Denied change room. Told i could change outside of change room.
I have never been denied a change room. I was told my daughter could change outside of change room. I said I would prefer privacy of a change room. So stepped into changing area as with my child as we were not given changing room. Others after me were given and went into change rooms. All we wanted was some where to hang items and private room to try on items in private. I told the change room lady this is ridiculous and needed a change room as we’re trying items on. I walked into a private change room without her consent. It was much easier t...o try on things and finally had privacy. However, we were left feeling exposed from changing in in an exposed area at first, lack of privacy and lack of customer service. Only bought item because my child wanted it.
Online service excellent
I ordered a few items and they all arrived on time and were exactly what I was expecting. One shirt was the wrong size but it was easy with no fuss in swapping for the correct size in store. Thank you
Postage amounts for refund
Terrible service. Paid for postage for initial item then had to pay again when returning product due to wrong size. Also, have not had full refund processed on returned item. Will not shop here again.
Fraud and no explanation
My daughter was given 2 gift cards for her birthday. Both were issued/activated 20th July 2019. She has only just come to use it and discovered that there is less credit than what is on the card and the pin number hasn't been scratched. I called the 1800 number to be told that both cards had purchases made - one on 28/9/19 and the other on 9/11/19. How can this possible when my daughter physically had the card with her all this time. I asked the question whether it is possible that someone (maybe the person who gave her the card) could have tak...en a photo of the card, gone into the shop and the cashier just entered the gift card number. Their reply was no and that their staff is trained not to accept purchases unless they have the card itself. Then I asked the question could it be possible that one of their staff members may have used the card as both purchases were made at Tuggerah (strangely enough). The answer again was no. All this doesn't make sense and it is obvious to me that something fishy has happened. I got no explanation, no word of apology and no offer of reimbursement. My daughter has just had to just bite the bullet and count her loss. Unfortunately she was not able to buy what she wanted and got turned away. Citybeach needs to have more protocols in place so that things like this don't happen to others. The pin number should be entered when the card number is entered manually. This allows someone to know that the card has been used. When someone purchases a gift card, ID should also be taken and note of who the gift card is made out to. This way it can be traced if someone other than the recipient uses it. Right now I'm pretty annoyed with the whole situation!!! Don't think we'll be visiting the store any time soon :-(
Bought a swimsuit (KAIAMI brand) and the elastic from one leg side on the bottom part loosened on the SAME DAY of purchase. It happened after 10 seconds of wearing it for the first and only time! Since the hygiene sticker was removed (why would I leave it on? am I suppose to know that it will get damaged on the first day?), the physical store staff refused to refund or exchange the product.
I ordered one jumper from this store. At first the order took over a week to get delivered once i received it, it wasnt even my order. I then returned that order and got my original order posted to me with express postage. After 5 days i received that order, it was the right jumper yes but the complete wrong size. It is seriously not hard to just get it right.
i am very disappointed in the service and will not be shopping here again.
I paid for express delivery which should take no more than 3 days, only to be told when I enquired about my order that it can take anywhere between 3 - 4 days, but as I live in WA it will take longer and I should understand that they are very busy at this time of year. I live in the city and receive express post parcels from the eastern states often; they always arrive within 3 working days at the very outside and are usually here within 2. Standard post is here within 5 working days , so I would query why City Beach take so long? I would als...o query why the person who answered felt the need to act as though I was out of line for enquiring as to why I hadn't received a confirmation email for my order, and for asking why I was paying express postage for a service that was gong to take longer than if I had paid for standard?
At City Beach a 12/14 there is more like trying on a 08/10, never really have any bigger sizes available and the dresses are so very short! Also pretty pricey.
Poor Customer Service
I placed two separate orders online totaling almost $600 during the CYBER sale where you had to enter in a code to receive the discount. The code was entered both times and appeared to go through but when I received my confirmation email it wasn't applied. I emailed them straight away and rang them the next morning. I was told it hadn't been entered, which was untrue, and that the sale was over so they couldn't apply the code after the fact this was their policy. What happened to customer service! I then told them to cancel the order as I only ...ordered the items because of the sale. The person on the phone didn't care at all that not only were they losing a $600 sale but I said I won't come back. This is terrible customer service and be warned because of a glitch in their system they won't honor deals.

Love City Beach and there range of products
Every time ive purchased stuff from here Ive been happy with the clothing and accessories. express postage always comes a day after I ordered and standard shipping usually comes within the week. Easy to return items too!
Bad online customer service
I placed a $140 order, and after a week it still hadnt arrived. I phoned the online support number, was on hold for almost 10 minutes, only to be told our order hadn't been processed due to a gliche in the system (even though we received confirmation of the order). I was then promised 30% off for the inconvenience which was never sent through. Bad customer service. All I wanted was to have the order processed and sent but this wasn't an option. Not even a discount for the stuff around. Online buyers beware
Product Falling to Pieces
I bought a playsuit/overalls from city beach about a month ago, and have worn it maybe twice in that time. In that time the product has literally fallen apart, with holes appearing in every part of it. Totally ridiculous!! This quality of product should not even be allowed to be sold!!

I ordered a few pieces of clothing and a pair of sandals off their website. Just after a week of not receiving another email about my order being shipped I sent an email to customer service and received a really kind email back about there being some sort of issue but they would continue to update me about my order. The next day I received an email that the sandals were not in stock as the products can take up to 24 hours to leave the website which is fair. I then received the money back for the sandals and a further $50 ecard for the inconvenience. My order was delivered to my doorstep the next day.

I placed an order last week and was kept up to date daily, with the progress of my order.
My order arrived earlier than the original estimate.
Both of the items I ordered were as depicted and the sizing and colours were true too.
I found the live chat VERY helpful when I was ordering as they were able to answer a question for me, before I ordered.
I would not hesitate to purchase from City Beach again and would certainly highly recommend the quality of their products and the professional way they handle their on line purchases.
Express Post Not Worth IT
Why is it if you go into the post office and mail express post it gets there the next business day, but not with City Beach it can take 4 business days!!!!! Not happy.

I have rung twice today to speak to customer service. The first time I hung up after 1.5 HOURS second time hung up after 1.35minutes. Disgusting where is your STAFF. It states between the hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm you can speak with someone. This is not true!!!!!

Purchased 2 x Havianas and should have received a mystery gift but the code didn’t work, I was told if I emailed they could include it.
They then told me they couldn’t include as I should have entered the promo code even though the code didn’t work.
They then sent me an email saying my complete order has been shipped

Staff are young and dumb
The staff have limited knowledge of the brands and sizes of the stock they sell. The store plays loud music, it is difficult to communicate with staff. Some brands are expensive.

Website states 830 opening time. Staff opened doors at 907am. Waste of time waiting at 830..
Lack of stock in Large or XL. Didn't end up spending a cent with City Beach. Don't bother.
Slight issue with product quality.
City Beach is a bit on the pricey side for me, however sometimes if I find a product I really like I will make the purchase, or buy when there is a sale on.
I have purchased a men's wallet from City Beach as a gift; the wallet lasted almost a year before it started to rip where the card inserts are. When you pay $80 for a wallet, you expect it to last longer than a year. I ultimately ended up purchasing the same wallet from a different website, and it has been doing fine so far.

Hi I was just wondering if anyone didn't receive a confirmation email but still got their order?
Hi Trinity, I'm yet to get mine. I spoke to and Customer service today and she told me their systems had been down since Friday so there would be delays getting the emails. I got an email late today to say they are processing... So it's a waiting game. In saying that, placed an order with platypus a day after city beach... And I got that parcel today.
