Club Marine were very easy to deal with,
From when I made the claim, to the interactions with the repair company through to the follow up. I hadn't made a claim before and I was surprised how fast the repars were complete and I was able to use my boat again.

Assistance with the replacement of the 49er mast
Policy was easy to set up but unfortunately I was underinsured as the suppliers were not willing to supply a bottom section on the mast and wanted to supply a complete mast.
Every one from the Club Marine Consultant to the Assessor David were very understanding and helpful in this claim
hardest thing to do online is to find out how/where to pay renewal online
very hard to find where to perform policy renewal online. after going through the website 3 0r 4 times i found it in a tiny subscript on the bottom of the whole page with a couple of dozen other items . Surely one big upfront RENEW YOUR POLICY button wouldn't be that hard.
Insurance claim on a damaged motor
I am very impressed and thankful for the way that my claim had been handled by Club Marine Staff.
Club Marine followed up with update emails about my claim, which were regularly sent to me. The turn around time was a bit longer than expected to get my boat back to me, but was understandable, and had nothing to do with how my claim was handled by Club Marine Insurance. As I am asked not to post personal details, I would just like to point out how great the individual that handled my claim was.
I had fishing line around the seal for prop shaft.
Originally thought I might not be covered in policy but very happy to find out I was. I knew the motors age and thought it might be written off, I was over joyed that it got fixed. Only downside when also told after claim he had to also replace waterpump which was a extra 150 dollars out of pocket

Insurance Claim for Theft
The claim process was fairly smooth and CM personnel were easy to deal with and well informed on what was covered and what was not. The 3rd party claims assessor was also a good lad who wanted the facts and went about completing his report in a timely fashion

We have had 2 policies for a while and yes it was easy to set up. We have just made a claim for our boat and in a stressful time of our lives, Club Marine and the assessor who attended (Daryl Thompson) stepped in and fixed it all. They were friendly and professional from start to finish and the communication was terrific. They handled it all, from the time I phoned the stress was just taken away and now our boat is back good as new. Highly recommend :)
Stay away from this insurer
Insured my boat with club marine the very first day I decided to use this new to me boat. I had an incident with wAter ingress into my boat basically the very next day after insuring the boat whilst using it. I have been dealing with club marine for the past 9 months still having refused my claim. They have also sent out an investigator who has breached privacy laws and openly discussed another members claim he was investigating with me. I have missed out on a season of boating and have younger children who were looking forward to boating last...season but got nothing because club marine couldn’t get their story straight and refuse to cover me. They are happy to take my money for the premium but will not hold their end. I have had the worse experience with this company where their story has kept changing on their grounds of refusal and even had staff hang up on me when the questions got too hard to answer. Waiting for an outcome through the help of afca.
Great experience with Club Marine- this is a genuine review
We bought a Beneteau 473 in January in Southport and decided to take out full insurance with Club Marine with a $1000 excess. This is our 3rd yacht in 33 years and we have never made a claim. 4 weeks ago we had the misfortune to have been hit on the starboard quarter at 1.30 am n the Coomera River on a Friday. This was a hit and run incident and several thousands dollars of damage was done. Club Marine was great with their response and an assessor was sent from Brisbane as soon as possible and the repairs began at Boatworks the following Tuesda...y. The whole process went smoothly and the agent was very responsive throughout the repair process. They were right to accept Signature Yacht services' quote as their dedicated team did a great job. Thank you again.
