Close to expired meats.
This has happened several times now, you think I would learn but just don't expect it with such a big company like coles, I don't know if it is a local store thing or a general way of doing things, but I am constantly getting done with buying full price meat for the week, but several times especially with beef and lamb I have gotten home to realise the full price meat is actually a day off expiry and most of it has to end up going in the bin. This has happened more times than I care to mention from the Clarkson in W.A. I have chicken and salmon...that has a longer expirey than Gravy beef, lamb and pork that I paid full price for, all of it litually expires the day after purchase. so thanks again coles, in a time that people are doing it hard it is good to see that this store is on the ball with ripping ppl off. I also messaged the coles team with a reply of, the butchers of the store call the shots and too bad so sad attitude, so don't expect any type of help letting the main franchise know either lol
Disappointed with the lack of Good Marketing, Concern or Customer Services
Almost 3 weeks ago while shopping in the Coles Supermarket in Williamstown, VIC, I was surprised and rather shocked to see the number of people that were entering the store and shopping without checking in with the QR code and walking around the store not wearing a mask. Besides staff people working hard, there was no one available to chat with to voice a concern. After chatting with several customers it was clear to me that something needed to be done to protect customers from those who obviously don't care about the health of others. It's not...the responsibility of staff members to monitor people at the the risk of being punched in the face. A few months ago a shopper said to a young man that he should be wearing a mask. She ended on the floor after he punched her in the face and ran out of the store. Two weeks ago I decided to send a note to Coles to inquire if they had considered hiring a security person to make sure that safety rules are being followed by all shoppers entering the store. It's an easy process of scanning the QR code and wearing a mask, or the right to stay home and not shop. To my surprise, no response. I wrote another inquiry a week ago and still no response, except a computer message that says, message was received and someone will get back to you in 24 to 48 hours. Well, that's a lie. I am disappointed if this is the way business is conducted on the top level. It says a lot about their marketing and lack of interest in customers. As a result, I no longer have interest in shopping at an unsafe establishment that cares nothing about their customers or inquiries. Obviously, the corporate leaders don't shop at Coles or visit the local staff. If you have had negative experiences with Coles, please write a review of their services -- try reaching out to them, not that it will do any good and start telling everyone what a horrible establishment it is until they are ready to take action in caring about customers instead of only about making money. Maybe they will care more when all the customers are sick with COVID and dead and there will be no profit to make. I am disgusted if this is the way management operates. Spread the word, let's make them do the right thing in protecting the customers.
Coles Bakery Apple Crumble needs a new recipe
I ordered my groceries via online for home delivery. Great service - highly recommend if you cannot get out and about. Substitutes are AOK in my profile. I did select a treat for my family being the Coles Bakery Cinnamon Log. It was unavailable and I received the substitute being Coles Bakery Apple Crumble. Maybe not a good choice. It had a funky taste and although it was baked today, the recipe needs tweaking for me to ever have this one again. On a scale of one to 10, the price of $4 was fair (6), the freshness of the product was great (9), ...but the taste (1). Sorry Coles. You will have to work harder on this one. From the first bite it left a horrible aftertaste. If we were not in a lockdown, I would be returning this one back to the store.
Coles is my favourite store for groceries, they are noticeably cheaper than other supermarkets on a lot of products.
Their gluten free range of biscuits and treats is varied and there is always something new.
Their own brand gluten free pies are superior to all others that I have tried.
At my Coles they always have a lot of people manning the checkouts,I have never felt obligated to use the self serve… the aisles are wide and easy to get around quickly.
At times I have to shop online and have found the website incredibly easy to use.
$10 compensation for $240 worth of damage!!
I was visiting the Brighton Le Sands store a few weeks ago, and when attempting to maneuver around some product that had been stacked in the aisle I knocked over a carton of cans, which spilled everywhere. After I picked them up, they fell once again, thus knocking over the jar of tartare sauce I had rested on the display. That broke splattered all over the store. Now there is a greasy stain on my $240 pair of suede shoes! I contacted Head Office to complain and they offered to send me a gift card as compensation. I didn't expect very much, but...I thought it might be between $25-50. So, you can imagine my shock when I opened the letter to find a gift card worth a whopping $10. This company makes millions of dollars a year, and they can't even be bothered to pretend to care about a loyal customer!
Promotions that are not stocked
After almost a month of chasing up their Masterchef promotion to try and find stock I have now been told that they have some at head office but I don’t have enough points.
If you run out of stock please stop allowing us to accumulate points and run special bonus points for items we can never receive.
Have been in contact through messenger with automatic responses.
Excellent customer service
It was extremely nice of Matt to replace the Pork Shoulder Boneless this afternoon since it definitely wasn't in the bag when I bought it yesterday afternoon.
Click, pay, wait, wait, wait and don't collect
On Tuesday 27 July 2021 I left work early to pick up an order - Click and Collect from Forestville Coles on behalf of my daughter who was in COVID Isolation. After a short wait I was given the order and returned home only to find half the order was missing. We were told to pop back and grab the outstanding items. 45 minutes later I got the items only to return home and find fruit was still missing. Tried the online complaints form without success. Realllly annoying.
Scanners dont work
The scanners at coles dont work.
On check out when your rushing to get out of the store during covid the check out assistants dont allow you to use another scanner if your self checkout machine is playing up.
You have to scan each thing 3 times for it to pick/ weigh the weight.
You forget where you are with the scanning!
There are less check out people to assist your forced to self check out after a hard days work as it is then do their job scanning your stuff !!
No product is marked down will not use them again.
We dont have time to haggle around till you fix your scanners.
Covid rules don't apply
During Sydney's covid lockdown (July 2021) there's been a rule that only 1 person per household may go out to do the shopping. Coles doesn't worry about this rule. So if you want to shop as a couple or as a family, this is the place to go. You don't even need to check in either.

Coles brand french cheesecake is disgusting taste like poison. My kids and I love cheesecake but that coles brand is revolting.
Leaves a chemical taste in our mouths.
The worst cheesecakes we've ever tasted.
The service and products are excellent.
This shop has everything you need or want to get through this lockdown. The store always has fresh fruit, meat and always has a range of different foods to try and like. The team members are always helpful and have great customer service.

It's advertised that on all orders over $100 dollars have free delivery but it's a LIE because I have been charge a delivery fee of $8 which my shopping online for groceries amounted to $168 dollars. I'm disappointed not about the money but the loyalty, I'm a coles shopper...
No problem here
ii always shope at Chatswood, Lane Cove and Willoughby stores, have been for years. The stores are always clean and staff very helpful.

sorbent toilet paper 16 pack in this weeks catalogue for $6.75 then you said we are sorry these will be not available at the special due to product not available well that's a complete joke as we bought 2 packets at 6am when the special started our store had plenty of stock and they have had plenty of stock all week. I think u jacked up the price because of covid-19 just for profit How disgusting
free delivery promised on the website for more than $100.00 but charging $6.00 for delivery!!
I ordered an online purchase on 11.07.2021!! After selecting items for half an hour for more than $120.00 they promise to deliver without any transportation charge!! Finally, they are asking to pay $ 6.00 for the delivery charge!! It is not at all acceptable!! I cancelled the order immediately!! They promise something but deliver another thing!! what is this?? I am disappointed with coles!!
Supply vs Demand
For a major supermarket chain you DO NOT know how to keep your shelves stocked, don’t give me its to hard, you employee huge amounts of people. Not walking 10 min to not get my items
Master Chef points rip off
Didn’t get MasterChef bonus points; flybuys directed me to store, Marrickville Store advised nothing they could do. A rip off! Hours wasted for nothing!
Flybuys promotions - Master Chet cookware SCAM - Coles Vermont South/Coles in general
The promotion is a SCAM. Time and time again, past similar promotions were all scams. After luring customers into collecting points, Coles is unable to fulfill the promise. I cannot redeem as "sorry, we have ran out of stock". I will not fall for this scam again. Shopping at Aldi next door will save you at least 10% to 15%
Master chef cookwear
Still 10 days to go for promotion to end and they have no stock available , what a joke totally scam to get customers to spend thousands and can’t have full stock to provide. Never coming back again switching to Aldi now . I have 100 credits and all in vain now. Why at the first place you guys stated the campaign if you can’t have enough stock.
awful outcome on the Master Chef Cook wear, 8 days left on this promotion and no cook wear only to be told there was none left and no more would be coming. I attempted to contact Coles via email, text msg, messenger and numerous phone numbers received not one reply from them, one would think customer service does not exist. Not good enough Coles...you should have stayed with kids tiny shop, your dealing with adults in cook wear
Shocking for their fake failed flybuy bonus on MasterChef Cookware, ending products on saved credits before final date!
Shocking for their fake failed flybuy bonus system on MasterChef Cookware, ending products on saved credits before the final date !!! and unable to provide sensible information about it
Why instead of attracting customers all your promotions are failing??? Plastic toys failed, cookware - very tricky deal with not enough products to cover own rules? Really guys when are you finally start to look after people, community and your customers??? So much fake!!! We are leaving you for Wooly and Aldi, at least no any deals like you doing all the time ....
Missing 4 items in my home delivery that I needed to feed pets. After having problems with my last two deliveries I should have know better than to go back there again. Waited on hold 2 hours and still no answer. Sent text message two days ago with no reply. Is there even any customer service operaters on? Or do they just keep people on hold that long they hang up.
Getting tired of poor customer service and Coles is definitely at the top of my list of businesses that are making alot of money from consumers and giving a terrible service in re...
No more promotional items - all stores have run out with 9 days still to go
All the stores in the South of Sydney have run out of the MasterChef Pots and Pans promotion and there are still 9 days to go until the next of the program. All stores I contacted said they were told by HQ they would not be getting any more supply . Spent thousands to collect the credits over the past few months , to be told , sorry no supply . What a joke !
