'll whisper sweet promises in your ear to get you over the line.

Pre construction - Check your drawings 100 times before signing!!!
Things were going well until contract signing. Although a detailed list of mistakes in the drawings was prepared, they have been ignored in the 1st, 2nd & 3rd developer approvals. I had to give-up last time as I lost more than 3 months. When I requested for the last DA, a document with an olds date stamp was provided. No proper DA docs has been provided yet. (If the first DA application has been submitted after correcting the mistakes which I have pointed out, I would not have been caught in the additional 30 day delay)

Experience with Carlisle
Good experience till Now. [name removed] from Sales is very helpful. Good standard inclusion with good building plans. Spectra has many options. Only thing is concerned, you can not change much in structures, if you want to change according to your need. If you change, then price is too high. Then you forget about to change anything.

Went well till Handover
Everything went well in color selectin, construction stage and handover stage. Small hiccups but no complaint I was very happy with quality and timeframe that's been done. Our Spectra appointment
We were very excited to choose everything for our new home at our Spectra Appointment! I would perhaps suggest breaking up the appointment into two separate appointments - Electrical and Colours, as it went from 8:30am to 4:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break. We have built many times so we were very prepared for the appointment, but for first timers, it will be a stretch. I would also suggest that your price points be calculated while looking at the product during the appointment. Even though you can make changes later, you don’t have an image of what you may want to change it to. Aside from that, it was fun for us to finally visualise what we wanted in the house. Very exciting day however and [name removed] was really lovely to work with.

Very poor finishing
Dear Community,
I want to share my Experience with you all. We build with Carlisle home and we will never think again to building with them again. We paid full payment on inspection day and Carlisle home supervisor advised us we will fix all the things which we discussed on inspection day within a week time if we can pay them in full today. Me and my wife thought they will fixed everything as per Promise.
Now over two months I am chasing Carlisle home from more than two months Sending them emails and messages but no response.
Paint work still not done yet.

We will have someone after three months to fix whatever issue we will face in three months. But on inspection day we have been told your current issues and all current things will be done within a week as per Carlisle home documents given to us. Our master bedroom lock done after two months at least after calling and sending email for two months and paint work still not done yet i called numerous time and send text about update but not getting any response which supposed to be done within a week time. Pillers paint is different we requested different color. We requested two different color and paid for two different color but only one color on outside pillars. Range hood corner have dents we informed but still not heard anything Please do not do with your customer like this we request many times and called numbers of time before we put this reviews because we respect everyone business but in return we want Carlisle home should do whatever promised to client. Colour selection were great.Our consultants were very friendly and they were helpful through out the day.Preference and selections widely vary between individual. The consultants understood our requirements and guided with suggestions such as upgrades and selections during the entire process.

Enjoying my new home

First home with Carlisle
The sales staff were friendly and approachable and thorough about their research/site costs of land we had chosen to build on. They took our budget into consideration during the sales process. Albeit the sales stage felt rushed and mistakes were made with selections which needed clarity further down the track.

h Easy Living that site costs were fixed at the time of our build, however it is a shame that there is no option with Carlise to customise floorplans. Defects picked up on private inspections some of which were not dealt with during building process. It's not clear to us if these defects would have been picked up if we did not have a private inspector. We were very pleased at the start of the building process with the 'Carlise Connect' tool which was available to track the stages. However rather disappointed towards the end when none of the stages were updated and kept in the dark about what was happening. At PCI we were encouraged to move in 7 days prior to having our appliances fitted (heating, cooling, gas, hot water etc). When we later challenged this we were told that this was standard practise and there was nothing that could be done about it. However on escalating to management who were very amenable we able to deal with this issue promptly without stress.1 comment

Had a good experience with our colour consultant [name removed] she was really helpful in helping us pick our colours as we had no idea what we were doing. (hard to know if your selection is worth the money when you don't know how much it costs) and then make amendments after that. about to sign contracts next week and cant wait for the build to be completed UPDATE: Really unhappy with our experience so far and the build hasn't even started yet. So many errors with all documents, couldn't even get my name on the contract correct, which Carlisle refused to rectify, even though we told them before we signed it, which is now causing delays with our bank. They have taken upgrades off our contract at the last minute without telling us and are saying we need to pay a fee to get it back. Seems no one is on our side or looking out for us as the customer. We are putting a lot of money into this build and we are not at all confident in what the end product will look like if this is the service we are receiving so far. Really unhappy and would never build with Carlisle again. If we hadn't signed contracts already, we wouldn't be going ahead with the build. UPDATE: Carlisle have come to the table with a free of charge resolution to the contract items that were removed without our knowledge. This is something we welcomed and are thankful. This also allowed us to make some further changes to our build which we had overlooked at the earlier stages, so that was a bonus. The incorrect name on the contract was resolved and our bank applications are progressing as planned. We still cannot be certain about how the rest of the process will go, but the recent actions from Carlisle are encouraging.1 comment

This is our first ever build (Piermont 27) the build process was just average; in the end we are happy we have our home! lding defects and have them rectified by the builder before you finalise the handover, We believe defects should have minimised as much as possible before PCI as it doesn’t give good impression when you see paint overruns, imperfections, tile glue residue etc which are the signs of sloppy workmanship. This also tells me that there was no pride in the work done by the tradies who did and oversaw the work, May be this is how things done in this industry but it definitely doesn’t give a good impression when you lost your counts of defects, I believe you expect only few minor defects which is okay but when you find way too many defects whether its major or minors you don’t feel satisfied. Our handover and settlement process was not as smooth and exciting as we expected. A few defects identified at PCI were not fixed by settlement day but they were kept pushing us to settle, A day after we getting keys we were told that we cannot move today due to gas leak from hot water system. At last minute we had to made lots of changes/arrangements in the peak of the winter with 4 months old baby. I was asked that If I want to build my garage on the zero lot line I will need to pay for pegs relocation charges which I agreed and later I found my garage was not built on zero lot line but I have been charged for pegs relocation when I asked I was told we cannot build garage on zero lot line (Despite sending them a photo proofs where Carlisle have built a garage on zero lot line for one of my neighbour at the same time) Even my next door neighbour's builder has built his garage on zero lot line but not mine. Another hiccup was refund of recycle water connection fee I was told there is recycle water requirement in our area and I have been charged, At PCI I found No recycle water tap and then I was told It was not required hence I wasn’t charged for it, After a month when I was going through the documents I found I have been charged for it which was refunded later. So - we got the keys to our new Carlisle home in October but have moved in just recently due to work commitment and unforeseen family events.
While building process was really "smooth sailing", after moving in we noted a range of issues and we are hopeful that this will be adequately addressed during and after the warranty appointment that is already booked. Can't wait for the build to start
We've had a fantastic experience so far. Our sales consultant went above and beyond what we expected. We went through quite a few different blocks of land due to suitability and she assisted us with every one and responded to all our emails and questions promptly.
Can't fault our browse or colour selection appointment either, we received some sound advice. When we couldn't find a suitable colour they assisted by providing some options that would suit our colour theme, and didn't upgrade or push. The ladies were easy to talk too and get along w...Read more

Overall our experience building our new house with Carlisle was generally positive. However, there were a few too many issues after construction was completed.

Good Customer Service, nice showroom
Building Construction has not yet start. I am rating for the customer service only. Carlisle Customer Service is very helpful and clear explanation throughout my first and second color selection. The showroom is very nice and clean. The same as other builder, some inclusion was advised before will be as the display house but in fact it was not as the showroom. However, their standard inclusion is not too bad.

We built in the Easy Living range and paid 2k deposit for the build. The land deposit will depend on your developer.

we bought our house which was 8 months old built by Carlisle homes. After 1 year, cracks start to emerge. Carlisle homes fixed few cracks initially. After few months, new cracks start to merge and today its nearly after 1.5 years those cracks are getting bigger and worse. They give 7 year structural warranty so the inspector took 1 year to take level samples on every corner of the house and asked me to do concrete around the house ( which is ended up doing it ) and gave me list of things to be done outside the house to stop the movement. It looks like the inspector does not want to do fix the cracks and is making issues on the landscaping and other things and refuse to fix the cracks until the issues are not fixed by me. I have already spend $11,000 fixing the issues that they ask me. But still not he refuse to do the job.
