- Coles Supermarkets
Great supermarkets near me
My local store looks inviting and very neat. The checkout staff are always very polite and happy to help. I wish the app was better and able to shop online from the app.
Convenient, but expensive
Coles is dearer than Woolies / Aldi, also not as fresh, but I live next door to Coles so I only go for the convenience, staff are in their own little world, not helpful, don't know anything.
Clean, wide aisles, great range, fresh inviting produce
I love Coles more than any other supermarket. Baskets are always clean. The store is always inviting and clean, a fabulous and fresh range of produce. Great range of products. Slowly seeing more sales come back on regular food items, rather than on junk food.
Good Bakery products at good prices
Coles 4 pack of individual serves of Turkish Rolls are perfect for sandwiches and extra tasty in sandwich press with cheese and ham - fantastic flavour and only $2.70 a pack. Also, the fresh-baked Portuguese tarts in 2 packs at $3 are perfect with a coffee!
After shopping with Coles for years I decided to trial Woolworths online & couldn’t believe the price difference, both stores are in the same town & these price differences can add up to A LOT. Today I decided to shop at Coles again & my bill was $100 more!!
Coles supermarkets are amazing especially through these struggles with corona. There workers are constantly working on helping us through this time. The other day I went in and there was a line. While waiting in this line I noticed that they are putting themselves at risk in order to help us.
Only supermarket in town
Found the staff are really helpful especially now during the virus slowdown. Shelf stock is limited but enough to survive on, you can see the variety once you go into a bigger store.
Not Coles fault but they need to be aware.
Drinking from bottled water from pack.
A couple of weeks ago and a pink rubbery substance went in my mouth. Bought from Gungahlin ACT
Newspaper article today 6/5/2020 printed about a customer experiencing the same thing.
Check before drinking
Scotch fillet steak
Usually buy our meat from woolworths. The last two weeks we have tried your scotch fillet steaks. Nice marbling and so tender. Woolworths will need to lift their game!! .impressed. Will certainly come back.
I’ve noticed that packs of plain sausages are so very salty ,
so much so they are almost
I shop at coles umina.
My sister shops at coles Ballina & has experienced the same extra salty sausages.
I can always find what I need at coles and at a low price too! the people that work there are always eager to help, plus they have brought out new hygienic practices! would recommend coles to anyone.
Self checkouts the worst of the supermarkets, "stone baked" bakeries the best of the supermarkets
- Stores with the "stone baked" sourdough bakery products. Finally some bread that's worth eating unlike the usual boring-white-bread-only culprits of Woolworths, Bakers Delight, Brumby's, etc.
- Logical floor layouts (pantry "basic" items grouped together followed by pantry "junk food" items grouped together followed by laundry items grouped together, etc).
- Self checkout experience is frustrating due to the requirement to weigh each item scanned (Woolworths doesn't have this problem). For smaller convenience/city stores I'd rather shop at Woolworths if available nearby for this reason alone.
- EFPTOS cash out limits at self checkouts are capped too low (Woolworths is better).
- Coin operated trolleys.
Don’t be rude
Well I went to Coles in Chirnside Park one early morning when this coronavirus was on and this was before when you had to pack your own bags i was in the express lane finished my payment and was waiting for this older lady to pack my bags and i said to her well aren’t you going to pack the bag she said oh for goodness sake there’s a crisis on and your worried about your bag being packed i said that’s terrible that’s your job you’re supposed to pack the bag and with that i walked away saying and don’t be so rude
Local and Well Stocked
I'm a fan. So close and well stocked and they have everything I need. I understand that they take business away from some of the smaller local companies which is a shame and I definitely recommend everyone to support local businesses. I always get other items from my local grocer, butcher, health store, etc but for everyday convenience Coles do a great job
Dealing with corona virus
I think that coles has dealt with corona virus extremely well considering the pandemic. The staff treat you with respect regardless of being abused and treated horribly by customers all day. The stocks of products are back to "normal" due to the excellent managment.
Really good staff and service
I have been to this store many times as it is my local supermarket.
The staff have always been polite and helpful. Fresh food is good and overall well stocked store wide.
Occasionally there are some wait times at the ciggie counter and check out but that is the same at every supermarket, it's just a matter of picking your time if you can.
I'll keep coming back while it is this good.
P.S. Ordered online thru the main site and was disappointed. Free shipping for order over $100 so I ordered bigger than I normally (over $150 worth) to avoid the $8 delivery charge, lining up and haulage. They delivered about $80 dollars of the order and still charged for delivery. Won't do that again unless absolutely necessary.

Nice produce department, sometimes hard to find things, thumbs up for self-checkout, good customer service. Glad they are limiting toilet paper rolls to one per person now with the virus outbreak.
During the corona virus they have helped people out with the toilet paper roll issue by placing a 1 person per roll restriction which was helpful to get some. They are friendly and helpful
Reserve road upper coomera
Love the staff here they all bend over backwards to assist. Always have a smile. Very clean shelves filling or filled except toilet papaws right now lol. Love this place changed from Woolworths
easy to navigate shop
online shopping is a little hard to navigate but good once u get the hang of it if u dont like physically doing main grocery shop especially with children in tow, good to go in if just getting a couple of things
Overall decent service, some times long wait in to our local one, also lot of products get out of stock, have to ask operator for stocking, self service is pretty good
Product review: five tastes stir fry shots
Omg, family four just coyly not eat the meal after I added this, no salt was used throughout the process, because I know that these additives are loaded with them...well coriander/ lime added my meal uneatable ...not fare to market a flavor, which actually isn’t present ! It was @salt that’s all

Good to pick up some things for a weekly shop but the prices in particular for the fruit and veges are ridiculous! Aldi is much more cheaper. Also in the stores, aisles are narrow, items you want are never in stock, its been like this for years across the board.
Coles Tooronga is great
Clean and organised, perhaps because it is right next to the headquarters. This is my number one go to place to buy groceries. Prices are OK and discounts (1/2 price, etc...) are real.
Great service and it’s very easy to find what you need in store. The staff are lovely and everyone will help you if you need to find something in the store
