Wished I’d got it sooner
Had this product installed professionally and it’s brilliant, from only having one bar of service to now full service, the technician spent ages making sure it was in the perfect location for max results, highly recommended
easy to install & do it yourself system. its not hard just ensure you have separation between all antenna and base modulator. use the app and bluetooth into. works perfectly. pretty much zero bars to 5 on sunshine coast

Needs to be installed correctly
I have read through these reviews and agree with those that state a professional should be engaged to install. As a professional telecommunications technician I can guarantee that these will not perform properly if installed incorrectly. Companies like Powertec are destroying the reputation of this product by selling without offering proper installation support. It seems that all the reviews here have a common denominator, Powertec. As Jason below stated, you need somewhat of an understanding. Unfortunately you won't get that from Powertec.

Thought I had bought a lemon! Stay away from POWERTEC!
I purchased this Product from Powertec about 3 months ago for my home in Dundee NSW and was told that all I needed to do was simply install an antenna on my roof and another on a shelf inside. After doing as I was told I still had bugger all improvement and the calls i made were crackly. I contacted Powertec (absolute turkeys) where I bought the product from and they were of no help at all. very quick to sell my the product but equally as quick to get me off the phone after I had a problem. I started googling and came across some info which rea...lly helped a lot. https://seqconnect.com.au/mobile-signal-boosters I read through this and it was able to get my problem sorted. I even ended up calling these guys who were more than happy to assist. I felt bad because I hadn't even bought the Cel-Fi from them but Brad (or Brett) was very nice and really helped me out. Powertec (Geese) never mentioned anything to me about signal interference, noise ratios or tower overloading which all were terrible and easily identifiable in the settings. Anyway, I hope this helps anybody hear that may have problems like I did. And thank you Brad (or Brett:) for your help. If you are looking to purchase a CelFi read up on this first and use the guys above if you can.

Info from a Professional Installer
The fact of the matter is a lot of people buys these CelFi Units and install them selves. if you don’t understand how RF works Antenna separation ect. You will never get them to work properly, I have installed many of these devices and the customer has always been happy with the result and I as well. So do your self a favour get a qualified installer to take care of the job for you, and if you have had it installed by professional installer and it’s not working satisfactory go back and demand it to be rectified.
Not what I expected!
Heard I lot about the Cel-Fi Go, and turned out to be disappointed. I had issues from the beginning. I bought the unit from my local Telstra shop in Warrnambool, no backup support once I walked out the door. I had it professionally fitted, but unit failed to deliver!
Turns out, because I have an iPhone X it needs to be dumbed down to 3G to work effectively. Leaves you bewildered to think why they have an ‘auto’ setting in the unit? Leaving me to switch from a 4G setting to a 3G setting on my phone when getting in and out of the car. In this day and age, it seems unthinkable to experience backward software, that can’t determine the most appropriate signal.

Works great but NOT when you need it
After 2 years of frustrating and disappointing use I have come to the conclusion that this system works well on a low signal but not at all on a poor signal. My iPhone 10 max can (while at camp on Nth Stradbroke Island) receive 1 bar of 4G or 3G most of the time and the booster will not pick up any workable signal at all. My phone (most of the time) can still receive calls and get BOM weather radar however the Cel-Fi shows no boosted signal at all. If i go to an area where the phone gets a a stronger signal, the booster seems to work and show...s a boosted signal OK however this is not when I require a boosted signal as the phone works OK without the Cel-Fi anyway. I even purchased a Yagi Black Hawk antennae (almost $300.00) and there was no difference / improvement in signal reception. I intend to get the system tested and the installation checked thoroughly in case the system is faulty or there is an installation problem. So far my conclusion is (in my unique experience) that the Cel-Fi only works well when you don't need it.
Purchased in November 2018 at Powertec for $1,100.00.
Travelling in our van and works can fantastic.
So simple and works. Plugged in aeriels, downloaded Wave app to Reno Oppo and S10. Registered device, synced phones, got 5 bars.
Great product, highly recommend to increase signal.
We wifi to Telstra TV box from phones and hasn't missed a beat. Only have the mini aerial atm.

At last my other devices get signal from my phone
Rural, hilly, but not particularly remote Queensland. Had endless trouble with so-called blue-tick phones for the last year (Telstra Max drained while charging, Samsung Galaxy calls break up). Bought my preferred type, an iPhone, though told Samsung is better (not so, the iPhone gets calls properly). BUT it doesn't have the strength to provide signal for my iPad or Mac. Lots of looking around and I end up buying the Telstra Go Stationary Repeater ($816 from Telstra shop). Easy to install, no assistance necessary (it sits on a bench). Registrati...on via the app was simple, if a bit lengthy while it searched for cellular signal. But since all that was done, eleven days ago, everything has worked. No, the signal may not be that strong on my phone (one bar is common here) but it does reach my other machines, which is the most important thing. It doesn't drop out, I can upload photos, and everything works as it should. The weather has been extremely humid all the time I've had it, which is usually the worst condition to get a signal, so if it's working now I presume it will be better in drier weather. Here's hoping there's no trouble down the line, because so far it's doing exactly what I need it to.
Purchased in January 2020 at Telstra Centro Gympie for $816.00.
Average, useful when it works.
Installed Telstra celfi and external aerial probably 1 or 2 years ago. Experienced drop outs straight away after installation. Complained to the distributor within the first week and was told nothing was wrong. Had probably 10 drops outs today alone. Works sometimes. Better than nothing but very frustrating.
Purchased at Fetter comunication for $1,500.00.
Well how about that
I bought a Cel-Fi Telstra fitted to a 2016 Falcon and my phone is a Samsung Note 8.
I had a major project that required a lot of discussion. I was in Toowoomba and was travelling to Caboolture for a function. I departed Toowoomba tracking north through Highfields to Hampton, turned right across the range to Esk turned left and tracked to just north of Toogoolowah then right on the back road around Somerset to Kilcoy then over the hills down to Caboolture.
I held one conversation the entire way and did not drop out once.
Holy snapping duck poop Batperson.....
These things are just bloody brilliant. Sort of like the good old days when you could attach an external antenna to your Nokia but you don't have to plug it in.

We Can Now Use Our Mobiles at Home
We live on a farm in rural WA and never had mobile signal in the house. I rang a rural communications business and the owner came out. He was able to get signal with his antenna so we bought the antennas and Cel-Fis from him. We installed a Blackhawk antenna on the roof of our house, then connected to the Cel-Fi booster and internal antenna. We have had this working for about 4 months and are very happy as we get full signal. A couple of times we have lost signal but that was due to a loose cable connection between the Cel-Fi and the internal a...ntenna. We have also put one in the ute and now get signal in previously black spots. The units aren't cheap but they are legal (cheaper illegal ones cut out signal for everyone else) and we are in Telstra only mobile range. We still have our landline but have had 3 faults in the last year, longest taking 4 weeks to repair. So having mobile now, at least we have communication if landlines not working. Only down side is the ranges aren't very wide, about 30 metres for the house and 10 metres for the ute. So not a replacement for getting signal range straight from the tower but we won't hold our breath for one being put up near us anytime soon.

Great little unit
Okay first of all I would not recommend going out and buying one of these repeater units until you have done some checks as to just how much signal you have in the area you want to use the unit.
In this review I am referring to the Stationary Cel-Fi Go repeater working on Telstra 3G This is the only unit I have any experience with. After searching around our property with my mobile, (Samsung S5) I found that I could just about get one bar of signal up on the roof of our house and I managed to make a phone call to our landline. This was handy a...
Works as advertised.
Installed a Cell-Fi Go Marine kit today at lake Eildon. Worked as advertised from 1 bar to 4 bars on IPhone X on 4G. Very Happy with the system along with the boats parked next to me who also now have cell service.
Life saver in remote areas
I have the mobile version fitted to my Landcruiser, truckers edge antenna on the roof with a folding mount and the cel-fi unit under my drivers seat. In areas where the signal strength wavers between nothing and one bar I am getting 3 to 4 bars on my iPhone. I go from virtually no ability to use the internet to browsing and uploading videos of my trip to the WA goldfields.
If there is no signal at all don’t expect miracles.. 10 x nothing is nothing, but if you have even a hint of a signal this unit rocks. All my travel companions gather round my cruiser at the camp site. :)
Questions & Answers
Stationary and mobile cel fi , are they both the same and can be used either way ,?
The Mobile unit will only boost when the signal strength from the antenna drops below a usable limit which I think is about -95dBm. It will allow you to travel around without needing re-registration which would happen if you try using a stationary model in a car.
My Cel fi system is in a house in a remote area in Australia. It has been used in this area successfully for sometime now with nil issues but I was required to relocate it in the same house. Since then we will have full signal for a couple hours then all of a sudden it will drop out completely only to be fully restored hours later ( up to 12hrs). We have relocated it back to the original location with the exact same result. I have reset it etc but no change, any ideas?
We use Cel Fi go out bush with 18db yaggie doner antenna up to 120km from Telstra towers… Yes we also get dropouts during the day. I’m no RF engineer but because these units only need a sniff of signal, I put the dropouts for hours on end down to atmospheric conditions, humidity and cloud cover… Do you use a direction antenna ?
If it needs re-registration it will work for 15minutes after a reboot and then will stop boosting and the LED will flash red. Download Celfi Wave app - reboot Celfi - run the app - it will open on the registration page. Enter your name and address and submit. This happens when the Celfi thinks it has been moved to a new address.
I’m purchasing cel fi go on Friday
I have Mayb one bar and sos on my mobile my signal used to be 4 g and was like this for ten years I live in butler Perth
I hope your product is going to work
I don’t know why I’m affected Telstra just keep throwing off really they should be paying for this
Sometimes the signal is severely attenuated by the structure of the house. Crimsafe, window tint, metal louvres, etc. If you get 2 bars standing on the roof it is very likely to work satisfactorily if you mount an antenna on the roof.
