The catch prepaid 18gb plan service is terrible.

Worst customer service

Porting my number took more than 36 hours without any communications of the issue until I contacted them. They said it might take another 1-2 business days which left me without a working phone connection. They offered a measly additional 2GB data for the inconvenience and refused to give me a partial refund. The customer service keeps asking me if I have any other queries when we haven't even resolved the first issue. They shut down the chat ONE MINUTE after they finally offered to reimburse me to get a coles SIM while they resolve the issue. Mind you I haven't answered the offer because it was sent ONE MINUTE ago.

Lying thieves

Catch are liars and thieves and need to get in contact with me about a phone plan I purchased with them. Was $120 for 60 go and bonus 60gb. They took 2 weeks to send it and the 60gb had expired before I even got the sim. Contacted them 3 times in a week, no reply. Still haven’t got the sim. Don’t touch their phone plans.

Great service, easy and simple to use:)

-Great deal with 18GB per month for $15
-The SIM card arrived within a week after I ordered it
-The activation process was easy to complete through the app
-They verify your email + send you a confirmation text for privacy reasons
- I kept my previous mobile number and it transferred within minutes
-The whole process took no longer than 5 minutes

Charged for data not used

I was initially happy to connect with Catch for the good budget mobile plans but soon after connecting, My data kept disappearing. I installed a data meter on my phone since it was my word vs Catch and they had no intention of making up my missing data. The app meter on my phone read 3gb while catch were charing me for 9gb. THis happened several times but evertime i called Catch, they pretty much said tough luck!!! they claim their system is perfect, therefore the customer is wrong! Buyer Beware Show details

Getting what you pay for

Yeah it may be cheap but definitely not worth it, first they terminate my number that I’ve had for years that I customised myself, which was also connected to everything I sign into but refused to help or at least try. Was told they’d send out an email to update me on the situation and they never did no matter how many times I re called them or even with the emails I sent. Kept saying I had to sort it out with Optus and Optus passed me back to them constant back and forth definitely not worth it, not helpful whatsoever, customer service then proceeded to tell me that I never had a number with them and neither the number that I was calling them on existed which was also a catch number. Show details

Useless Customer Service

Wouldn't let me refund my account before the SIM was sent out. Wouldn't answer my questions concerning my refund and customer service didn't care about my needs, even when others online were able to get a refund too. Double standards. Stay away. Show details

It's really good, no issues so far

I was scared by negative feedback (checked feedback after ordered 3 SIMs:-)).
My experience is positive so far.
SIMs arrived in 5 days (could be faster to be honest).
I had some issues porting numbers from CMobile, but it was discrepancy with name in the account details. Everything was resolved by CMobile Support. No issues with porting number from Southern Phones.
Coverage is fine (Optus network).

Very bad to activate sim

To verify my mobile number catch give 3 pin code , but none works, after another request pin code send, still not work, then activation process is locked. Have to wait 1 day. And , it happen again, so another day is locked Show details

Haven't started to use, because I simply can't

I can't activate my sim because not receive their OTPs when I tried to transfer my number from another service provider. Tried many times didn't work, but texted my number using other numbers it's fine. Then I turned to the customer service, they suggest to try another device. How funny! Then 3 minutes later I received several OTPs after my account was locked since tried many times. And they couldn't do anything just ask me to wait for 24 hours.

Worst service ever!!

No warning of disconnection at all. Refused to retrieve my number. [Name Removed] had the hide to ask me to do a survey for her at the end of the call. Do yourself a favour, don't choose catch. Show details

unprofessional and unhelpful

They disconnected my prepaid number without any prior notice and not helping my porting my number to other operator, reason provided for the termination is non recharging my account for 90 days, when I asked I did not recharge a prepaid service but not a defaulter of your service so please help me porting my number of resuming it with you, they flatly refused it. Show details

Very disappointed with catch connect I had problems with sending msgs and reserving calls for six months I called them to many times they did nothing and they told me it’s not their faulty I do not recommend prepaid mobile service . Show details

Gone downhill

First year was great, good phone service, and internet service, no issues.
A few months into starting the new years plan, a huge chunk of data had been used. The same amount I used for the ENTIRE YEAR the year before. Lodged a complaint but all they said was that I used this data which was impossible and that they would not escalate my issue.

Worst customer service

I had ordered for sim card, which i received within 3-4 days.
I activated the sim card through their website and received confirmation email that the service has been activated. Inserted the card in my mobile and restarted the mobile but was unable to receive network. I was not able to do or receive calls.
I contacted the customer service through chat, they were rude and disconnected the chat as they could not resolve my query.
They were asking for verification id’s and some numbers on the id card which were not available. For sure they didn’t know what they were talking about. Please avoid dealing with [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] from catch connect.

Got screwed by inept Catch

Whilst trying to port out there was a discrepancy in user detail.
I offered all security measures to fix. They refused point blank. Lost my phone number.
They couldn't care less.
Customer service is atrocious. They pretended that the supervisor was busy. They pretended they couldn't help me out when i know they could.
4g is poor in many areas.

Avoid at all costs.

No timely warnings on data use. Eat through your data and get notified after your cap

Had a device download a bunch of data unexpectedly and quickly.
Catch send out a number of reminders at the 50%/85% mark etc, except they are useless. They are days late. I went through my yearly allotment (60GB) in a matter of hours. The service stopped working. The next day I got some emails saying that I was approaching my limit.
The networks team escalation reviewed that I had said I used the data, which I'm not disputing, but their notification system was late and useless. They didnt seem to understand their part in a having a notification system that actually notifies users in a timely manner so they can do something about the problem.
Wont use them again. Show details

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!

Appalling customer service and product. System kept rejecting my card as it "wasn't an Australian card". It is an Australian card as I just used it to sign up with another telco without an issues, Customer service refused to investigate their tech issue and I've been left without being able to use my phone for days. Extended, unacceptable transfer process if you want to keep your old number

Seems like all the reviews are right. Whether the porting process takes days, Whether like me your new sim is faulty from the get go and have to wait days for a replacement just be ready to have no mobile phone communication for a lengthy period. Totally unacceptable in this day and age. Select a provider that can port you in 15mins. Show details

Terrible coverage

I switched to Catch Connect $120 (sale$109) 365days 240G pre-paid sim only in Jan. Since then I was frequently told by family and friends that my phone was not reachable (like switched off) when it was on all the time and not even ringing. I contacted customer service and was told that both my work and home addresses (both in metro area) were undergoing upgrade and would be done by April. It's now September I still often get people telling me that I'm not contactable. People need to use internet such as Messenger or Whatsapp to call me. What kind of upgrade would take 9 months? Goodbye Catch Connect I've waited 9 months and things has not changed. I need to be reachable for my family and work. I will pay more for Telstra network now. Show details

Very poor customer service and phone coverage

Took 10 days to activate my sim card and i had to follow up many times to get things moving
i was with optus before i joined catch mobile and i didnt has any problems with phone coverage however with catch mobile i have drop outs all the time and internet speed connection very poor also my phone Internet drops to 3G when i am in a phone call. I did call the customer service and they couldn’t fix the problem. seems optus is given catch mobile their redundant 3G network to be used by them. Show details

So far so good

I just switched to Catch, 365 day plan with 120gb dat and a bonus 40gb so 160gb total. Migrating my number from Amaysim took under 5 minutes. So far I am happy with the service (I need Optus as it is the only solid carrier in the bush area I go to) Show details

No customer service, No awareness of anything after sale

Took 7 days for a transfer, No connection and no solutions. Have no idea who is with them and who has transferred out. They do not have access to any information and Optus treats them like second grade citizens and they can not offer any solutions Show details

Very ordinary

Network coverage is horrible, compared to Optus.
I can't access data while my wife who is with Optus can.
Thankfully my 1 year ends in a month so I can leave

3 weeks and still waiting for activation

I requested activation on the 26th of June (3 weeks ago). The specified time for activation is 2 days as per their website and app. They also specify a 10 day resolution for complaints or 2 days for "urgent" issues. My issue has been classified for "urgent" for over 2 weeks, what a joke.
As of today (the 17th of July) i still cant make calls and have no service or data. What an absolute joke of a service Catch Connect is. Show details
