a stitch in time!!
We bought 3 chairs one failed with the stitching unravelling meaning the frame was coming through the padded seat, this happened on our second camping trip. The other two failed on our fourth camping trip. They are less than a year old and we are normal sized people, one of us being my teenage son who is slim. We are disappointed that the chairs we purchased failed so quickly, as they are not the cheaper type of camping chair and we splurged thinking they would be strong sturdy chairs that would last. We will be taking these chairs back and hopefully we will receive a full refund.
It seemed to be a strong well padded chair.
The stitching on the seats were the joins are unravelled exposing the chairs frame
For the 4th time we are having to return our 5 position chair back to the retailer. The reason being faulty workmanship in the sewing of the seams. There does appear to have enough seam allowance therefore allowing the material to fray and pull away from seam line.
These latest chairs we have had for only TWO weeks and the fraying is already happening again underneath.. It is not due to our weight either as we are both well under the allowance stated.
We love the positions that can be obtained that is great for supporting backs. They are so very comfortable.
Just not holding together as stated above. Guess that is why they have gone from 5 year warranty down to 3. But we did expect the chairs to hold together a bit longer than 2 weeks.
