Cash Converters (page 2 of 2)
Physical Shop, Online Shop, Short Term LoansPostage excessive , jewelery not cleaned as promised
Jewelery , if you know ure stuff is ok .But ! They say all their items are professionally cleaned and pollished . Not so ! I bought a ring recently that was what looked liked been used in making dough took ages of soaking and scrubbing plus the stone was very worn down and had chunks missing from girdle they should disclose the state of the stone as its a solitair . Gemstone pendant also filthy ! Etc then ! U have the postage which they must make a monza on , charging 12 bucks cost them 7 and takes 10 days for delivery ! Why not overnite sa...
Read moretchel for 5 bucks from any air freight company ? Corporate rate ? And when u question them they say its the weight of item ,or some other exuse untill it's um ah ooo erh Oh come on ! 2 grams ave? Uh ! just be aware what u see on line is not what it seems . Ring them and ask questions , I have found them all to be extremely helpfull and pleasant to deal with so far so don't be shy ! Do your home work first before purchasing anything good luck !!They offer you nickels and dimes for expensive goods
Have sold a few things to them over the years and they offer you almost nothing, even for goods that are quite expensive. Try and sell everything you can via gumtree or eBay before you even consider selling to them, as you'll get almost nothing. Also saw some bikes outside stones corner shop, and they were asking over $1000 for a crappy bike that had dust and rust on it! They probably paid the person 50 bucks for it. What a scam.
Beware when getting a loan
I got a small cash loan from cash converters and payments were direct debited from my bank account. Payments were supposed to stop over two weeks ago but they are still taking money from my account. Rang them today (Thursday) was told the money most likely won't go back into my account until next week. Not good enough Cash Converters. Fair trading will be hearing about this. How many other people do they do this to?

I cant believe the non customer service so poor.
Purchased Gold and Diamond Jewellery. Was told could get ring resized when Jeweller back from holidays next week. The diamond ring was faulty took it back, told Jeweller not back maybe next week. Left ring 25 days later no call back from Cash Converters rang, left message for management, told Jewellery sale staff not in. No phone call. 5 calls, and rude staff later. still no ring then told 3 months before Jeweller back from holidays.. Told I could get money back. Don't bother the sales staff are liars, and management are uneducated and have ...
Read moreno idea about cashed up customers, and treat everyone one like we need them. When you have a customer who has been buying from Cash converters online and in store weekly for the last year, and they don't recognize good customers, then they don't deserve your business.DF1Elizabeth, South Australia
Complaints Department are helpful.
They took out our loan on the wrong Day then gave us a dishonour fee. But when contacted the complaints they were very understanding and helpful.
No knowledge of jewellery
They refused items that I then got $700 for on a loan at an second hand estate jewellers. They need to have more knowledge about items value.

mixed review depends on what you want to do with them
managed to find some bargains but rarely happens, and i actually made small profit buy flipping it, never sell your stuff to them tho, they'll offer you sh*t all, staff are pretty friendly at the stores i've been, but they have no knowledge on the items they're selling, at one point they're selling fake gears, i've been trying to convinve them the gears are fake, and they just tell me it's confirmed by some random person that the item they have is real. Also, i almost bought a stolen gear once, lucky i shared the item around on a facebook community, and the bloke who lost the item recognised the sticker on the item.

Amazing deals just bad when selling
where to begin
when making a In store purchase you can strike a decent deal but when you sell to them they really rip you off big time
if you can haggle the in store prices good but in terms of "pawning " they won't budge much
you could sell them a new phone and they'd really rip you off
Update;
I've had great experiences buying from them within the past few years
but I've found some stores to be dishonest
I've been sold a laptop that was " parts only " but never told that or wasn't mentioned on the receipt so had to spend more money to get it to a usable condition
...
Unable to work with it
I recently had bought a secondhand laptop due to not having the money for a new one but needing a laptop because I have a lot of studying to do.. But because my laptop is over 10 years? Old I can't do the things I need with it unless I pay over $300 - $400 / updating so I can put word on it and also I have to pay to get words, so I'm kinda stuck and with studying I like to copy and paste important tips from my study..

Broken Product
Cash Converters is good for getting stuff from people and sale them for cheaper price. I've never had a contract with them, so I can't tell how good they're when you give your stuff to them.
But here are the thing I experienced in the past:
Buying electronics from Cash Converters always broke/nearly broke
My friend brought a phone and battery life sucked
I'm a huge gamer, so my friend brought an Xbox 360 as I told her and the controller she brought doesn't click and feels broken
Maybe they should check before put in the shelves?

Cash Converters -Webshop and Walk In Store
First up the walk in stores,I find the staff weirdos in the extreme and that's from most of them, where the hell do they get these people from, take Logan Cash Converters ,the staff change month by month, that must be a great environment for workers to be in,most are rude robots, occasionaly you get the good one,but then low and behold their gone. What a turn off,I would rather save my money then buy off this mob.Stones Corner is just as bad with their inflated prices on goods. The Mt.Gravatte store, cheap items but some rude staff.Better off buying ...
Read more at Jbhifi when they have sales on,Trust me it's worth it.I have only dealt with 3 stores so I am not sure of other stores around the country. Webshop..I find this excellent service in buying goods but be very aware some rip you off with postage costs. Also some send damaged goods without telling you beforehand.Such as Blurays with inserts as looked as though a truck ran over them, and scratch discs (bin diving much)I avoid 2 Webshop places for this very reason,Most blurays are extremely overpriced and to add postage costs makes it not worth while at all,JbHifi have the same discs now and in the future, cheaper when they have sales on and only 99 cents postage for each item. All you have to do is wait and have patience for sales, that's what I do from now on.That's my 2 cents worth!1 comment

Cash Converters webshop review
I have found that some of the items are actually ok, you just need to research your prices properly and clearly understand the photo taken, especially jewelry. But, I have purchased items that after three weeks have been mysteriously not sent and my money refunded. It's a bit hit and miss.
Conveniant, good shipping, good packaging, some items worth getting
Photos can be blurry, missing products, some delays from some stores

Used The Online Shop Once Never Again
My first and last experience with the online auction shop was last year. I requested my account to be deleted after I received my refund several weeks later and have never used them since. I purchased a DVD for a fantastic price for such a new release (should have realised if its too good to be true....) only to have to chase it 2 weeks later as it did not arrive. I was sent the despatch notice 2 days after I bought it. My address was correct and current. After 3 emails over 3 weeks I finally got a reply. They would refer my enquiry to the stor...
Read moree that sold me the DVD. Fair enough that makes sense. The next day I received a reply from a lady at the store that had put the DVD on the online store for sale apologising for not responding to my previous enquiry as she was on holiday. That is an important detail - for SALE. Not an auction. They claimed the DVD as sold and despatched 8 months earlier to a person who purchased it in March! They could not explain why I was still able to bid on it in October. I did not bid on it I bought it. The DVD was buy it now there was no auction option available for it. Plus I bought it in November. It was all right there under "my orders" in "my account". The only one there in fact, you couldnt get it wrong. The lady who emailed from the store also said she did not even know if the DVD was still in the store when I bid on it. If her first statement of we sold and sent it to someone else back in March was true then that was a very strange statement to make! A further enquiry about the delivery system revealed the despatch notices are printed by the store that is sending the item which of course makes perfect sense. What doesnt make perfect sense is how did they manage to print my despatch notice in November and post the item 2 days after I bought it and then say I bid on it and won it in October after of course selling it in March. Sounds like a load of hogwash to me. Yes they had the correct item and were not confusing it with someone or something else, they named the DVD title twice in the response. I eventually got my refund - several weeks later after she told me a string of lies - she was doing it "right this minute" "right after my lunch break" "first thing in the morning" "this afternoon after staff return from their lunch breaks" "when we open on Monday" "processing it momentarily". I would never consider using the online service again. I know it was only one purchase and not an expensive one at that ($12 for the DVD plus $4 postage) but can I really trust their system with glitches like that? Especially when it has your credit card number stored in the same system!barby117AU
poor service/items
The Cash Converters at Robina was a mess. No one to help and pricing wasn't as negoatiable as I thought it would be once I got someones attention. Place was dusty and items seemed to come out from garage sales. A store needs to be professional no matter what they serve.
not much at all
poor service and overpriced items
