Citroen C4 2006 1.6 HDi Manual - Great car, but not without it's flaws!

Nothing can be better than this!!

Used same platform with japanese car Mitsubishi ASX but different exterior. (this can be lower maintenance fee) Very stylish and lots of extra features such as 18" alloy wheels, rear view camera, bluetooth and so on. It can be converted to four wheel drive when driving on off road by simply turn on "lock mode". Lots of fun with modern style design.
Stylish, inexpensive

2013 Citroen C4 e-HDi Seduction B7

published

Just purchased a new 2013 Citroen C4 e-HDi Seduction B7, Build date July 2012.
Wow what a great car. so glad I did not listen to all the knockers that know nothing about them.
I usually buy a new car every 4 to 5 years and this has to be one of the best (Even better than my Honda Euro Prestige), Great fuel economy, very quiet and comfortable.

Contains several features which will be in most cars five years from now (auto wipers, auto headlights, directional headlights, fixed centre steering wheel, integrated bluetooth phone).
Amazing and effective use of technology. Good performance, precise handling
Sensitive brakes, vague gearshift

A car with panache!

published

Bought the vechile new and have just traded it on a new c4 e hdi exclusive.
The car performed flawlessly having achieved 100,000kms in just under 3 years. It never let me down and was a real pleasure to drive, comfortable and quiet on the road. Having previously owned Mazda, Honda and Saab in recent times the quite different styling combined with the wonderful fixed hub wheel and other technology related items gave me much pleasure. The servicing was not expensive and occuring at every 30,000 miles made ownership no hassle. The dealer was always helpful and provided loan cars during servicing.
Reliable, comfortable, real style, cheap to operate and service
Noisy rear suspension on rough roads

A dream to drive and own!

We have the 5 door hatch and it is a dream to drive!
It has all the technologies you could imagine, I have driven SAAB's in the past and this beats them!
There is an amazing amount of space in the cabin, actually it appears to be larger interior than our old ford Falcon AU - go figure!
Comfort is superb and so is fuel economy.
Price, features, technology, ride, styling and not to mention the glass roof!

This is one of the best cars ever built. Pity it is imported by Ateco. Pity the dealers do not support their product in Australia. I wish I still had my C4 diesel!
Had the 1.6 Turbo Diesel 2006 manual model for three years. It had fantastic fuel economy. I would average 3.7l/100 km regularly. It was comfortable, a joy to drive and trouble free. The panoramic roof was great, the fixed steering wheel easy to use and the cruise control precise. I wish I had not sold it.
Resale value would be my only complaint.

C4

I have a 2011 C4 Exclusive E HDI semi automatic. Love the car, everything about it suits our family needs perfectly and for long runs I've never been more comfortable in any car I've owned before. Now a problem has arisen. The stereo has lost it's voice. The central screen is working, the radio etc come on and display what's playing but no sound at all. I am not technically minded at all and do not want to fiddle for fear of making things worse.
Does anyone have any idea of what this could be. It's the Denon system with the big old sub-woofer in the boot?

Sorry, can't help but does your car have an on board diagnosis system? If not a mechanic or mechanically minded friend could use a multi meter type unit to plug into your cars electrical system and diagnose the fault. It should not be too expensive.
Sounds like a software problem.

Hello i have a 2007 c4 auto and its goes very well but sometimes when i slow down to stop and but the break on to stop it gives me a jerk like I'm towing a trailer and it's pushed the back of the car. Sort of like it's going out of gear then back in with a jerk. I have had RACV look at it and they couldn't find anything neither can my machanic. Is it normal for these cars to do that sometimes.
