Used this tent 3 times just recently camping mid Qld coastal areas. It was pretty windy but the tent held up fine, just make sure the fly is secured down tightly. I purchased better quality pegs than the ones that were supplied with the tent so that definitely helped. The vestibule at the front was really handy for storing the ice box plus other bits 'n pieces and my dog really liked sleeping there. The darkroom is great (I'm not an early riser), the integrated led light is a bonus (used it a lot more than I thought I would), standing room ...was very good, plenty of room inside. Overall really liked the tent. I'm not an experienced camper but am wanting to do more of it in the future. The only negative for me is the weight of the tent but I knew that before purchasing so can't complain.

Bummer-Flooded tent floor!
My star rating is because first time use of the tent flooded with water over a 5 night coastal trip. The warranty process wasn't the smoothest for a store credit. Purchased from tent world, but had to liaise with Coleman tent store.
The customer representative asked that I set up my tent again at home & run the hose over it.
Secondly, to take it into tent world to prove I could set it up correctly. Thirdly, to re -set it up to redo the whole process at home.
Photos of proof of the water leakage was sent originally & numerous of calls had to be...

We owned the silver series (the base model) about 10 years ago. Now we have kids and decided to get a new one. This one is much more expensive than the base model but worth every extra cent.
The dark technology works REALLY well. It helps when putting the kids to bed (in summer they go to bed before it gets dark). It also helps with what very limited sleep in the kids let us have.
Another huge step forward is the vestibule. Again, really worth spending the extra money to get it. Not only can you leave your shoes and other stuff out there but ...when its raining the vestibule stops water getting into the tent when you open the zipper to the tent proper. Set up time is similar to the other Coleman Instant Up Tents but takes maybe 1 extra minute to do the vestibule. The frame goes up in 30 odd seconds. But the fly and pegging down takes longer. Over all the set-up time is fair for the size of the tent but most importantly the setup is easy. We had some very windy days whilst we were away, and the tent preformed quite well, especially given its boxy shape. If youre looking for a good quality tent thats both fast and easy to set up I can recommend the Coleman Instant Up especially for the price. If you are going to get one from the Instant Up series, I strongly recommend paying the extra and going for the one with the dark tech and the vestibule.
First time use and was very happy with it.
First time use over at Moreton Island it is was easy to setup. Love the dark room made it so much better to sleep in. Usually when I go camping I wake at first light due to the fact the tents let in too much light , this truly does keep out all the light. I did not sleep it during the day so unable to comment personally if it was hot but my other family member who had a nap said it was comfortable to sleep in during the day.
Love the vestibule, lots of space.
Only gripe is packing away and the typical how do they fit tents inside the original packaging scenario.
Great features: Ease of set up, weatherproof entry, quality materials, internal privacy windows, extra large bag, fantastic ventilation, internal pockets, lighting cord secures. Cons: zippers catch sometimes.
Used this tent for the first time Easter weekend. Set up - two minutes for tent, five minutes total with vestibule and pegged two people. The darkroom feature is great for a sleep in however without the windows open it can be very dark even in the daylight.
The black internal lining gets very hot in full sun (30c) and radiates heat. Have a Coleman Gold tent 10p it is cooler. A rainy day was no issue. Internal dimensions are smaller than Coleman advise as they use external measurements.
I brought this tent to make life easier when camping. I found that this tent is easy to put up and take down. I am impressed with the quality of the tent and the ease of use. During our trip we encountered 2 storms and it went through these well, considering it is a tent not a caravan it performed well.
It is dark in the tent when closed down which you need when in camping grounds with lights are on and when sunrise comes you are not woken by light. It has good ventilation with 2 good size windows and entry from both ends. You have a ...entry point for the electrical lead, and pockets around the tent to store small objects. In all this tent is heading in the right direction. We are planning another trip with this tent instead of towing a camper the extra payment to get a better quality tent should pay off with less petrol spent on towing a van. In all heading in right direction.
