Nambour, the staff are just terrible people, makes me wonder what else they do to your food.
Most of the staff are awful. We prefer a particular local dairys milk (Cooloola), and its at a fair price for milk, about $2.50 a litre. Its the only Jersey milk anyway and I prefer that and we support local dairies and farmers. It matters to us, remember the whole Woolies and Coles crunching farmers to the wall, then blaming customers and adding that 10c tax to their brand cheap milk to appear concerned?
Milk bottles get an expiry every day they bottle it. Coles (and the IGA too) get deliveries of Cooloola Milk maybe twice a week, going off ...the expiry dates thats pretty close anyway. Most weeks, it doesnt matter what day I buy the milk, they only have two dates on them each week. Often Coles is out of it, and I have to go to the IGA 11km away. In fact I no longer bother with Coles and just skip straight to IGA as they rarely dont have it. But sometimes, rarely but at times, they have no stock, so I check Coles. Coles is the local store to me, and Id prefer to just get it there but its just so unreliable. Anyway, it seems the dairy only delivers to this part of the Sunshine Coast region twice a week. Its not daily anyway. So on Sunday the IGA was out, and I checked Coles and they had a single 1 litre. The next day I return to Coles and I ask (not the first time) staff when is best day for that milk. I can just buy more of it at a time if need be but I cant when its often not on shelf, and staff are reluctant to check for anything. So I ask a staff member can they find out whens the best day to buy, when does it come in I dont want to just keep coming in to check. Thats irresponsible during a pandemic, and poor customer service anytime.
Worst Click & Collect experience!
Do not Click & Collect from this Coles.
This was the worst Customer Experience we’ve ever had and unfortunately it relates to this Ramsgate Coles Store as well as their off-shore customer service team.
Our click and collect store personnel was 30 minutes late, despite telling us he would take 5 minutes. This store personnel then came out with only a few bags and indicated that “bags were missing” with no steps taken to identify the missing goods, replace the missing goods, or even to flag it on their system for a refund.
I noticed most of ou...r items were incorrect, we ordered cherries, they gave us red grapes. They also gave us 4 day expired Yoghurt. When we walked in to check, these items were in stock! Multiple items were missing from our order (also in stock in most cases) and we had to call customer services multiple times just to organise a refund (the calls disconnects and they don't call back). They never gave us any confirmation email or anything to indicate we were getting a refund for the missing items but the call was recorded. We waited another week and called back to get the same response.
Tassal salmon TOXIC
Farmed salmon in Tasmania is destroying waterways & polluting oceans. Tassal brand should not be stocked in your supermarket. It is being fed chemical soya fishmeal from overseas & chicken& animal remains which even turns the flesh of salmon grey so they dye it pink. It is Toxic to people & should be stopped immediately. DO NOT EAT THIS Please read a new book buy Richard Flanagan called TOXIC that explains salmon farming industry in Tasmania. Please do the right thing for our environment it is big companies that can stop this. It should not be about money. How can you advertise yourselves as fresh food people!!!!
CLOSURE of Meat dept with butchers. Help
Will now move back to butchers as Coles have put off all their fully trained
Butchers. Why train them up and then let them go?
We bought expensive meat and had great weekly help from the butcher
In Coles no matter which store
Cokes don’t even stay open on reduced trading hours
Coles Ramsgate Beach shut the doors early - advertised as 8:30pm (lockdown reduced hours). Security in the door claim they shot at 8:25pm despite Showing the lady my phone that was before 8:25pm . Coles are taking the profits & increasing prices while reducing service & hours. Sounds like the Banks.
Poor Customer Experience
Have decided to cancel my online Coles Account and transfer future purchases to Woolworths.
Placed an online order on Friday August 20th and at that time the only available delivery slot was Tuesday August 24th at 7-11pm. Four days in itself is not great but I understand it is probably a busy time for all supermarkets so can live with that.
Received an SMS at 6.30pm on August 24th advising delivery not possible due to operational issues. Surprisingly no new time slot was advised but phone number supplied for follow up.
Phoned on August 25th an...
Terrible Coles delivery service
Don't bother. We got a text late at night saying delivery truck had broken down (who knows if this is true). No one attempted to make contact with us to let us know when the order would be rescheduled for. When we chased it the following day, we were told that they can't deliver "due to covid". Um....that is exactly why they deliver, and we have been ordering from Coles regularly throughout lockdowns. After being on hold for thirty minutes we were told that the order cannot be re-delivered "due to covid" but that we could go and pick it up from the store if we wanted.
Crappy customer service, no apology or explanation. Just given the run around basically.
overall ok, but disappointed with Coles Pepperoni Salami
I shop regularly at Coles and Woolies. Overall, ok, but I bought the Coles brand Pepperoni Salami and I was incredibly disappointed: no taste whatsoever; it was pretty well mainly fat; there was very very little meat and totally tasteless. Really disappointed that they would put their name on such a poor quality product. I usually buy pepperoni salami, but first time I have bought the Coles brand. Will not do that again.

Close to expired meats.
This has happened several times now, you think I would learn but just don't expect it with such a big company like coles, I don't know if it is a local store thing or a general way of doing things, but I am constantly getting done with buying full price meat for the week, but several times especially with beef and lamb I have gotten home to realise the full price meat is actually a day off expiry and most of it has to end up going in the bin. This has happened more times than I care to mention from the Clarkson in W.A. I have chicken and salmon...that has a longer expirey than Gravy beef, lamb and pork that I paid full price for, all of it litually expires the day after purchase. so thanks again coles, in a time that people are doing it hard it is good to see that this store is on the ball with ripping ppl off. I also messaged the coles team with a reply of, the butchers of the store call the shots and too bad so sad attitude, so don't expect any type of help letting the main franchise know either lol
This whole idea of reviewing Coles as one is ridiculous considering all Coles are independent
But I can tell you this:
Coles Waterloo is without a doubt the worst Coles I have shopped at in Sydney because of their poor selection of brands, variety of items and customer service. They definitely need a new buyer.
Coles Zetland comes second LAST because of their bad customer service on every level and I shop their regularly. Staff don't know where anything is and when I tried to purchase twice a discounted item, the cashier [Name Removed] told me it wasn't recognized on her computer and just looked at me like TOO BAD, and I could not help but wonder why she thought that was my problem and why she couldn't just input herself duhhhh
Disappointed with the lack of Good Marketing, Concern or Customer Services
Almost 3 weeks ago while shopping in the Coles Supermarket in Williamstown, VIC, I was surprised and rather shocked to see the number of people that were entering the store and shopping without checking in with the QR code and walking around the store not wearing a mask. Besides staff people working hard, there was no one available to chat with to voice a concern. After chatting with several customers it was clear to me that something needed to be done to protect customers from those who obviously don't care about the health of others. It's not...the responsibility of staff members to monitor people at the the risk of being punched in the face. A few months ago a shopper said to a young man that he should be wearing a mask. She ended on the floor after he punched her in the face and ran out of the store. Two weeks ago I decided to send a note to Coles to inquire if they had considered hiring a security person to make sure that safety rules are being followed by all shoppers entering the store. It's an easy process of scanning the QR code and wearing a mask, or the right to stay home and not shop. To my surprise, no response. I wrote another inquiry a week ago and still no response, except a computer message that says, message was received and someone will get back to you in 24 to 48 hours. Well, that's a lie. I am disappointed if this is the way business is conducted on the top level. It says a lot about their marketing and lack of interest in customers. As a result, I no longer have interest in shopping at an unsafe establishment that cares nothing about their customers or inquiries. Obviously, the corporate leaders don't shop at Coles or visit the local staff. If you have had negative experiences with Coles, please write a review of their services -- try reaching out to them, not that it will do any good and start telling everyone what a horrible establishment it is until they are ready to take action in caring about customers instead of only about making money. Maybe they will care more when all the customers are sick with COVID and dead and there will be no profit to make. I am disgusted if this is the way management operates. Spread the word, let's make them do the right thing in protecting the customers.
Coles Bakery Apple Crumble needs a new recipe
I ordered my groceries via online for home delivery. Great service - highly recommend if you cannot get out and about. Substitutes are AOK in my profile. I did select a treat for my family being the Coles Bakery Cinnamon Log. It was unavailable and I received the substitute being Coles Bakery Apple Crumble. Maybe not a good choice. It had a funky taste and although it was baked today, the recipe needs tweaking for me to ever have this one again. On a scale of one to 10, the price of $4 was fair (6), the freshness of the product was great (9), ...but the taste (1). Sorry Coles. You will have to work harder on this one. From the first bite it left a horrible aftertaste. If we were not in a lockdown, I would be returning this one back to the store.
frozen blueberries 500g up from $4 to $5, that's an increase of 25%; it gets worse, frozen raspberries 500g up from $4 to $6, that"s an increase of "50%", Aldi 500g all frozen frozen berries 500g $3.69; SHAME on you Coles, the community is experiencing an economic and social crisis, or have you forgotten that.
$10 compensation for $240 worth of damage!!
I was visiting the Brighton Le Sands store a few weeks ago, and when attempting to maneuver around some product that had been stacked in the aisle I knocked over a carton of cans, which spilled everywhere. After I picked them up, they fell once again, thus knocking over the jar of tartare sauce I had rested on the display. That broke splattered all over the store. Now there is a greasy stain on my $240 pair of suede shoes! I contacted Head Office to complain and they offered to send me a gift card as compensation. I didn't expect very much, but...I thought it might be between $25-50. So, you can imagine my shock when I opened the letter to find a gift card worth a whopping $10. This company makes millions of dollars a year, and they can't even be bothered to pretend to care about a loyal customer!
Promotions that are not stocked
After almost a month of chasing up their Masterchef promotion to try and find stock I have now been told that they have some at head office but I don’t have enough points.
If you run out of stock please stop allowing us to accumulate points and run special bonus points for items we can never receive.
Have been in contact through messenger with automatic responses.
Click, pay, wait, wait, wait and don't collect
On Tuesday 27 July 2021 I left work early to pick up an order - Click and Collect from Forestville Coles on behalf of my daughter who was in COVID Isolation. After a short wait I was given the order and returned home only to find half the order was missing. We were told to pop back and grab the outstanding items. 45 minutes later I got the items only to return home and find fruit was still missing. Tried the online complaints form without success. Realllly annoying.
Scanners dont work
The scanners at coles dont work.
On check out when your rushing to get out of the store during covid the check out assistants dont allow you to use another scanner if your self checkout machine is playing up.
You have to scan each thing 3 times for it to pick/ weigh the weight.
You forget where you are with the scanning!
There are less check out people to assist your forced to self check out after a hard days work as it is then do their job scanning your stuff !!
No product is marked down will not use them again.
We dont have time to haggle around till you fix your scanners.
Chicken chips from Tasty Food Co.
Bought tasty food co. Chicken chips 1kg. With ciabatta crumb. Very disappointed..all crumb with very, very little chicken. I would never buy this again.
Covid rules don't apply
During Sydney's covid lockdown (July 2021) there's been a rule that only 1 person per household may go out to do the shopping. Coles doesn't worry about this rule. So if you want to shop as a couple or as a family, this is the place to go. You don't even need to check in either.
Yuk, horrible taste
Purchased Taste traders Thai red crackers today. They taste absolutely revolting and I will never buy again nor chance the other flavours.
Quick & easy til I opened the packet.
Have purchased these before but wont ever again..
It smelt so bad and looked not good. The expiry was next year (2022)

Coles brand french cheesecake is disgusting taste like poison. My kids and I love cheesecake but that coles brand is revolting.
Leaves a chemical taste in our mouths.
The worst cheesecakes we've ever tasted.

It's advertised that on all orders over $100 dollars have free delivery but it's a LIE because I have been charge a delivery fee of $8 which my shopping online for groceries amounted to $168 dollars. I'm disappointed not about the money but the loyalty, I'm a coles shopper...
Terrible customer service Merrylands’s coles
I had bought a product that was expired, this was my error not seeing the date . I called coles Merrylands’s number of times but no answer till 7pm tried for 4 hrs on and off as I wanted to return the product. due to covid return protocol I m. Unsure . I find this very disappointing as number of attempts no calls were answered . Well this product states best before 16/7/21 and I bought it on 15 th so to my knowledge it’s expired. I can’t consume expired food due to health issues and I paid full price.
