Worst removalists ever - do not use
Truck was tiny, poor English skills & took triple time it should have to drop off furniture- no care when I complained either - they knew I was moving a 3 bedroom house, yet they came with a truck to fit a studio apartment
35 minute trip to drop off location took them 90 minutes.
Worst service company I have ever dealt with
Booked for 15th and nobody turned up. I had to call them to find out what was happening on multiple occasions and was First told a previous job had overrun and then later told it was due to the ‘covid situation’… couldn’t even get their story straight.
After 6 or so hours was finally told not coming, not much I could do at 6pm on a Saturday. Was then told they would come between 6 and 9 next day, why they couldn’t go out of their way after inconveniencing somebody and agree an actual time of arrival is beyond me. Absolutely no accountability ...for the poor management of their logistics / drivers / time / quality of service, just a ‘sorry sir there is nothing we can do’… I’m sure there is you just don’t believe this is a big deal and treat your customers like garbage. No respect for my time or my schedule and just expected me to be available the day after! Not only that but they didn’t even show up on the 16th and I had to phone them to see what was happening. Apparently the driver was no longer available so they would look in to getting a different driver for me… thanks for the heads up lads, do you not think it’s your job to arrange that without me phoning you? Absolutely wild. One of the worst companies I have had the displeasure of dealing with. If I could rate them zero stars I would. Avoid at all costs.

Appalling Service - Will Never Use Again
3 Bedroom house, only two people's worth of stuff, 10 minutes between properties if that - and the only things going in the truck were our large furniture and large boxes. Booked the move a week in advance and paid the usual call out fee. On the day of the move, which my family took time off work for - the truck did not arrive at all nor was I notified that they would not be coming to complete the job. Wasted hours upon hours of our day waiting and 20 minutes on hold on the phone, to finally be told there was an apparent medical emergency with ...one of the movers and that nobody would be coming out. I asked how I would be compensated, and the response was that I would be a priority between 6am-9am the following day. They did not turn up until 11am. The movers were slow, did not follow instructions properly and interrogated me about my race and ethnicity. Before the move, I told them I had two TVs and on the day they refused to take my second TV as apparently it could not be accommodated. I have been in a back and forth with their support team about being compensated to an appropriate level for their extreme unprofessionalism, as I spent almost two days in total being messed around including having to leave my job to come home on day 2 - as they had not yet arrived and I had to arrange a backup option as well as hold off my bond cleaner. The most I was offered is a small discount and a voucher. I was charged for a 4 hour job when it was a 3 hour job maximum and they have been avoiding as much liability as possible. I do not recommend this removalist company at all. This is the first bad review I have ever left for a business as normally I like to give people a chance, but their behaviour as a company is unacceptable. Please spend your hard earned money on a company that is worth it and doesn't waste your time. If I could give a 0 star review due to their lack of professionalism and lack of customer service, I would. Do NOT hire CBD movers, as you will most likely come to regret your decision if you do. By the look of the other reviews here, it seems I am not the only person that has fallen victim to their poor work ethic and their lack of accountability. Very disappointing.
Unprofessional, unpunctual and dismissive
Only larger furniture needed moving from a small, 3 bedroom house. Movers called me 30 mins after the time window stating their removalist had suffered a medical emergency and they weren't going to move me on that day. They rescheduled for 4 days later which I stated was unacceptable as I now couldn't live in the house. Renegotiated for 3 days later and stayed at a friend's house. Arrived on time the second date, moved timber storage units by hand and a newish washing machine that was secured with a ratchet tie down to a trolley. The metal tied...down fastener was positioned at the front of the washing machine. No protective barrier was placed underneath the metal fastener which resulted in a large, deep scratch all the way to the metal, to the front of the machine. I immediately informed one of the removalists that they had scratched my washer as soon as it was brought into my new home. He said ‘It must have been like that, I move furniture every day and never damage”. Upon moving the timber storage units into my premises, I observed 2 cabinets with very long, obvious scratches along the edge length as the timber had been gouged. Again the removalists denied having any involvement but confessed that they should have inspected all the goods prior to packing them on the truck but had forgotten to. After calling the support team I was advised that I couldn't make a claim as I had not informed anyone on the day of the move (which was untrue). Also, as it was an Ikea product, in their T&Cs, they do not accept any damage to these products as they are not solid timber. I inferred from this that it is not easy for them to hide damage of veneers rather than timbers that are solid all the way through. I advised that if the movers used packaging underneath their metal fasteners, no damage would be caused in the first place and that T&C would not be required. In their T&Cs they also mention that "minor scratches and dents can occur during the move", this was brought to my attention on multiple interactions with this company. After further complaints to the company I received an email stating: "Job was performed under customer’s supervision and they never dropped or banged anything during the entire move. Therefore, we would not be able to assist you in this matter". I never alleged that anything had been dropped or banged. I asked for their insurance company details and they refused to provide it saying that they know it's a minor incident therefore the company would not process the claim. I told them the insurance company should decide, not an individual at CBD Movers. I was told that in their T&Cs it also states "If we are told about any damage and if the damage is caused due to our negligence, then we will confer with you the options of: Repairing the damage to as close as possible to its condition prior to the damage occurring and these repairs will be arranged by us". My response was to ask for the damage to be fixed so that it was in the same condition prior to my move with the company. CBD movers finally agreed to give me a $50 refund and $50 credit to be used for my next move or for my friends. I advised them that I would never use their company again nor would refer them to anyone. They finally agreed to a $100 settlement on the proviso I retract all existing negative reviews and didn't give any future negative reviews, which I have declined. The worst company to deal with, constantly deflecting and blaming the customer. Disgraceful conduct.
Outstanding service! Absolute pleasure to deal with!
I had booked another company weeks ago, and they turned up 4 hours late, and were so weak, that they refused to lift any items, and left me high and dry, with a house settlement pending very close. I rang 15 removalist companies, all booked out for 5 weeks in advance, when I came across CBD removalists.
I explained the situation and they booked me at 3.30pm, for 4 x men and two trucks for the next morning at 0700.
These guys (Ali & crew) were a blessing. They turned up on time and ready to work. I had very heavy gym equipment removed fr...om a house into a shipping container. Not one item was damaged, and even fixed a drawer of mine that was previously broken. They packed the container to perfection. They worked so well as a team, and were smiling, and nothing was a problem. They were absolutely professional. The customer who gave 1 star for this company, sounds like he had the most horrific day (like I had with another company the day before) , hence, it depends which workers you get. If you ask for Ali and crew, I can assure you they will not dissapoint. Thanks again, and I will he using this company for my next removal, as long as I get Ali & crew back, as you cannot top their service!
Never Use CBD Movers! Appalling service - deserving of less than one star!
I’m do not normally give bad reviews but sometimes, you just have to make it known to others that companies like CBD Movers are just bloody unprofessional for something that they say they are good at.
The moving truck arrived 4 hours late, workers are incompetent, lazy, slow and totally unreliable at what they do. A move that was supposed to take 4 hours maximum took 7 hours. When you make the booking you give them all the info, but when the workers arrive, they have no clue and behave like they are doing us a favor.

Booked a standard job that my wife and I had done most of the preparation for. We advised the company that our dining room table was heavy. They advised two people were sufficient and offered us all the 'sales promises' of due diligence, using bubble wrap and protective measures. They rocked up completely under-prepared. They had no bubble wrap, no lifting gloves and furthermore dropped the corner of our immaculate hardwood table against the ground and then dragged it all along the tailgate of their truck too, in front of several witnesses....Even the blanket fibres and paint from the truck have been embedded in our table, which one of the removalists proceeded to remove with his spit after we pointed it out. They grabbed our top of the line (new) Samsung TV and damaged the TV panel with oily hand prints and finger marks which have been saturated into the screen and are now permanent. They also damaged our gutter on trying to reverse the truck up the driveway (which I had advised them at time of booking). They struggled to drive the truck, wasted time and then called their office. I later received a call from their office begging me to help them, claiming they need 3 or 4 men to complete the job. When I raised our concerns regarding the damages they caused through their negligence and under preparedness, they assured me they would take care of it. I paid them in full upon completion of work, and then they quickly denied everything and blamed it all on us, claiming that the customer was at fault and that we caused these damages and that they were already existing. One of the removalists even started shouting at us in our own home in an intimidating manner, in front of our family. I nearly called the police. This company denies any liability and chooses to hide behind their terms and conditions. They offered a small token payment (<$200) for the damages they caused us, which in fact now number several thousand dollars. This is a classic example of an organisation taking no responsibility and no accountability for their work, instead chooses profits above fair-trade, profits above honesty, profits above quality of service and profits above respectful treatment towards customers. What measures are consumers now forced to take to protect their personal assets from 'shonks'? With the benefit of hindsight, would I have needed to hire a videographer when I originally called them? Would they have agree to be filmed?
3 bedroom apartment. A short distance move. No damage to the items. Very efficient and polite. Highly recommend. I'm happy to use their service again. Professional Movers. Easy to communicate to.
4 Bedroom home. Started and completed job in a timely manner. The team worked really hard and efficiently right through the process. We were very impressed with the service. We will use them again.
I booked a relatively small job to move just 16kms… on discussion with the booking agent I was allocated 2 men and 4.5tonne truck .
Drivers didn’t turn up on the day so I agreed to be a top priority job following morning …still turned up an hour late and ill prepared with just one small trolley for the job . Scratched my floor attempting to move a heavy robe which they had originally claimed actually needed 3-4 men to lift . Later during an investigation by the company the drivers claimed that they had not touched the cupboard and that I myself...
Slow and dropped the washing machine in front of me damaging it , then the crew lied when I made a damage claim

I had to hurry them up and because crew wasn’t strong they asked for my help ,
This was also used to deny my claim.
They dropped the washing machine off the trolly in the street right in front of me then when I made a claim the crew denied they dropped it .
A specialist technician diagnosed a cracked housing to an internal part which caused the machine to leak and said this has clearly been dropped.
**** UPDATE: The service agent gets Kudos for sorting this out hence the rating change. They have paid for the repair

I booked a 8 ton truck with 2 movers mid December for service on 29th of December. On the day of moving, they called in the morning saying their truck had some issues and will be late, but claimed it will be coming for sure. After few hours, they called again and said they cannot do the job that day and can do it after 4 days only. I told them to get me a truck that day because I had already packed everything and had to move out that day. I even told them to get me a smaller truck if 8 ton truck was not available and was willing to pay for 2 tr...ips. But they said it was not available either and my choices were to cancel the job or wait 4 days. These thugs don't have common sense to understand all the trouble we go through when mover don't show up. I had to call lots of other places and finally found a van that did 3 trips to finish the job. I ended up paying lot more money for the job. From other reviews, I can see this was not an isolated case that happened to me. Lot of other people have faced same issue. This company needs to be shut down. Do yourself a big favour and STAY AWAY FROM THESE FRAUDS.
The last three moves they have not turned up. They always blame "truck broke down".
We've used CBD Movers for years and used to be very happy with their prompt friendly service. However lately they have hiked up their prices, they never show up on time, and they seem to care less. We are very disappointed.

CBD Movers (Canberra) rescheduled twice after failing to arrive, never showed up, and no contact whatsoever.
I booked CBD Movers in Canberra to move across town. 2 bedroom apartment, cleaner booked for the day after the move, final inspection the day after. I was also helping 2 other relatives move on the same weekend.
I was told they'd be at my old place between 10am and 2pm on the Saturday. No word by 3pm, I called them only to be told they had been delayed, and could be there at 6pm. 6 came and went, and they still didn't call. I chased ...them again and it turns out the truck had broken down and they weren't coming at all. After try to explain they couldn't guarantee turning up at a specific time the next day (they said 'between 10 and 2' again), they finally assured us they'd be there between 10 and 10:30. They never showed, and we were left to frantically organise the move on the day. My best mate thankfully had a trailer booked as he didn't trust them to show, and it saved the day. We had to throw out our entire fridge and freezer (over $150 to replace everything), as we'd bagged everything expecting to have it moved in a couple of hours. CBD refused to cover the cost.

They did dodgy things during the time of house moving where I can't keep track of what they have done because We were too busy, later when we went back to them they said it was too late because we reported after 1 week and our claims will not be accepted. Yes, I have been ripped off by CBD Movers and they also got me to go with 365 Cleaners, terrible experience with both and I had to eventually book other services who were professional and got the job done. Go elsewhere, even Airtasker but not these shady businesses.
Have you seen the tricks this company uses?
Charging extra for stairs, using a trolley, when they don't tell you that when they tell you how much it will cost when you book.
Work slow and charge more. Carry one box at a time to drag it out.
Sending a small truck so not everything fits so they have to do second load.
Turn up late or not at all and blame it on the truck breaking down.
Making you pay before they will unload.
Claiming to have insurance but if you try and claim you can't or they just say the damage was already there.
Have a read through some of the negative feedback. A lot of people who have been tricked.
Do your own research before booking and decide for yourself.
Funny how all the recent reviews are glowing. All made by ‘verified’ users who all have 1 review and accounts created recently. FAKE just like their website reviews. This company is deceitful to the highest degree.
They employ people who have no experience to save money which ends up costing the customer in damages and wasted time.
They act like the customer comes first but the reality is they just want milk you of all your money knowing you won't be back.
Look at how many negative reviews there are vs positive, that is a red flag.
they wanted to send me a 8 tonne truck for 2 beds 2 wardrobes a office desk 1x tv cabinet and a tv .... somehow i dont think that fills a 8 tonne truck THEN on day of moving they simply did a no show tried to b.s it out they broke down IF there as big as they are - they could of just sent another truck ? ? ? even if it was smaller ...

Not surprised as they spend more time trying to hide how dodgy the company is than they do actually looking after their customers.
Plus they claim all negative reviews are fake when they actually get their employees to post positive reviews.
