I LOVE CLARK RUBBER!!!!
went in to buy a small amount of rubber, came out with a small backyard pool! the friendly staff helped me (even got to meet clark himself!) very fun day. i know what ill be doing next Saturday!!!
Couldn't even crack a smile
Just been into Moorabbin store for a piece of foam for my old dog as advised by the vet.
It was very quiet. A young man approached me as soon as I entered, asked what I was looking for, took me to the pre-cut and upholstered pet beds (which I'm sure were more expensive) and stood there silent, like a cough-drop, whilst I um-ed and ah-ed then walked to the cash desk when I said I'd buy it. He didn't waste any words with any kind of small talk or advice and couldn't even crack a smile! Now some people might like the silent sales assistant type b...
I have had 2 fast set pools from clark rubber and both have been defective. They replaced the first one which leaked and the replacement is also defective on the upper ring. Over it. I am from Mandurah which has been closed along with Rockingham so I had to travel to the nearest store which was bloody miles away. Bad advice, staff don't give a damn. Not happy jan!!!!
Do Not Buy Here
Do not purchase a pool from here! Same brand 1/2 the price at Kmart. Terrible, disinterested, unhelpful staff. Crap advice.
Over priced poor service
Im commenting on the clark rubber as a business as i visited 3 stores to source some foam and rubber for a large craft project. I know they are not the cheapest but since they specialize in rubber and foam you would assume they could be more competitive in foam and rubber. But nope not even willing to price match their competitors. So you would think you pay more because of the service? But the staff in my experience are hit and miss. The majority of the attitude i came across was if you dont like it to bad. Which kinda pushes you to their competitors and even research their suppliers and buying direct from them.
Recently bought an above ground pool. Had to go back three times because there were so many missing parts. Found out that the pool they sold me had been opened and sold to other people for spare parts. We had to get a refund AFTER I dug up my grass!! No apologies for the hassle. Useless.

Kawana Owner/Franchise misslead me to buy incorrect robot pool cleaner
Made purchase in-store with the owner, they have been servicing my pool for 6 months before I decided to purchase a robot vac. [name removed] the owner than sold me a unit which he had in stock and wasn't right for my pool.
Have tried to upgrade, they are not interested in exchanging for the new model with is in stock now.
Won't be going back, don't trust a word what the owner says.
I was really 'gob smacked' at Clark Rubber. They could have done better.
My experience is of Clark Rubber Penrith. A lesson in how they could have done much more, to keep a brand new customer. I visited a Clark Rubber store for the first time.
Don't get me wrong, the sales assistant was polite and efficient. The franchise missed SO many opportunities to keep and grow me as a new customer.
I was shocked by the way I was treated.
I couldn't understand why Clark Rubber didn't understand the basic principles of how to keep clients.
Let me tell you what happened.
My wife was re-upholstering our Victorian Gout Stool (If you've never relaxed with your feet up on one - you've never relaxed!). She needed a 'dense' foam.
Clarke Rubber -Jandakot Pool "service"
Have been experiencing hard to get rid of mustard algae so thought would call in an "expert'. I wanted a full, good service inc cleaning filter etc.
The guy was nice enough but what a waste of time. Im pretty sure i knew more about swimming pools than he did. Maybe they are used to people who have completely no idea as he seemed surprised when i said i knew what "vacuum to waste" was. All he did was check the water quality (which i could have got done in the store for free) and then chucked in a bit of algaecide and acid. He then used my br...ush just to sweep the bottom quickly, No filter clean, didn't even empty skimmer baskets. I've also had an issue with my SWG (keeps saying low salt even though it isn't). Didn't offer any advise other than just buy a new one from us and we will install it for 1200dollars (online they are 400-500dollars). He was gone within 30 mins. All for a nice, tidy 270dollar plus GST-so 300dollars for that. Would not recommend.
No concept of who pays bills
Clarke Rubber come once a month as part of our lease and I wish they didn't. More often that not the skimmer basket doesn't get touched. They'll leave the hose running in the pool and never come back so we come home to find it overflowing then they have to add salt. The filter skimmer never gets cleaned. They mess with our timer so the filter runs far more than required and during peak hours. Today I discovered when they came 5 days ago they set the filter to on then left??
Had seen a twin inflatable kayak outside there store at coffs harbour but I was to busy to call in so I called them the next day to enquire about the kayak. I was told the price was $289 and come with 2 paddles and a pump. When I turned up a week later I was told there was only one left and didn't come with a pump but they still was asking $289. Seeing it was the last one I finally got them down to $250 and asked if they would throw in a pump which they did. Thinking I got a great deal I thought I'd look the explorer K2 kayak up online to read some reviews only to find out you can buy them online for $98.00. Pay's to shop around before buying things I guess. Not happy.
Still waiting for them to come and do a demonstration of their Robotic Pool cleaner, they have all my details and contact information.
Think I will do my own shopping and purchase elsewhere, especially after been served by a young Mormon in the Coffs Harbour Store, on Saturday 5/3/2017, I guess you have missed out on a $2,500 cash sale.

Terrible customer service
I made the purchase in store but the finger tips came off the mat in patches.
& Clark Rubber have terrible customer service I won't shop their again!
Custom foam fabrication - VERY expensive
I made an inquiry - with drawings - for a relatively simple foam object to be made - with some thoughts on how I'd go about it. A cylinder shape approx 180mm tall by 150mm.
For me to buy the foam & make them myself at $50/hour plus cost of the foam
- around $50 total per piece (I had pre-made a sample to test the idea).
Assuming Clark Rubber were better equipped to do something like this efficiently - I need ten at a time, I asked for a quote, expecting something in the same ballpark.
Nooo... not on your rubber duckies life!
$300 PLUS GST - each!
Bought something in good faith; didn't work. Returned it slightly over the refund limit. No refund, regardless that I'd been in hospital & not able to rerurn it sooner. Impersonal, NO flexibility
Do not buy their "chlorine"!!!!
I have been purchasing their chlorine for my vinyl pool for last 4 summers. Every summer after only about 4 weeks of use with almost constant filtering the pool goes cloudy then green and cannot be recovered and has to be drained. I get the water tested there and they keep telling me more chlorine. I place triple and quadruple doses in but same result. Last week I went to a proper pool shop and had the water tested. They said there was NO chlorine in the pool!! It rated a zero on the test. I told them what product I was using and they liter...ally laughed. Telling me that it contains less than a quarter chlorine and the rest is made up of chalk and other fillers. I bought a product stocked by this pool shop and dosed the pool as they suggested and overnight the improvement was incredible. I will never buy Clark Rubber pool chemicals again. They are a scam and a rip off!!
Pool servicing is woeful..
Clarke Rubber pool servicing is a complete farce. The Ballarat store has gone downhill since the departure of a good pool technician a couple of years ago.
The 'technician' (qualifications would appear to be following another tech around for one day) has not actually vacuumed the pool out for some time. He has put the automatic cleaner on and headed off. I note that I was still being charged the full service rate though. Pool was green within 4 days of an alleged 'service'
They will always service (I use this term very loosely) the pool d...uring the winter months but don't look after regular clients when it is summer and you actually want your pool to look good. I have had my pool serviced by them for the past seven years but no longer..
Super staff Balcatta Store!
I just wanted to share the most amazing experience that we had today in clark rubber balcatta.
All the staff was extremely friendly and experienced, they took care of our childrens with great entertainment while we were browsing in the shop.
Great pool shop, with professional technician, display pool, wide range of equipment (robotic&suction cleaners, sanitizing systems, pump, filters, heaters, pool covers fencing, chemicals and much more)
These guys really have anything you need!
We ended up buying a new mattress (Sleep Maker brand) and a chlorinator for our fiberglass pool.
Many thanks to all the staff, we will definitely see you soon guys!

Better off buying online
I had gone to the Myaree store while waiting for my car to be serviced. Looked at all the pools, discussed them with the salesperson, asked the question, "what else do i need for this". Was given the sales pitch for salt water chlorinator and other stuff. Sent some photos to my wife of some pools. My wife was near the Jandakot store, she also went in and asked questions about the pools.
We both went back to the Jandakot store the next day and spoke to a couple of sales people on what it takes to set these above ground pools up. Nothing wa...
Clark Rubber Pools are nothing but trouble!
Clark Rubber above ground pools are extremely troublesome and it is almost impossible to find anyone with any expertise to follow up with any service problems which you will definitely have! The Clark Rubber stores are franchises and there is no central port to call if problems arise-----and you can count on having problems. I bought an above ground pool for my grandchildren 2 years ago and from the time it was installed there have been nothing but problems. There is no service expertise available from clark rubber, so be aware that if you purc...hase a pool from them you are totally on your own after you have made the purchase. Our pool has had a leak the entire time that we have had it. One person who was on Clark Rubber's list of technicians turned out to be a total DUD ---he had very little knowledge and caused additional problems for us--and for this muck up we had to pay him!!! ( apparently this guy had been a primary school teacher who had a one day training course which involved following another technician around, and from this he claimed to be a trained expert!!) He even suggested the problem was with the water supply simply because he did not know what to do. We contacted the water board which told us there was absolutely nothing wrong with our water supply. My advice is to keep away from the clark rubber stores because they do not provide any after sales service for their swimming pool range, and it then becomes near impossible to find anyone reliable to even look at your problem!
