Early morning stale bread
Coles Karingal
I brought bread this morning at 8.30am and the bread was stale. This is not a one off. Their bread is always stale. I also brought shredded cheese which was mouldy. Something needs to be done because it is giving Coles a bad name.

Disappointing
Coles Chicken sausages with Sage and Thyme, very disappointing, thought these would taste great but no chicken taste at all, overpowered by the sage with a bitter flavour and can't taste the thyme. Sage is far too strong for chicken. Please don't make anymore, just use thyme.

Coles Miami Gold Coast
I will never be going back to Coles Miami ever again. I’ve been a regular customer since it opened and have had some questionable customer service, but always thought maybe the staff member was having a bad day and forgot about it. Well today I had money stolen. When I was purchasing my goods through self serve, I also withdraw money and someone stole it. The security cameras verified what happened. The manager of the store Ben handed me a piece of paper with a Coles customer service phone number on it , for me to phone. That’s it! I will neve...
Read morer shop at Coles again unless they rectify this. I shop every day and I will take my shopping to Woolworths. I also will let everyone I know about this store and ask them to also boycott Coles. It was so insulting to me that I could be so poorly treated, when they saw on security footage what happenedFind out how Coles Supermarkets compares to other Supermarkets

Who Do You Customers Think You Are !
Close to 4pm today. One checkout open plus what used to be called the 'Fast Lane' until people collapsed in laughter and were blocking the aisle. Several very full trolleys waiting. So we waited, others customers and I. And continued waiting. A male dressed in Coles attire was meandering around and a very well put-together woman behind me finally went to him to ask if he would call (on his walkie talkie) for another check-out (at least) to be opened. The Coles-male replied, ' I can only do one thing at once, not three '. Then with a big ...
Read moreshow of teeth (not friendliness, more of an 'up your bum' grin) he strolled off to do a price-check or something (who knows?). Several of us raised our eyebrows to each other. What was the priority from the point of view of anyone with average intelligence (a) call for another check-out to be opened in order many hundreds of dollars in groceries be sold or (b) meander off with an arrogant smirk to do a price check on one item? A call to open a check-out would have taken the same length of time as it took him to give us his snotty response, THEN he could have conducted the price check. But no, he left many hundreds of dollars sitting in a queue. After several minutes, he was spotted, having a nice long chat with someone at the other end of the store So, the same woman as before asked the check-out operator in the old laughably named Fast-Lane and asked for the manager. In due time, up walked a male in a yellow vest. He could have been the fruit and veg deliver or the cleaner, who knows. The woman asked if he was the manager and he said yes, he was. So she asked for another check-out to be opened and said we'd already asked once and been left in the dirt by Price-Check Man People with full trolleys were still waiting in line, as was I. The 'manager' said no, it wasn't the time to open another lane. The woman said in very reasonable tone of voice that at this time in the afternoon, the store was very busy and as proof, she gestured to those still waiting with their filled trolleys. Yellow-vest the Manager cut her off, looked at his watch and said no further lanes would be open until 4 pm. The lady said it was almost four now and clearly we were being subjected to very lengthy waits. Yellow Vest the Manager walked off, leaving customers to continue waiting with packed trolleys Does Coles have a bad case of Customer-Hate? Is it a top-down philosophy? Are Coles managers and staff trained to treat customers like dirt as a matter of Coles policy? Is this to soften us up to adapt to the ' You Will Have Nothing and You Will Be Happy' agenda we're told is our future?pradeep chandakCentral Highlands and Goldfields, VIC

Shocking Services and no feedback from Coles
Shopping Dated 22 January and no response from coles.
After shopping I did self-checkout and Put $20 in the dispenser and waiting for the change as $10 were short from the dispenser, Two staff came to me and asked what’s happening? I was looking at the machine in stress as a $10 note was missing, Luckily, I saw a glimpse of the $10 note and showed them it was stuck in the machine. They opened the machine, and the $10 note was torn. I requested them to get the note exchanged, but instead, the staff was rude “You go to the counter and get it yo...
Read moreurself” I requested the standing staff as they refused to help. I insisted, it's not my fault, and a torn note came from the machine. I was told that's not their problem rudely and was told to join the checkout counter in the queue. I requested a checkout operator to exchange the $10. He was confused and refused to exchange the note. I have explained to him that it was a self-checkout dispenser note. I was stressed out and wanted to speak to the manager, about the issue. I got different managers, blaming Armguard company, myself going to the wrong counter. Most arrogant and rude staff blaming each other and not willing to help and no response from Coles yet. My complaint to Coles is 1. I have no idea about Armguard, and how come staff member blame them when I am shopping at Coles 2. I was blamed that I went to the wrong person after standing in a queue. How do I know where to go or which person. Do I work in Coles? 3. Each person was claiming themselves manager and neither coles nor store resolved my issue. Used to be good
I have lodged a complaint with Coles feedback service which so far has being a waste of time. The complaints area claim they have contacted the regional manager who was suppose to contact the manager of the store but after 4 days, the manager of the store claims he hasnt had a complaint coming from from head office. (very strange indeed). The air conditioning doesn't work at my local Coles and despite many calls they will not fix it. In a humid and hot climate such as Brisbane this isnt acceptable. I spend $400.00 per week and I even even noticed the mince isn't as good quality anymore. I have changed to Woolworths who are far superior in everyway

Unreliable
Chicken breast stunk - purchased at Hawthorn store. Seven days before listed expiry date. This has happened to me before at the same store. Has anyone experienced this? The store looks nice though.

Rude and obnoxious
Checked a price with a staff member - then charged a different price at checkout - original staff member then refused to tell checkouts the price because she was finishing. Then called a liar at the checkouts - toss in covid restrictions when buying for disabled family member and items removed from basket and you get an unacceptable shopping experience.

Unfair MasterChef Knife promotions being run, poor customer treatment
They ran a promotion where you could get a MasterChef Knife if you spent a certain amount of money. That promotion was meant to run until early February and in the middle of January, I had accumulated enough points to get this knife, which I was very excited for.
They were fully claimed in virtually all Coles supermarkets by that time, a good few weeks before the promotion was over. Coles also said they could not do anything for me, such as allow me to claim a knife that would need higher points for or really just do anything else to express t...
Read moreheir apology over this. I also specifically requested a phone call back in my email to customer service and they never called, just sent an email reply to say we can't do anything. They did have a term saying while stocks last in the terms and conditions but that was very poorly advertised as well.ChrisSouth East Queensland, QLD

Out of date again!
Thanks again Coles at Southport Park! Purchased today , 1-2-21 but noticed when about to cook tonight it's use by date is 31-1-21. Typical of both Coles stores near me. Often out of date "not fresh" meat and vegetables. I usually collect the out of date bags of salad and drop them off to an employee who always says there are never enough staff to maintain the shelves. Should have checked the meat though as you can't rely on it being fresh.
Disappointed but not surprised
Don’t expect much customer service from Coles it doesn’t exist! I’m just hoping Aldi increases their range so I can leave Coles . Even IGA fruits are getting better and prices so I’ll definitely be putting my money towards a company that treats there customers right! Hopefully others will do it too?! Soon things will go back to normal and then, maybe then customers will spend wisely with company's that care?! Maybe then arrogant Coles will try harder to help rather then ignore

KITCHEN KNIFE PROMOTION
Shopped at Coles and when we had enough credit surprise, surprise Coles has no stock of the knives. What really annoyed us off is Coles does not care, just say well we only got so much stock. Shame Shame Shame!

20 points for a free knife promotion.
I was disappointed as they run out of knives long before the promo finished. I went a few times and still no stock.

tastless ready meals DO NOT BUY!
We decided to try Coles branded Ready meals, well I understad that 7$ you cannot expect much, but come on, then raise the price instead of selling rubbish!! I would prefer pay 15$ for a tasty fresh meal than 7$ and have to ruin the dinner! We bougt the following:
- Chicken fried rice: this was the best, overall eatable, just need more protein in there and taste.
- Spaghetti carbonara: Please change the name, this is not even similar to a carbonara, completely flavourless, pasta was overcooked to mash, they using for sure egg powder mixed with...
Yummy, Coles Tropical Snapper fillets
Sounded delicious, looks can, and in this case were definitely deceiving.
$12 for 250 grams of tasteless rubber substitute.
This is by far the worst fish I've ever tasted.
Surely Carp tastes better than this crap.

Coles in Decline.
Coles closed our delicatessen and replaced it with pre-packaged plastic items. Certainly more expensive. Chicken is now more $2 more expensive if you buy 2 breasts instead of four. You must buy 4 sticks of cabanossi etc. Pre- packaged capsicum $24 a kilo lol! Many staples have recently been replaced with trendy niche products e.g. can't buy pears and peaches in cans from Australia or grapefruit juice without sugar. I try to avoid wherever possible. Woolies and Aldi now far superior.
Absolutely disgusting- do not go
Went in during mandatory mask season, had no issues going in before however one night I went in and had two ladies harass me as to why I am not wearing a mask... I had informed them I am exempt however they started saying that’s not good enough and I needed to provide evidence... I was well aware of the qld law so I had told them you are not required to show in qld... however they did not listen continue to harass me saying I need one if I want to go into that store... it was already really late and I needed to do my shopping so I asked if I co...
Read moreuld still do my shopping I had no issues coming in before, however they both bullied me into wearing a mask for my shopping trip and when I got home my breathing got difficult and I encountered a lot of mental stress and anxiety. These people have no problem violating your rights and they will happily do so. They need to advertise they will do this so no one will shop there. I am absolutely disgusted and furious and will never shop there again and hopefully no one else tries to support them again as they certainly don’t support the people.Absolute rubbish Coles Red Salmon
Very poor quality Alaskan salmon that is canned in Thailand. Lots of slimey skin and dark meat. The colour is more brownish than red and the taste is disgusting and nothing like red salmon should be.
