Not a care in the world for there customers.
So I lost my partner to a stroke at 42 and the Ripcurl watch see got me for my Birthday needs fixing the only place that can do that is City Beach where she bought it from. I've been into all the stores in my area who have all asked for proof of purchase and I don't have that due to the fact it was bought as a gift for me and no matter how hard ive tried they will not budge at all. I think this is so way over the top nonsense so my watch will never get fixed and is totally useless. Thanx City Beach for been so Understanding.

After speaking with their online team a pair of problem with a pair of issues was resolved.
Really bad customer service ALL AROUND
Customer service is your biggest flaw. Train your staff or employ better people to run your company. Simple. Facts. Easy.
cheap quality products
My wife has bought me shirts shorts and sunglasses from hear and not one has lasted more than 2 months with out looking years old coating coming off sun glasses neck lines going wrinkly and shorts that the cords are ready to snap i thought they were from Geek until she showed me the receipt would never buy any thing from hear again
Shop layout is horrendous
Visited shop at Loganholme yesterday very keen to find appropriate sized tops etc. The poor layout of the shop and random placement of stock/clothing makes it almost impossible to find anything. Sizes bunched so tight and out of "order" you have to go through Entire racks to search and eliminate ... great clothes but shop in disarray.
Every single dress that I have bought from city beach says to cold wash which I always do and every single one of the dresses have shrunk for some reason. I have bought at least 10 dresses and This has happened to every one of them
Pathetic customer service
Went to city Beach garden city on Christmas Eve. Went to pay for my item. Was really great standing there while Simon and the two useless girls next to him talked amongst themselves looking over at me occasionally. No acknowledgement. It was as if it was an inconvenience to serve me. It was late afternoon and there were no other customers at the counter waiting to be served. Staff looked like they had better things to do than to be at work. Pretty sad that people like this- who clearly don’t want to be at work are taking jobs from people who do want to work.

I was desperately looking for board shorts for my partner and was helped by Mia at the Cockburn Gateways store in WA. Her service was excellent and I bought 2 pairs.
Mykonos Platform shoes hurt when walking
When I tried these shoes on they fit well, they were even a bit big but there wasn't any smaller sizes. I tried to wear them for the first time and the wide strap going over my foot pulls really tight and hurts my feet. My feet sit loosely in the shoe, but it pulls tight when walking. It is so painful that I cannot wear them! I think it is a flaw when they were made. P.S. I have small feet!
Faulty wallet zipper fell off. Unwilling to help.
Bought a Dexter wallet for my son 3 months ago. He uses it very sparingly. Zip has come off. Faulty product that City Beach is unwilling to exchange. Says there is nothing they can do.
Their clothes will shrink
Bought some beautiful comfy pants for $50
Unfortunately half their clothes are made of rayon and shrink even in a cold load. If you sell clothes that need super special care you have to label them clearly otherwise it's deceiving customers.
Great Online and In Store!
I usually shop at the Rouse Hill, or Mount Druitt (Westfield) stores. Though I've seen the negative reviews about City Beach, I love their clothing, and their customer service is fantastic! The staff are always so pleasant. They assist with all that they can :) The only issue I have is that sometimes their sizing can be out of whack.
Not the best
I last went to the Watertown store in Perth and found a top in the sale section with a $19 sale sticker on it. When I went to purchase said top, the girl scanned the label and it came up as $34.95. She tried to tell me that was what the price was meant to be so that's what I should pay. I usually dislike speaking up about these things but I really wanted the top and so said I would be paying $19 or I'd just leave it because it was in the sale section with a sale sticker attached. She then questioned whether I actually found it in the sale secti...on or not. Like sorry but It's not the customers fault that your staff incorrectly priced an item and put it out on the sales floor. She eventually put it through at $19 but I think she just couldn't be bothered with it and wanted to move me on as quickly as possible. Another gripe is the swimsuit sizes - a size 12 top is more like a size 8, I am by no means large but I was spilling out of every top I tried. Because of these things I tend to avoid City Beach in favour of more affordable shops with better range of sizes.
I ordered a pair of home brand ugg boots in December. In less than 3 months the soles started coming off the boots. When I contacted customer service I was advised that they were out of warranty! Very disappointing, I think the soles of anything should last longer than 3 months. Not to mention it was summer so rarely worn, and not worn outside.
Bad customer service
Went in City Beach store in Townsville and as i was walking into the changing room and there’s one male staff had a good look at my face and the two tops I picked and afterwards I decided to buy one top and leaving the other top in the changing room and the same male staff stopped and gave me a dirty look for couples of seconds Without saying anything thinking I stole the other top. Then i stopped and said to him that the other top is in the changing room. This is such a poor customer service. And on top of that he didn’t even greet me when I walked in the shop. He looked at me with no smile and walked away.
Excellent customer service
I spoke with Lachlan at the Harbour town store Gold Coast. He gave me accurate advice and I'm very satisfied with purchase. Very happy with my buying experience. Will definitely buy here again.
Denied change room. Told i could change outside of change room.
I have never been denied a change room. I was told my daughter could change outside of change room. I said I would prefer privacy of a change room. So stepped into changing area as with my child as we were not given changing room. Others after me were given and went into change rooms. All we wanted was some where to hang items and private room to try on items in private. I told the change room lady this is ridiculous and needed a change room as we’re trying items on. I walked into a private change room without her consent. It was much easier t...o try on things and finally had privacy. However, we were left feeling exposed from changing in in an exposed area at first, lack of privacy and lack of customer service. Only bought item because my child wanted it.
Fraud and no explanation
My daughter was given 2 gift cards for her birthday. Both were issued/activated 20th July 2019. She has only just come to use it and discovered that there is less credit than what is on the card and the pin number hasn't been scratched. I called the 1800 number to be told that both cards had purchases made - one on 28/9/19 and the other on 9/11/19. How can this possible when my daughter physically had the card with her all this time. I asked the question whether it is possible that someone (maybe the person who gave her the card) could have tak...en a photo of the card, gone into the shop and the cashier just entered the gift card number. Their reply was no and that their staff is trained not to accept purchases unless they have the card itself. Then I asked the question could it be possible that one of their staff members may have used the card as both purchases were made at Tuggerah (strangely enough). The answer again was no. All this doesn't make sense and it is obvious to me that something fishy has happened. I got no explanation, no word of apology and no offer of reimbursement. My daughter has just had to just bite the bullet and count her loss. Unfortunately she was not able to buy what she wanted and got turned away. Citybeach needs to have more protocols in place so that things like this don't happen to others. The pin number should be entered when the card number is entered manually. This allows someone to know that the card has been used. When someone purchases a gift card, ID should also be taken and note of who the gift card is made out to. This way it can be traced if someone other than the recipient uses it. Right now I'm pretty annoyed with the whole situation!!! Don't think we'll be visiting the store any time soon :-(
Bought a swimsuit (KAIAMI brand) and the elastic from one leg side on the bottom part loosened on the SAME DAY of purchase. It happened after 10 seconds of wearing it for the first and only time! Since the hygiene sticker was removed (why would I leave it on? am I suppose to know that it will get damaged on the first day?), the physical store staff refused to refund or exchange the product.
At City Beach a 12/14 there is more like trying on a 08/10, never really have any bigger sizes available and the dresses are so very short! Also pretty pricey.
