The staff we dealt with were mostly nice and tried to help but it took 4 weeks to correct their mistakes. First they put the fixed glass in the shower the wrong way around. They admitted that straight away. Then we discovered they put the sliding doors in the wrong way. When our reno guy rang them he was told we were wrong. He agreed with us. Then he was asked to talk us out of correcting it. Then we kept having appointments cancelled as people called in sick or they were too busy. I believe that most of the staff were trying to be helpful but there is s breakdown somewhere.
Poor customer service and not great product. How are they still in business?
Oh yeah ... there is so little competition! I phoned three companies for quotes. The first time round no one phoned back and no one came. A few months later I tried again and the lady at Civic said they had a problem with their previous agent not following up with phonecalls. This time Matt did turn up and measure up. We took a while to pay the deposit (half the quoted amount) but did so 4 weeks before Christmas. We were told it would take 2 to 3 weeks. At 3 weeks a guy turned up (no prior phonecall) to do the innards of the wardrobe and he sai...d the doors would be right behind him. Two weeks later with no contact I phoned the office and they told me we were booked in for January 11th!! I expressed my dismay but there was no apology or explanation. January 13 the installer turned up without any prior warning and installed the doors and shower screen. The wardrobe door scratches when I open it, and the shower screen door is curved (how do you get a bent glass panel??) No checkin from the company after install ... all in all incredibly disappointed. I have since noticed that bathroom supply warehouses often have recommended installers. I suggest you try them ... not google or yellow pages! And certainly not Civic.
Incorrect products produced and install not high quality.
We had a big job >$4K, two bathrooms (Mirrors x 6, Showerscreens x 1) and kitchen mirror splashback. Service was pretty good although no one came out to check measure for splashback. Even though templates were done for the six bathroom mirrors, two were cut incorrectly and one was even installed without advising us first it wasn't fitting correctly. It then had to be removed and redone and in the process of removal the new vanity top was chipped. The shower screen was also cut incorrectly as well as the kitchen splashback. New piece of shower s...creen was fitted however fit and finish is not to the quality expected due to unnecessary and uneven gaps and the silicone work was also not the best as bubbles were not pushed out as well as some gaps where water could sit that would start to mould up. About a total of five visits to our house for them to complete the job. Yes I may have got it cheaper than some others but for the quality aspect and install I would not use them again.
