What is the point?????
Had my car hit by another in Townsville Hospital car park and security have advised they have full video footage with plate number. Rang Commbank and they have said I have to pay full excess as I do not have other owners details. I explained that there is actual video footage and they did not budge. What is the point of insurance with them?
Allowed me to be scammed
I was involved in a minor fender bender with a car which resulted in paint being scuffed off of their already damaged bumper. They tried to claim for $3000 and commbank insurance agreed it was fair even after I provided proof that their vehicle was already heavily damaged and I was forced to pay the excess. None of this was communicated to me and I had to pay the excess over 2 years later after I thought the claim had been resolved.

Who would have thought COMMINSURE would be so unprofessional, and unwilling to honour what they outline in their terms and conditions of their contract.
VERY UNHAPPY and won't be letting them let me down again after everything I have had to go through already. They should be honouring their position as the insurance policy provider.

Had a front on accident, took about 6 weeks to repair should have been a ride off because two months later my 5 year old car only done 130kl now has a sezied motor?
They just called to say they don't think its due to the accident that rode my car off that they did 17k worth of repairs on?
They won't tell you what you're entitled to. But they will gladly take your money.
I was involved in a minor accident (another vehicle rear-ended me). I took the driver's registration and licence details (including address). But because I did not have the other driver's phone number, I was going to be charged a $500 excess by CommInsure. So I had to drive to the guy's house to get his phone number. A few days later, I realise I was entitled to a rental vehicle while my car was being repaired. CommInsure did not disclose this to me. Yet they were quick to say I had to pay them $500 excess (which they eventually cancelled as I ...got the other driver's contact number). Fast forward a few months down the line, they send me an invoice for the cost of the repair of my vehicle. Turns out they were supposed to send it to the other driver. My issues are: 1) Quick to charge you an excess 2) They do not disclose your policy's entitlements. You have to ask specific questions about your entitlement.
4 months and my car still hasn’t been repaired.
My car was heavily damaged in the Canberra hailstorm. CommInsure made me use their approved repairer which can only repair the car in Queensland. Four months in and my car is rusting away and still damaged Action Smart Group does not have the capacity to repair the vehicles in a reasonable timeframe but CommInsure want to save some money instead of providing the service I paid for. I had to phone up and make a fuss before they would let me book a local repairer.
My car is badly rusted at the moment and I know that even with repairs it is only...a matter of time before that rust eats away at my car. My friends and colleagues insured with different providers have all had their cars replaced or repaired by now but CommInsure still use the excuse about how unprecedented the storm was as an excuse. Stay away from CommInsure - all they care about is the spreadsheet they use to track profit.

I can not stress enough, do not insure with this lot, they only want to take your money and will go to great lengths to avoid paying you out what your entitled to. I crashed my vehicle at the start of January and was stuffed around for 2months with them taking my vehicle for mechanical checks to try and find a reason not to pay out my insurance claim. They came back with a report saying that the the steering was faulty and damaged and knocked my claim back, I hit a tree which done substantial amount of damage to the front of the vehicle and wou...ld have caused the steering to be damaged, so how I was able to drive this vehicle with such amount of damage is beyond me. I also have my house and other vehicle insured with these grubs in which I will be cancelling and finding another insurance company to deal with.
I cannot rate this Comminsure car insurance highly enough !

So our car has been destroyed by hail damage. We lodged a claim on the day it happened and asked if we could take our car to our preferred repairer place for assessment and for potential repair. The answer was yes. We had to wait few days for a hail damage specialist to be present at our repairer of choice. Car got assessed yesterday. Today we receive a call from cominsure. We need to take our car to actionsmart which is their approved hail damage specialist. If that’s the case why have cominsure wasted our time and said yes in the first place....Wait it gets better! I asked Where an when can we take our car for assessment? The answer is oh they will contact you. They are currently setting up sites in Victoria and NSW! So when I ask are you serious?how long shall we be waiting? They said oh it’s just a hail damaged car, you can still drive it!! ( thank you for reminding me that!) We don’t know when they will be contacting you. This is the process. It’s not going to change! So the cominsure operater gets angry and hungs up on me! Honestly your process is not good enough and needs to be changed. It’s in fact one of the funniest and unprofessional processes we’ve ever heard of. It’s a joke!
I wish there was a No Star option
Vague information is provided in PDS about learner driver in aged restriction policy option. Nothing is mentioned about when the policy holder is supervising a learner. There is a common perception that if the full licence policyholders are supervising a learner, still the full license person is liable for car insurance. It is not clearly explained in pds and miss lead the costumers
Mistake To Move To Comminsurance
My car was bit from the back which I was not at fault. I called Comminsurance after few minutes to discuss the situation, the call center representatives are very inexperienced and do not think out of the box.
Asked me to take the car to crash repairer and arranged for a loan car with HERTZ which is on the other side of the town when the HERTZ is 400 meters away from the crash repair moreover WHY hertz? Anyways, I had to pay hertz insurance money to secure the car why?
