Absolutely despicable behaviour by staff
I bought a pool in the Jandakot store today. Turns out it was too big. I called the store and asked if I could swap it for the smaller one. The guy, [name removed], said "yes, just put it back in the box". I drove there, and when I spoke to [name removed], he said he couldn't swap it as I didn't have it all back in the box. I asked if they could help me and a staff member who was serving another customer piped up saying "its impossible to get it back in the box once its out". He was very arrogant and rude towards my friend and I. I asked what w...e can do to resolve this and he basically, in so many words said 'tough, your stuck with it'. I literally bought it 2 hours before. I kept asking this man, who refused to give me his name by the way, why he had to be so rude. This made his behaviour even worst. At one stage he forcefully said "we only exchange faulty items and don't even think of doing that". Both of the men continued to be highly rude to my friend and I as my 5 year old son listened to it all unfold. Fair enough if that's the policy but 1) they told me on the phone they would change it, and 2) if they had been courteous and actually provided customer service and apologised for the mix up of me having to drive the whole way there, then this would have been acceptable. I told this man I would be making a complaint and he sarcastically said 'great'. He was rude, condescending and sarcastic in his presentation. As we left, clearly upset, he shouted loudly after us "have a great day ladies". I was shocked at the treatment in this reputable business. My friends and I purchase a lot of items from Clark Rubber but this will cease. I am saddened that it has come to this. People like that should not be in a job that titles 'customer service'.
The staff at Erina were so helpful and obliging. We bought an above ground pool and there was no delay or hassle in delivery and the staff helped us load it up onto our trailer. We will be buying all our future pool needs from Clark Rubber Erina.
Bought a resin pool was told it would take one day to build. Now have been told it will take around 100hrs and will cost as much as the pool did to construct it I so wish I could take it back have to young children and this extra hidden cost is ridiculous would not recommend them to any one
Paid Clark rubber to look after pool for 6 months while house was leased. Moved in to find a disgusting pool and they tried to charge me 3 separate cleaning fees as it was apparently a 3 clean process. Absolute criminals. Terrible customer service and harassment.

On opening an item that I'd purchased a month previously, found it had a hole and couldn't be inflated. On trying to get a replacement, was rudely informed that as I'd bought it more than 30 days ago it wouldn't be replaced. Hope it was worth saving the $18 for the item for all the bad reviews you're now going to cop from me.

I went to the Clark Rubber store in Fyshwick ACT where my intention was to buy some high density foam and seat webbing that I needed to refurbish the padding on a lounge chair. The salesman came up and asked what I wanted. I said I need some 75mm high density foam. He corrected me saying I wanted it. I thought he was just being a bit jovial and said "No, I need it" He replied, with no hint of a smile : "No, you want it and you don't know if I've got it yet." So I said "Well if you've got it I need a piece 25 inches by 24 inches. " he the...n gave me a hostile look, threw his hands in the air and said "Inches! who measures in inches?" I apologised and explained that that was the size of the foam I'd taken out and I hadn't thought to convert it to metric. I offered to do the conversion using an app on my phone but he pulled a calculator from under the bench and said he'd do it. He then said that all his measuring tools, straight edges and squares were in metric and that converting to inches was a nuisance. Then he said "What's the conversion factor, 25mm to the in His?" I said it's actually 25.4 and he said in what I took to be a sarcastic and by now moderately aggressive tone " Does the point four really matter that much?" I said that over 25 inches it did and that I'd like the new piece to be as close to the old piece as reasonably possible. He then said 24 inches equals 60.96 cm. so I said just round it up to 61cm. He then glared at me and said well it won't be exact the will it? By this time I was pretty much fed up with his attitude and said " Look, do you want to sell me the product or do you just want to give me smart backchat?" He then said "I'm not the one being a smart, you are." At that point I told him he could keep his foam and his business because he wouldn't be getting any of mine in future , and left the shop. The previous franchisee was always very helpful and I was always happy to shop there even though the store was some 20km from home, but with the new franchisee and his dreadful take on customer service, I will not go back while ever. He holds the franchise. Clark Rubber has had a good name for product an service but this man is certainly doing that image no favours. Happily I was able to get the foam and webbing I needed from another foam and rubber retailer where I received excellent service and advice. He will be getting me custom in future. Sorry Clark Rubber Fyshwick, I'm gone!

Very poor customer service. Front line staff are extremely rude and unprofessional.

Was sold a faulty pool on 18th of this month rang the store spoke to the supposed boss about seeing a leak whilst filling the pool! She proceeded to patronise me and act like an uneducated little brat. I've never experienced such bad service. She wanted to know why I was still filling the pool if it was leaking which I wasn't! told me there was no refund when nothing stipulated such terms. Told me to patch a brand new faulty pool instead. She was the most unprofessional rude uneducated person I've ever dealt with. She needs to be fired not be in a position of authority. In the 42 years I've lived in Canberra I've never received such misinforming service and dealt with such vile service.

It's a shame. I called and was connected to my nearest store after putting through my post code 3021.
I asked about the sanit-eezy starter kit because my daughter has eczema (skin condition) and was told I'm better off using chlorine! When I told her my reason for the interest in the product the phone disconnected. I called Clark Rubber again using the same method and it was ringing for a while but, NO ANSWER!
Not looking forward to going in store either with all these damn reviews I'm reading!
Terrible experience at Shellharbour
We had some issues with our pool pump, we were told a technician could come out and have a look and attempt to fix it for $75. Technician visited, spent less than 2 minutes and said it was totally beyond repair and we needed to purchase a new one. And so we did. However shortly after the same technician left, we noticed a large air leak into the system. We called the store and they demanded we pay another $75 callout fee, eventually they waived it and the same technician came out and had another 2 minute look and said we have no leaks at all in...the system, but our filter is broken and warped and is causing the issue and needs to be replaced. At this point we sought a second opinion and paid a company two doors down to have a look. They spent a full 30 minutes on site and noticed the pump was poorly installed and pipe fittings running into the pump had been cracked causing a leak! They immediately fixed the issue. When my wife went into the store to complain, they seemed disinterested and told her to write and email. So I wrote an email, to which they replied back telling me to "be more professional" and "stop with my threats" after I said I would go to Fair Trading. When I replied back to that email and told them I feel they are either incompetent or deceptive, they told me to stop harrassing them and my emails were now being forwarded to their "legal team". Tried to rip us off, then instead of just saying sorry they accuse me of being nasty. Then ask me to "come back in and talk to us, you might change your mind with your false allegations". Absolute idiots, technician, manager and franchisee just want to steal your money with lies.

I recently took my pool cleaner to Clark Rubber Narre Warren. Mike and his team were fantastic. They fixed my cleaner and saved me a swagg of money to buy a new cleaner. Great job guys.
Worst service experienced ever
I purchased a pool cover in the Ballarat store on the 21.12.15 I was unsure of the exact size required, staff member said if it was wrong I could exchange it. I returned on the 22.12.15 to be treated like I was scum. [name removed] who served me laughed in my face and said he wasn't exchanging product as there was a tear in the box. I informed him I was told I could exchange. [name removed] again said he wasn't exchanging. He said he would get his manager so we walked to the back of the store where office was. The manager didn't even have the r...espect to come out of his office to discuss he just yelled "we are not exchanging it mate". I have purchased quite a few things from Clark Rubber before but I will NEVER be entering the store again. I have told many many people of the terrible service and disrespect for customers. I will continue to do so.
Poor Customer Service — Left Hand Doesn't Know What Right Hand Is Doing!
Enquired after a foam fold-up mattress over the phone. Liked what they promoted. Was told the stock was available at the Southport store. Arranged acquisition of a suitable vehicle and drove 40 minutes to Southport store, only to find out they had no stock and had not had any for quite some time. Ended up doing the same again the next day, this time to their Browns Plain store—a 120 minute round trip. Ended up costing as much in vehicle running costs as the product was worth, not to mention the time they caused us to waste. All this because our...guest's Eurobed failed us right on Christmas time, so kind of an emergency! Next time I will arrange an order number so I can invoice a vendor for my transport expenses should they fail me in this way again!
I purchased a mattress for my granddaughter's porta-cot online. Imagine my surprise when I had a knock on my door at 8am the next morning with the store manger from Toowoomba personally delivering our mattress as he was on his way to Brisbane.
No customer service skills
After locating what I wanted online, I went into clark rubber in fyshwick to buy this item. The staff member was rude and obnoxious. She tried selling us other items, when I said "No this is what I want" and showed her a pic of it. She told me she was a bedding specialist and It will not work for my needs.... she had no idea of "my needs". She then walked off and extremely rudely said I cant help you then. Ummmm what?! I knew what I wanted to buy and it wasnt her opinion! Never will I enter that store again and will let everyone I know how disgustingly rude their staff are.

Poor Customer Focus
Recently had an unhappy experience with this company at Narre Warren. Dropped off my pool cleaner for repairs but it all went wrong from there. The parts were not ordered as planned, the shop assistant blamed the owner (who took my details at the time) , the owner blamed the employee and it was nearly three weeks before I finally got my unit back.
I personally found the shop people to be quite helpful and somewhat embarrassed by the behavior of the owner, but at the same time trying to support the business. The attitude of the owner towards the issue and my concerns was less than sympathetic and totally inappropriate for an owner/manager and I am stunned at how he survives in business.
Clark robber, not rubber
Clark robber, not rubber as my 7 year old put it, even he recognised the disparity between presale promises and after sales delivery, customer services and lies. In a nutshell, wrong items delivered, promises to have correct items sent, a plethora of phone calls and store visits to resolve the situation and false promises and lies to have the problem rectified. Absolute ring around from a company that apparently has the biggest pool sales in nsw. Not a pleasant experience and would not recommend Clark rubber Shellharbour to anyone!
