Credit Card Team- Hopeless Financial Assistance Team Hopeless
Had two loans with this bank, personal and car, paid off both about a week ago and they cancelled a credit card without leniency because of me not meeting their minimum requirements in repayments, despite both loans being paid off early, and not being at the limit of the card.
Useless at every turn
Banker with their products for 30 years, had business accounts for 3. You cannot trust this bank to provide a basic level of consistent Service. In this connected age they will block debit card transactions with fully funded accounts and not let you know until you find out from the merchant it did not work. No apologies. Want to make a complaint, person/department you make the complaint about will take the details. In a word, USELESS.
MONEY HUNGRY, don't care about customers
Been with commonwealth over 30 years. All I can say is they do not care about loyalty.
Recently I tried to claim house insurance for broken Hot water system, it was my understanding that HWS was covered but once I had to claim they will only cover $500 to the HWS plus damages to house. Excess is $500 so no point in claiming HWS if minimal damage has occured. After lodging complaint all they cared about was how they are in the right not the customer.

i have been with commonwealth bank for more than 7 years. We have 4 home loans with the bank. Due to current situation, our tenant ask us to reduce the rent as they are still waiting for cnetrelink payment. Both me and my husband loss the job, close our business . We have decide to call commonwealth bank today. After waiting in 1 and half hour, we ask if the bank could lock in our rate for investment 2.59% as westpc nab and other bank. Your staff respond we dont do price match. Is that 0.1% make that much different for commonwealth bank. But to...us as a customer it is a big issue that we may put it into another gas bill . The company advertise so much on the website on your facebook on how customer can rely on you in the hard time. How does it make it relevant to this current situation ? It has been such an disappointing experience with commonwealth . If you dont help , cant help then should not advertise under no circumstance. I will make sure that tell. any friend do not get any service from commonwealth as a old customer that have been let down so many times.

Over 30 years with this bank, my husband and myself, and I now have given up having a mortgage or any credit facility with them, although, I have put my son into an account with them, and being to regret this move. They unprofessionally, leave me on line waiting for over 28 minutes at 6.30 pm. Can I just say I do not give contempt to the staff manning the phones, as they are at the mercy of their Management. However, I did give feedback asking was my phone call being recorded, to please have call back facility or at the very least some reporting measure of scam on my account. Also resent being over 50 years off age and being treated as a moron by the bank, as I run my own online business and I am quite capable of online proficiency

net banking with commbank is crap and outdated. 1. you are super limited in how you search for transactions. 2. for some reason, they've decided that if you need to access any statements more than 2 years old, they will only give it to you in a pdf format ONLY. why ? only the genius who designed it this way knows. as a business using net banking it is very frustrating! not business user friendly AT ALL!
Just recently I found out that someone has used my card for payments and although i didn't lose my card. It happened twice so far in like 2 months. So I asked for the recovery and the customer service was saying that i have authorised the payment. I ended up getting my money back for the first time that it happened, but not sure i'll get my money back for the second one. They have terrible customer service and security..

Looking for Business Bank Account Don’t Use Commonwealth
I’m a start up business. I opened a Business account with Commonwealth. They charge you $10 per month. At the time I thought ok this sucks but I’ll be able to claim it on tax.... then after a review of my business ( consider how much you will make in your first year as a start up) I realised I won’t break the tax threshold to claim this- so hello Commonwealth Bank recurved $120 per year of my money for no reason at all. I suffered Depression, bullied, time and financial wasted during 7 years dealing with this bank starting the day I applied my first home loan. In fact the home loan personnel who opened my home loan in 2012 refused to helped me (because I complained his unethical works). He said "sorry I am now only looking after the home loan account $1 million or over (so my $500K+ home loan is no longer under his management), I could list up to 100 reasons not to choose CBA. This included people I dealt over the phone, and people dealt in the branches. 99.99...% I could NOT trust. Even if they promised to do something, you had to keep on reminding them 4 times to do so ! My mental health and my time had been wasted. They are good in bully. I am so relieved that I am no longer with CBA. If I could choose 0 stars I would select zero stars...

They also charged me $800 interest from my credit card by pressing it by mistake on my transfer into my accounts when transferred straight back to credit card

This bank is a complete embarrassment
CBA was the partner bank for my superannuation fund and they are utterly incompetent. Their customer service is non-existent, their account fees are everything but transparent, their constant emails offering products are tiring, their slow payment procedures are outdated and their fees are outrageous. I will never bank with these clowns ever again. They are an embarrassment to the banking industry in Australia.
