Circulon Whistling Kettle has been discontinued. See all Circulon Stovetop Kettles.
wow full whistle
I bought with doubts about the plastic content, however, who would have know the whistle was so pathetic. Of course I should have reviewed it first because I've also paid the top price for it at $84.95. It is very disappointing as my previous Circulon kettle, which was all steel, served me well for 8 years.

Worst kettle ever?
Avoid avoid avoid! The whistle is like a lonely train toooting in the distance. I've boiled this dry many times because I haven't heard it. Plastic parts including the whistle have melted. It sprays boiling water and steam everywhere when pouring, and the handle came apart from the body after less than a year. A dangerous chunk o junk.
Worst Design Ever
This is an expensive piece of junk. The worst designed kettle and dangerous. The spout splatters boiling water no matter how carefully you pour it and dribbles all over the cup. The lid to fill kettle sits in under the handle and really difficult to remove for filling especially when the kettle is hot as there is no other way to fill. Where the stainless meets the colored kettle body is always caking with white powder - we have the best tank water that has never effected other kettles this way and it cant be cleaned off. Cannot fill the kettle ...
Read morevia the spout as it is the wrong angle so have to fight with the top lid which then is hard to remove due to the handle location. The inside has rusted and there are large flakes that end up in the water. Unbelievable as there are no positives other than the look and colour - pretty poor given it is a kettle not a piece of art!! Junk
Almost every design mistake possible to make is executed here! Scalded hand/s is just one issue. The water sprays out when pouring and generally covers the bench top. The whistle sound is too quiet and fails altogether after a few months of use. This is the third kettle we've had, the first was replaced under warranty (whistle failure) the second we just gave up on, it too had whistle failure. This third kettle was a gift and is now two months old and has just had the whistle fail completely. Exposed stainless parts also rust quite readily and the risk of scalding is ever present due to very poor spout design. For the money it is just rubbish. A $12.00 one from Big W is far superior.

Bad taste and smell of water
Purchased this kettle from myer couple months ago, just searched on net to find same problem, water smells and tastes really awful after boiled. Hope not drinking any bad chemicals. Will follow up returning it and going back to the electric kettle. It was not a cheap kettle approx $70 and don't understand this but really is bad. Resorted to also using microwave for hot water.
Looks good trying to save on power using gas

I purchased the 1.8 litre Circulon Red Whistling kettle from Catch of the Day in December 12. Around 2 yrs later I noticed rusting on the bottom inside of the pot. I am currently trying to obtain a re...

Melting spout cover
Whistle sound is weird but fine, quite got used to it.
The spout cover melted as the gas stove flame must have been coming up the edge a bit This is insane design to have a kettle that will be sitting on top of a flame with parts that melt when close to flame. Only had it 4 days.
A good sized volume.
A melting spout cover is a disastrous design.
