Bought Cole's Frozen Brussels Sprouts however they were worse than seconds, some were brown, some black leaves or pest affected I did not .. well as yet have the problem with Woolworth's, however I suspect maybe the same supplier. I will return for refund on Monday.

Ok sometimes, bad other times

published

Coles sometimes had good discounts compared to Woolies. However last time I bought some "fresh" snapper there and it turned out not that fresh, so I would never buy seafood from Coles again.

No conventional oven instructions

published

My local Coles super recently added 2 types VEGAN curries with COLES brand name, but ...
Cooking instructions on packets are only for microwaves, nothing for conventional ovens.
And too many vegetarians do not like microwaves.
So anyone who uses normal ovens does not know how to cook.
Who has the experience that microwave cooking kills too many products, eg. anything with a pastry content?

Average choice for International products

published

One of the best in Australia. Average range of products. No doubt you get good Australian fresh products. Decent staff. Average selection for International products unlike WALMART, ASDA & ALDI, you have so many choice for International products. That is something which COLES should look into since Australia is becoming a very multi cultural society.

Rude staff member at Coles Jimboomba

published

I have always preferred Coles than any other for groceries. But yesterday was different. Went into coles at 6 pm , buy groceries and asked for cashout $300. Instead of just saying that they dont have enough cash, the lady on the counter was very rude and told me that this is coles and its not a bank.
And then she started looking at other team member who was on my back as if i am trying to rob them.
I guess she needs retraining in customer service.

Great

published

Great customer services at times, very friendly. The only thing is the bag rack needs to be put higher so the workers don’t have to bend and hurt their back.

Self Serve Checkouts Need Modification

published

To use own bag, you put it on the tray, immediately you need authorisation. The tray is so small that it is still set up for single plastic bag only. Need more space and more flat surface to put your own bag. I needed to wait twice for assistant to authorise, too many people needed assistance. Needs to be fixed.

Review of coles chicken Singapore noodles

It needed chillie it was too bland. Everything else was good but with chillies it would be much more tasty.

I am finding your fresh meat is full of water I bought leg of lamb end when it was cooked I only had half the meat the rest was all water in the pan I have noticed this a lot lately and have gone back to the local butcher I don’t like cryavac meat as it doesn’t taste very nice thank you

New but definitely not improved lamb shanks

published

Normally we love the slow cooked lamb shanks but today I purchased your new and improved slow cooked lamb shanks. I bought a couple of packets and had one of older packets, upon opening them you could see the new packets compared to the old ones had more fat worst part of it though when cooked the new ones were very sour not nice at all. Normally I would recommend the shanks as quick easy and tasty but I definitely wouldn't be recommending these new ones. I only hope you go back to the old recipe otherwise I won't be buying them ever again

Nothing like their recipe on MKR

published

I purchased Nic and Josh's Italian chocolate hazelnut gelato. Nothing like it was presented on the show. Couldn't believe it contained gluten (wheat). Obviously used as a filler. Real ice cream doesn't need fillers and as a coeliac sufferer, not impressed. Also after being opened and put back in the freezer, it became quite icy. Overpriced for a product that didn't deliver on its promise.

Coles bread has become disappointing

published

We used to love Coles fruit loaf and the Sourdough Vienna. In the last few months they both taste different and the dough seems uncooked inside. I have been told by staff members that they changed their recipes and that they get frozen dough in their stores.

Hooked on Profits and not customers

published

As the price of living goes up, people are looking to cut costs any way they can. The introduction of Aldi was the best thing that s happened for consumers. Funny how Aldi can run at a good profit and yet Coles are whinging regardless of their higher than Aldi prices. Shame on Coles passing the cuts to suppliers. Too busy trying to appease their shareholders? The customer service is fantastic. I love the checkout people at Broadway. Some have been there from the opening. It has reasonable variety of products but discontinue regularly.

Increase of prices

published

I love shopping at coles due to the flybuys rewards. But have to say that since january 2018 there are a big increase of prices and not much special. Coles water (24×600 ml ) went up by 2$ , meat is way over pricing and i realised lately that the weigh actually included the packaging (lamb and steak) what shouldn t be. Some stores have a good customer service and some not.

My husband purchased 2 bottles of Coles tomato paste made in China as I avoid any item of food from China I asked him to take it back and get the tomato paste made in Italy that I always buy it is about $1.30 more and he was told their policy is no returns . He was not asking for a credit just an exchange. This was at Charlestown.
