The worst example of an online company booking
The company has an actual website that advertises in my area:
...but they don't actually service the area, and are blunt in saying that via texzt message. However, I wasted an entire day talking with one of their operators who said that they would come to the area, we organised a time and date, but when confirming the company said again they don't service the area that they actively advertise in. So I need to start from scratch again after a day of miscommunication, wasted conversations and straight out lying from the company.
It is one of the worst commercial interactions I have ever had.
DO NOT PAY UP FRONT - DO YOUR RESEARCH
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR ITS SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES!!! (AND THERE ARE MANY) After much research they go under the following names: M&M Maintenance aka Marks Maintenance (DO NOT CONFUSE THIS with a reputable business online "Marks Maintenance Gardening and Landscaping"). M&M Maintenance is also Marks Maintenance. He has several companies under his umbrella and uses existing reputable company names but just changes the order of the name. You can confirm what I am writing as each website is designed in the same way and the chat function goes t...hrough to the same call centre whether you are requiring a service in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Perth. The employees are all very obviously from a call centre in another country and have false names like Ash, Ron, Kate, Leanne, Richard, Brian, Zack Snyder, Anna, Stella, Clifford, Ben etc. SO DO NOT BE FOOLED. Did an awful job
Had a call night before doing a carpet repair job for us to defer from Saturday to Sunday because his van broke down. We couldn't change days so we said cancel the job if he can't make it. He got a car and came down to do the job. Wasn't happy to be there, repair work he did was so bad - he stuck bits of carpet to the underlay and make no great effort to make it look decent and the room stunk!! Cost nearly $500 for a rubbish job which he spent an hour on, we wish the job did get cancelled. Complained to the company but never rang me back. Never even gave me an invoice or receipt, had to pay into an account on the spot. Avoid this business!
Rug left waterlogged and ruined
Steam clean of my rug. And told two to three hours later it would be dry.
The next day I walked over it and it squished with water and there was a really strong musty smell.
I immediately hung it to air over my clothes airer and put fan on it. It got it dry but the musty smell remained. As well as a water stain underneath. Evidence that it happened!
Three days later they did a second steam clean and told me to hang it on airer straight away for 48 hours (not what they told me first time). I did this but alas the smell remained. A musty smell...exactly where the water stain is on the under layer. I have been back and forth with the company main phone line (who palm me off to the person who did the job, possibly a contractor) and then back and forth with the steam clean operator them self.

Know better, choose better.
I’d give it a worse review if I could. Provided additional services I specifically said I did not want which I then had to pay for, then gave me the run around about managers not being in the office and who I can talk to about payments and a refund. Then said ‘as a favour’ they would refund me half the money for a service I did not want and provided when I told them not to. They also act under multiple different business names. Do not trust this company.
Beware of this company
I booked Clean Sleep to clean and Scotchguard our lounge on the basis of the glowing customer feedback on their website. The guy who turned up to do the job arrived in an unmarked ute. Wasn't until I saw his receipt that I realised that he was actually an employee of an independent contractor called Marks Maintenance with a phone number 0421 830 164. If you google that phone number, you are taken to Mark's Carpet Cleaning and then you can see the real reviews for this business on Product Review - 1.5 stars from 25 reviews. 22 of them give t...hem 1 star and use words like scammers, fraudulent, dishonest. Only 3 give it 5 stars - see https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/mark-s-carpet-cleaning. Oddly, there are no 2, 3 or 4 star reviews. Who would you believe? Anyway, when the guy was packing his gear up after he finished cleaning the lounge, I reminded him that it was to be Scotchguarded too. He said he did that at the same time as the cleaning. I thought this was a bit suss as it seemed odd that he was able to spray the cleaning solution on, together with the Scotchguard chemicals and then vacuum it off immediately but somehow leave the Scotchguard on the lounge. After he left, I did some research on Scotchguard application and found out that it could not be applied that way - it has to be applied as a separate process after the lounge has been cleaned. I suggest you ignore the glowing and almost certainly fake reviews on their own website and rely on Product Reviews instead.
