Shower screens that leak
Fixed ?? our leaking shower recess for the fouth time by drilling ' drainage holes ' into the frame in several places to let the water, that shouldn't be getting into the frame, run out into the shower recess, rather than onto the bathroom floor.
I'm firstly quite amazed that this is the work of professionals, the holes that were drilled out have sharp edges and it just looks dodgy, the new frame now looks damaged, not new.
I'm also annoyed about the time spent picking metal shavings out of my foot and cringe at the thought of rubbing a...cloth over these next time I clean. There is now rust coming out of the holes they drilled, I also read this on another google review where they tried to tell the customer it was the cleaning product they were using, rust is rust, not a good product. Another recess in our home has now started to leak, these issues started less than six months after this product was installed. Will put up with the water on the floor as we don't want them drilling any more holes that weep rust. I do not recommend this company.
This company sends text messages to say that they are en route and then call and say that they are not coming. It took 4 attempts to get the shower right......and finally they installed it, and it was scratched. They sent a guy out to replace it and he arrived late (1 .5 hours), and then proceeded to drill out the pop rivets etc. He even managed to gouge my newly painted ceiling, but of course didn't tell me. After he left I noticed that the shower was full of all his filings and bits that he had drilled out. He had made no effort to clean the...m up - I have children using that shower and there could have been lots of cut feet..................Hopeless!!!! They installed a mirror and instead of centrally placing it in the bathroom, they had a 5ml gap on one side and nothing on the other. They didn't even tidy it up with silicone (That was another visit) I could never recommend this company to anyone and like the other reviews, I wish that I had done my research because they are hopeless!!!!
Trialed civic as new shower screen supplier for construction business. Rep rarely answered the phone, or returned calls. Apparently they had not processed our order so had to re-order which delayed a further 3+ weeks. When I did finally get a hold of sales rep after numerous calls, he advised that shower screens would be ready to go by friday....but ended up being approx 2 weeks after that. Bad communication, will not be using again.
Pay a bit more and use someone else
Price was great BUT it took 3 install visits and 2 remakes to get our shower screens in and right - had to chase them every step of the way. Would not use them again. Just wish had of read these reviews before I gave them the job.
No organisation or integrity
Cut the wrong mirrors for our house; was rescheduled for the week after, nobody came and wasn't given any courtesy call as to why. Waited another week and got a call to tell me they wouldn't be coming at 7am but was scheduled for the next day.... get a call at 8am to reschedule AGAIN!
Rubbish Service and Systems- product ok, IF you can get a competent installer to show up.
"Happy Customer' below is presumably Civic's Marketing Manager attempting to ameliorate the other (undoubtedly accurate) reviews.
Civic- your product is usually good, so rather than waste your time writing fake 'happy' reviews - what you need to do to fix the rubbish service culture. Here's how;
1. Hire sales reps who know what they are doing, can measure up properly, and don't talk rubbish (e.g. promise 10 working days turnaround when they KNOW it's heaps longer at present.)
2. Change your paper based quoting system, which encourages er...
Customer service is very poor. We were told our splash backs had arrived on the Thursday afternoon and booked in for the following Monday to be installed. Phoned Monday morning to confirm time of installation and were told it wasn't booked in and they couldn't do it until Thursday or Friday! It didn't matter we had taken the day off work to be here for them. After heated phone calls they came the following day. Paint scratched on the corner of one piece, another piece painted on the wrong side, measurements not exactly what was quoted on and co...lour not exactly what we provided them with a sample off. They will not leave your house until payment is receive in full either. I would not recommend them to anyone. They need to look up the definition of customer service and provide a good product to the exact measurements they quoted. Surely there are some professional companies in Brisbane that can do a good job????
Do not use this company!! you will regret it
The fronts of the draws in our closet weren't screwed in properly and came apart every time you opened them. After 4 months of trying to get Civic out to fix them, they finally contacted us asking the best time to come out. I emailed back and told them the days I was available and if they couldn't do it on one of those days could they give us a few days notice so either my partner or I could get some time off work to be home for it. I didn't hear back for 2 weeks so I emailed again and Jane the girl I was corresponding with said she had passe...d it on to the schedule team and they would contact me with a day. After a few more weeks and several emails asking when i could expect someone and confirming my availability. I emailed again and asked when someone would be coming. She emailed me back the next day (while I was at work) and told me someone would be there that day between 8-12. As you can imagine this was highly annoying. I told them they would have to reschedule as I was at work and couldn't be home and to please inform me prior to the day of the appointment. They rescheduled of the Monday, I took the day off and stayed home all day waiting for David the installer to come. At one point i did see a Civic screens van park outside our building and after a few seconds the guy started the van back up and drove off. I called the office at 3:30 and after being passed through to a few people (none of which was Jane who i'd asked to speak with) I was told he would be able to make it and he would call me that afternoon to make a new time. He called and after fumbling his way through an excuse about another job we settled on a new date and time. I asked for him to get a written confirmation sent to me to which he told me he couldn't do that as he didn't use email and the girls in the office couldn't confirm his schedule. he also said if i was concerned I could call him but he wouldn't be calling me because he "didn't have access to my phone number" (he had called me to have this conversation) He did turn up to the next appointment but didn't seem to care very much about the draws. he replaced one and tightened one but said the others we fine just that I shouldn't slam them or pull them to hard. The worst customer service, the worst workman ship. not sure what they all do in the office all day because no-one returns your emails and no-one shows up to their appointments. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! YOU WILL REGRET IT
