Product has been changed for the worse
I had always liked this coffee. After Moccona changed their recipe and their regular coffee became undrinkable, this one became our staple. Last week, i noticed that it was tasting different and horrible. It has a horrible robusta smell now, which it didn't before. I looked on the label, and they had stopped putting '100% Arabica' on it, which they had on it before, and there had been no notice given on the label or anywhere. Now we will have to turn to other coffees and change again. I hope we don't have to give up on coffee altogether, but it...is not worth drinking when it tastes so disgusting. We are drinking our last jar of this ever. I am disgusted not only that this has been done but that it was done so slyly without informing customers.
Purchased in March 2020 at Coles for $4.00.
Questions & Answers
We changed from Moccona coffee to the Coles fair trade freeze dried coffee and were so pleased to find a decent coffee and for very little dollars. Now, we are totally disappointed as it appears to have disappeared off the shelves with not even a space for where it belongs. Has it suddenly become discontinued or hopefully, only in short supply because of popular demand? In appreciation of your reply, Jan Coorie. 0418293040
how much caffeine is contained in this coffee?
Not sure. One big spoon I can notice, two you’d get a buzz.
What is the intensity of this coffee?
In my opinion it’s the same intensity or strength as the old Moccona “5”, I consider it a mild intensity coffee.
