Credit Card Team- Hopeless Financial Assistance Team Hopeless
Had two loans with this bank, personal and car, paid off both about a week ago and they cancelled a credit card without leniency because of me not meeting their minimum requirements in repayments, despite both loans being paid off early, and not being at the limit of the card.

Still on hold... Has been over 2.5 hours...
As CBA has determined that I have nothing better to do than wait on hold for over 2 and half hours, I've decided that I can at the very least I warn others about their abysmal customer service. With no callback feature and a useless bot that says "you might have to wait 10 minutes", you're stuck with calling their black hole of a customer service line that tests the patience of even the most stalwart human beings.
Oh, I've already forgotten the first bit where I was hung up on after waiting for 30 minutes. Whoops. Oh again, they also they dec...lined my wife before that because of an imaginary 500k extra mortgage (on top of our real one). I would imagine this left a ding on her credit and was based on an error. The same glitch almost got me, but I caught it during review as it only appears AFTER you've gone through the step by step process. You see, it "adds" information you've not provided or confirmed, slipping it in there so you can't assume any of your answers or info is consistent without manually reviewing again after you've completed everything. Really great stuff guys - top notch infrastructure. What's really the kicker about all this, though, is that after waiting what seems a lifetime to get a few answers to some simple questions, I was transferred to someone that doesn't really know and/or can do anything at all. They simply read the plaques from their little cards and try to be courteous enough to get you off the phone without providing any real resolution. Any call back after to follow up as promised? Nope. Did they put a note on file as discussed several times with emphasis? What do you think? The only reason I called in the first place is because their app and website were glitched out and leaving our credit card application in a state of limbo - in a such a state where we had completed everything, but it continued to state that "action was needed" on our part. There was no other way to resolve this but to call them and indeed discover that there was something erroneous on their end. After a couple nights ruined, we're finally hoping that we can get a resolution by next week. One positive, in order to fair and accurate, is that we talked to [name removed] who seemed quite helpful and actually took matters into her own hands to solve this debacle. I can't say for certain that this will be the case, but she handled the matter appropriately and even lodged a complaint for us. I sum folks, just stay away from this big bank though. It's not worth the hassle and there are heaps of other banks out there that offer superior products and support. If you have a choice, stay away from this one.

i am with bank more than 10 years and this bank can not increase your credit limit.they can not identifiy over the phone and you need to go to bank to identified your self and waiting time in bank is 1 hour and branch is 30 minits far.so just identified your self you need to go to bank.such a time wasting opinion.

Been over 3 weeks for a credit card limit increase.
Back and forth providing extra information.
Takes over 3 days to verify each document.
Called 3 times and had to wait an hour each time.

i applied for gold card and i was approved but later they change offer to simple credit card. more than one hour of waiting with no option to get call back etc. seriously was it a joke?

Long waitng time online. They cannot be bothered to put additional resource to handle customer inqiuires on the phone, yet continue to make billions of dollars in profits. Horrible service. This is several years after I transffered my loans out of that bank. They have not improved a bit.
Five years ago, the Branch Manager and the Loan staff manager allocated to my application, almost made me loose my deposit for a home settlement because they could not validate the property value in time. It just went round and round, in them confusing the ad...dress, then the values and no end to the drama for two adjacent vacant land which I was buying. Had to go to ANZ for a quick turn around for the same property transaction, and the loan and settlement was all done within a matter of days. It was all done within a week. They have promoted unqualified people in loan manager and bank manager roles, who have limited knowledge and have no clue on handling any thing which requires additonal effort. They only know how to enter numbers in worksheet. They do not use their own thinking and analysis. Incompitance would be a kind word to use to describe most. CBA is the worst bank. There is no doubts about them. They cannot even do a phone call inquiry properly.
Don't bother with CBA Bank
I wanted to switch our credit cards from Westpac to Commonwealth, because Westpac doesn't have Apple Pay. (we have a lot of assets, properties,shares,cash deposits great credit rating etc.)
What a horrific idea to go to Commonwealth...their credit card department asked for the information they needed over several contacts with my wife & me. They do not give you a complete list at the start. We wasted 2 visits to a branch & countless documents emailed only to find that again & AGAIN & AGAIN !!!they asked for something else. Why not ask at the beginning.On the last occasion I told them to forget the whole thing.Documentation to buy a house is much easier. Insulting. ANZ,Westpac was so easy.

whole bank network is still completely down right now since this morning 10pm now. i cant do an urgent money transfer that needs to be done before cob today. worst banking experience ever. time to move out all accounts from this unreliable financial institute.

I suffered Depression, bullied, time and financial wasted during 7 years dealing with this bank starting the day I applied my first home loan. In fact the home loan personnel who opened my home loan in 2012 refused to helped me (because I complained his unethical works). He said "sorry I am now only looking after the home loan account $1 million or over (so my $500K+ home loan is no longer under his management), I could list up to 100 reasons not to choose CBA. This included people I dealt over the phone, and people dealt in the branches. 99.99...% I could NOT trust. Even if they promised to do something, you had to keep on reminding them 4 times to do so ! My mental health and my time had been wasted. They are good in bully. I am so relieved that I am no longer with CBA. If I could choose 0 stars I would select zero stars...
Great customer service.
I've been their customer for 10years and since that time they have provided me with excellent customer service. Since the banking royal commission I believe their customer service have improved and they even refunded me with the incorrect interest they were charging me. I guess I'm one of the lucky few.
Impossible to contact
Have been with Commbank for over 15 years. From my first savings account to then getting my first Homeloan with them. I have three other home loans and have decided not use Commbank due the poor experience and difficulty to make changes and get rates in line with current market. My introductory rate is coming to an end and I have called them 7 days in a row each time with more than a 1 hour wait, making it impossible to do. I was planning to keeping the loan with Commbank but due to the inability to have the conversation I have since contacted Lendi and they were able to get me a much better offer with ING. Discharge form already downloaded
