The worse customer service experience I have had.
I had the cassette come apart on my $4000 bike directly after my first serves. It came apart another 6 times over several months, each time they would aggressively try and blame me even though it would break within a few minutes of riding it and twice it broke before riding it e.g. oiling the chain. Eventually the warranty ran out and I was left with my bike that hadn't worked for 8months. The owner is the rudest customer service person I have had to deal with and the mangers not much better. I took my bike to a giant bike shop and the young k...id said it hadn't been put together properly and fixed it for next to nothing. The experience was world's apart. One star rating is too high. Look at other reviews expressing the same. Don't deal with them unless you have too.
Cannot recommend. I bought a new expensive bike, got home and discovered a broken part. Took it back and was told I broke it, that I was lying and I had to pay for the part... Find another shop.
Purchased a number of products online, shoes didn't fit, some products missing. After some ordinary patronising service, Sandra actually advised me to sell them locally?? last time customer CR, perhaps focus more on service.
I believe is they prefer to fleece customers.
Shame I cannot select a 0 star, I had the misfortune in dealing with them.
I went there to get a slow leak fixed, my bike as less than 12 mths old.
When I arrived a chap looked at my bike did something and said I am putting a new chain on it and next time he comes back I am putting a new cassette on which was all relayed to sales person on the floor as though I was not present.
I was charged an insane amount for a chain and a slow leak tire fix. When I took the bike home the tire was flat next day.
I am a biking novice and after speaking with people that are enthusiast I feel they did seriously take advantage.
I ordered a X-Tools Rolling Tool Case online on June 7, 2018, and was advised that it would take up to 2 weeks delivery from England. The shipment arrived today, June 14, exactly 1 week from ordering. I was advised all along the way as to the progress of the shipment. Plus, the price was good, too, with no delivery fees.
Many cyclists buy their stuff here - but not many cyclists appear to be on Product Review
I have ordered 2-3 times per year for last 5 years or so and I cycle 30km daily to work. Only had a few issues along the way and they sorted them for me quickly. Convenient way to shop, tyres are about 50% less than local bike shops here. I service my own bike and make sure I order in advance for the parts I will need. Nice and easy!
Untruthful and time wasting
I was informed "Your order has now been fully dispatched" and then 4 days later "The following items on order XXXXXXXXXXXXX have been CANCELLED and REFUNDED". "If you have not requested this cancellation it has happened because the item is no longer available."
So how was it fully dispatched if it was not available??? I can only assume they set orders as dispatched, so it appears like they get onto them quickly and have them out the door.
What a waste of my time. My bike is currently unrideable and it appears like it will continue to be unrideable well into next week now.
I put my order through last Thursday, and it's Thursday again now. I've lost a whole week! Thanks Chain Reaction.
2015 and nothing has changed.
The previous review from 2011 is spot on. I am still waiting for parts ordered on the 7th of Jan and all I get is lame excuses.
Their prices are excellent but shipping and their so called customer service team make the whole experience a waste of time and money.
Avoid this shop at all costs.
This shops employees all need to take courses in Customer Service, Don't expect a reply to your email, or even proper phone manner, they are lucky enough to handle most of the insurance replacements for Sydney, that is tens of thousands of dollars every week just handed to them by companies like AAMI, they will drag out processing your replacement just to have the money gaining interest in their account.
Dealing with shop is absolutely frustrating
