Sinew galore.
My wife cooked us lamb loin chops. They should advertise them as lamb sinew cc hop and not lamb loin chops. Out of three chops, I thrown out the equivelant of one and a half chops, and I am being kind with the portion thrown out. Coles to me is engaging in false advertising when they advertise their meats. I told my wife to dump Coles completely because this is not the first time she bought meat from Coles and it was the same full of sinew chops. I would say the chops are not fit to feed to a dog no matter for human consumption.

20 points for a free knife promotion.
I was disappointed as they run out of knives long before the promo finished. I went a few times and still no stock.

Knife disappointment
Have knife points but the smaller knives unavailable for weeks. Promotion still ongoing. Rang everywhere but disappointed, only large knives.

Rude Staff
On 15 Jan 2021 at 1200 h noon, I was using the self-checkout at the Coles Store at Stanhope Gardens. After paying by cash I did not receive a receipt and sought the assistance of the attendant on duty (an elderly lady). She mentioned that if my bill was less than $30 I needed to respond to the pop-up query and state 'yes' when asked if I needed to print a receipt. I mentioned that my bill amount was in excess of $30 and that I did not see any prompt for the receipt. She said, 'Yes, you did', to which I responded, 'No there was no such prompt'. ...
Read moreShe again repeated, 'Yes you did' and got my same response. This unnecessary exchange went on for a couple of times. She told me I was very rude before she accessed the printer and observed that there was a paper jam and several old receipts that were not released. I drew her attention to this and mentioned that the reason for the print function not working was indeed the paper jam and not my lack of response. Again she mentioned that I was very rude and grudgingly completed the process of providing me with the receipt, which she handed me in a very discourteous manner.GaryGeelong

Self checkout issue
I'm beginning to have doubts as to the accuracy of the self checkouts at Coles supermarkets. Recently while using the system i noticed an additional $100 had been added to the total. I wonder how many times smaller amounts are inadvertently added and go unnoticed by shoppers.

Very Runny Rissotto
Unfortunately, Coles has skimped on the main two ingredients; Rice & Pumpkin!
Considering that rice is a cheap “filler” food to buy and Pumpkin is relatively inexpensive also, it is a pity they couldn’t have been a bit more generous with the quantities of these two staple ingredients that they are using in their risotto recipe (especially the rice).
Very runny, almost like a thick soup consistently, which is a shame, as the flavour is quite nice. But it is not filling and nothing like risotto. It does not improve with letting it sit for a couple of minutes after heating.
I will not be buying this again.

New checkout arrangement
Coles has recently changed layout of checkout, so all the groceries are pushed down and so you are frantically trying to put groceries in bag and it piles up, plus what happened to checkout people helping out groceries in bag

It's why I shop at Woolworths
I don't believe in letting "points" rule my life. I shop mostly using Woolworth rewards; it comes as a pleasant surprise when I am asked if I want to redeem the $10 I have accumulated. A million percent more pleasant that the 20 minutes I just spent on line before finally redeeming some the Coles wretched Fly Buys I accumulated over the last two years. T'was compromised by them having two separate email addresses for me, one of them defunct 10 years ago. To change this I have to "pair my app". I have a senior citizens' phone. What's an ap...
Read morep? Perhaps I could suggest a return to the old way of asking at checkout about redeeming, BUT, who do I suggest it to? Perhaps the genius who labels an isle BAKING when there is no flour or baking powder (utensils yes, but these are for COOKING.) 'bet the manager is a man, probably the same man who ordered 108 pairs of nutcrackers and no butter curlers for Christmas. I suppose I could front up to the reception desk but all they will do is shove a suggestion card on me and tell me to go on line. In other words, I do the work. Coles drips with hostility towards pensioners like me. So many of us hate being channeled to computers; and all those yellow "2 for $X" offers are no good to us, sitting on our lonesomes, trying to eat two avocados, two packs of herbs or, god help me, 2 Toblerones. Time to step out from behind the office keyboards chaps and walk the floor. If you have the courage.Find out how Coles Supermarkets compares to other Supermarkets

Fruit
Stoned fruit from my coles shop always turns bad from inside out within 2 days of purchase I am continually disappointed with fruit from coles and will be buying elsewhere because I am not happy having to throw fruit out not to mention the waste of money.

Rainbow cake disappointment
We usually buy rainbow cake for the icing, so smooth, silky and creamy. This time frosting is very sugary and more like the one that comes with bake it yourself package. Full priced, but changed recipe. Never buying it again. Coomera Westfield store.
Ultimate Apple Pie chips
I acquired a bag in a Xmas hamper and I was sceptical but curious. Opened the bag for my kids and tried 3 chips. Lo and behold I didn't detect any hint of apple pie whatsoever. They tasted like chips! Moral of the story. Don't be fooled by marketing propaganda. Chips are chips. End of.

Mobile coverage.
Why is it that everytime i am in coles my mobile coverage disappears. The only time time I can get coverage is when I walk out of the store. Is coles purposely blocking our mobile data to force us to sign up to their wifi?
Concerned long term customer
I have been a loyal Cole’s customer for the last twenty years and all in all I have been happy with every shopping experience I’ve had.
However this year in particular I have noticed price hikes in almost every item I buy. I easily notice it because I buy the same items every week. In the last fortnight I noticed again significant price rise. Well I now have had enough I decided to shop at Aldi today and found similar items cheaper. I also stopped buying meat from Coles the meat is not only expensive but also of sud-standard quality. The last...
Read more time (6 months ago) I bought meat it was inedible. In conclusion it doesn’t pay to be loyal especially when in bad times Coles is gouging customers and selling sub-standard meat at high prices. Disappointed customerIncorrect price when scanning
Have you ever scanned an item and the amount charged is less than the ticket price? I think not. Have you scanned an item on special and be charged the normal ticket price? Multiple times. This happens WAY too often for it to be a mistake. Coles are a bunch of frauds. The item should be given free if it scans at the incorrect price.

iPhone 7 Deal
I have been trying to hunt down a Refurbished iPhone 7, which Coles and Boost Mobile teamed up to offer at $258. Its a $50 saving on the regular price , which sounds better than a %15 discount.
I have visited approximately 30 stores which all had something in common: They had already sold the stock.
On my 1st visit i was told "Come early in the morning as we get new stock each day". the following is a list of the evolving information i have been told along the way.
"No, no , they didn't come in today. Maybe try tomorrow. I'm also trying to...

There is a reason they call sliced bread the best invention
I have had many of these experiences with their $6.00 sourdough baked bread. It is rarely sliced all the way through. small problem yes, and usually I can break the slices apart with my fingers through the packet. Today I had to remove the loaf, get a bread knife and slice my way through ¾ of the pack, top and bottom. Not good enough Coles.

I am not impressed with Coles.
I find that my local Coles at Morisset is often without products I want. Last week it was Coles chocolate bavarian. They seem to have cancelled Liddells skim milk altogether. I find it better to shop at Woolworths where the products I want are always there and anyway Woolworths chocolate bavarian tastes richer.
