Product Delivered Faulty
Product delivered faulty. Arrived 12 hours after online purchase. Drove it back to store myself the same day, refused to swap for working product. Got a full refund instead. Complete waste of time.
Parcel still not turn up.....not happy...
I put order on 26/12/16 and been pick up by fastway on 28/11/16....until today(6/01/17)still not arrive....check on tracking no....they sent it back to Brisbane.....and call fastway....they said company...call to send it back to them.......im not happy with they service.....they should call me...if they make a mistake...
Mixed up serial number of my purchase
I bought a laptop from them and got the extended warranty, several months later the hard drive failed so I went back to get it fixed. SOMEHOW they managed to get the serial numbers mixed up on the invoice and warranty so apparently the computer I walked away with was not the one I bought so they wouldn't fix it because it wasn't on their records (because of their own stupidity). I had to to go the Asus laptop service centre to get it fixed.

Profits before service
Laptop was damaged while in their service department. Met with denial and argumentative supervisor. They will fight you for every cent.
This is the most money hungry place i have ever seen, they will fight you to hell and back when it comes to returning anything. They are completely shameless, they dont mind wasting their time... your time... making a scene... they absolutely dont give a flying crap about anything other than money. If you want to return an item for any reason (even if you bought it broken) prepare for a massive argument to try and get your money back, they will most likely give you your money back but take money away from you due to a "restocking fee"
Pushed me to the edge!!
I was a great customer, bought off them all the time. I almost came to blows with this idiot after i tried returning a monitor stand i payed $500 for, they said they will only give me my money back if i pay $50 for a restocking fee, i was left downstairs for literally 2 hours while they talked to their managers about it, i bought and returned the stand ON THE SAME DAY it was bad quality for the money i paid, i came so close to laying out those people it was crazy. Never buy from them, they are disgusting human beings
The salesperson had gone to back to check for the part. And another salesperson came and said 'I have to use computer'. I said ok. Then he told very rudely that other person needs to sit where I was sitting. No politeness, nothing. If I hadn't already paid, I would have just walked away from shop.
"We forgot about it"
While the purchasing of items from Computer Alliance was similar to other, much better companies, the installation was absolutely awful. Either hire someone to do it, or do it yourself. A simple change of parts for my PC which was supposedly going to take 5 days has not even started yet as of writing this review. I rang their customer service 6 days after the purchase to see how it was going, and I was told they HADN'T EVEN STARTED YET.
When I rang back again after 10 days, I received a very surprising comment from the customer service... Ev...en after previously ringing them, I was told that they hadn't even started yet, because: "We forgot about it." Went with Computer Alliance because they are local, never going to again. You shouldn't either.
Don't ask for customer service or a warranty to be honoured
We bought a printer from them on 16/6/15 lots of problems with it. Our business paid almost $900 for this printer. Completely stopped working last night for several hours, rang computer alliance this morning. Only help we could get was tell me the error message. As it was working at the time no error message to give them. Never buy from these people again.
Computer kept shutting off under gaming load, I sent the computer to them to fix. They said that it will take approximately 1 week to fix. They offered to clean my computer for an extra $20, so I took the offer and left them for 1 week.
Come back later to collect my PC that wasn't even fixed AND cleaned, I later found out MYSELF that the power supply unit was actually faulty and asked them for a new one because it still had warranty.
Seriously? What were you doing with my computer for a week? Where was the cleaning service that I paid for?
Legitimately the worst customer service in the world- so bad its funny
The repairs team definitely has a customer is wrong at all times attitude- assume you know nothing and have broken your computer by doing something stupid. When their mistakes are uncovered they will never apologize for it. Wont call you when your computer is fixed or give you an update. I understand working in customer service must be the worst- especially in computer repairs. You'd legitimately get a lot of crappy customers. Tried to be the nicest customer ever but was still met with contempt! Sorry---wont be recommending!!! Get a head of human relations like the IT crowd and get someone to talk to the humans for you.
Don't even use these guys as your last resort
Ordered a computer to be built on Friday, was told it would be ready on Tuesday. Heard nothing from them, called them up Tuesday afternoon, told that they had to order in some parts and weren't sure how long it would take. I called every day after that for more information (because they gave such little information throughout). Finally told on the following Friday that it would be built by Saturday noon and they asked me not to call again, they would call when it was ready for pick up. Didn't hear from them so I called at 1PM on the Saturday an...d they told me it was ready for pick up (no one had bothered to let me know, as usual). I rocked up, they took me through the system, realised one of their lackies had installed the operating system onto the wrong hard drive (not the SSD). Told to come back in 10 minutes, I gave them half an hour and they still weren't done. Another 15 minutes later my computer was ready for pickup. Never offered an apology or an explanation. My computer is not just for gaming, I run a business from home. I lost four days worth of work thanks to these bozos. Absolutely slow, useless and unapologetic for their awful service. Never called me once regarding any of the above, I had to call to find out what was going on and when the computer was actually ready. Stay away at all costs.

The staff are rude, even when I explained that if I bought the same stuff in say JB or Big W I would not need to give any details he just shrugged!! Pathetic & very backward
They had a video card listed for a low price when I ordered they later said they cant located one (even though the site said there was some stock) blame system upgrade, blah, blah, so I cancelled the order. The next day the price went up $30 (and still showing some stock)

I have bought from this shop in the past and they have had great staff with great service and knowledge however I went in today and was not impressed. I entered the store and was greeted by a staff member who took me over to a sales desk. I went into the store knowing exactly what I wanted as I do know a lot about computers. I acted as if I didn't know what I wanted to "test" what the staff members customer service and knowledge was like, since the last time I visited the store where the experience was great.
Firstly I told him the case I w...anted which was the corsair 900D. He looked it up on their stock system and they had them in stock which was great. I asked if he could do a better price or match a price of a competitor. Without checking or hesitation he said he could not bring the price down and made up excuses in-relation to matching prices with competitors which really [censored word removed] me off. In the past staff members said if I see another retailer offering the same product at a better price they usually match it or beat it without hesitation. I showed him a site which has a store in AU which had a better price. Then with a sigh he hopped up and went and asked his boss and came back with $4.00 off the RRP. By this time I was getting quite frustrated and said that would have to do. Secondly I wanted to get some information and possibly buy a PSU. It was quite obvious that this staff member had little to no knowledge of computer products in general. He spent a while searching through his system reading the descriptions of products in-depth to see if it matched my needs. Long story short I did not buy a PSU from the store. When it came time to pay there were multiple customers around the counter which was normal. There was a customer before me who was supposedly getting attended to. The sales person who sold me my items came back from the warehouse with the case and interrupted the person before me to get his sale done. Both myself and the person ahead were less than impressed. Overall the service was terrible from this particular sales person as they obviously had little computer knowledge and poor customer service. It seemed like he was working in a car-yard or real estate agent as all he wanted was the commission. He was treating me like fool and I definitely knew it. There were one or two other sales persons in the store at the time who seemed a bit "geeky" (I really do not mean this in a bad way) and I would of much rather dealt with them as it was obvious that they had a good knowledge of computers and had decent customer service skills. The sales-staff all dress professionally however this does not make up for the lack of knowledge and service, looks aren't everything. The computer alliance team might find this post "funny" however it was pretty obvious that your business has fallen since the last time I was there due to your staff's in-experience.
Poor service, over 25 min wait and limited product range
Very disappointing service. Over 20 people waited in a queue for around 30 mins while multiple staff took their time. When we finally made to the front of the queue, the cashier attempted to redirect us to another sales assistant and wait longer, rather than attempt to apologise for the wait. The range is limited and not worth the trip to Mt Gravatt. We will not be going back, there are so many other tech supply shops in our area.

Computer Alliance - Unreliable, Not to be Trusted, One of the worst online sellers in Australia
I regularly shop online and have rarely come across such an unprofessional and shady outfit as Computer Alliance. In February 2014 I ordered a 17 inch Asus laptop online with them costing almost 2 grand. The item was listed as in stock and their price was competitive. Though they still penalise customers who pay by credit card with a 1% surcharge. I paid by PayPal (which also incurs the 1% surcharge).
As I didn't get confirmation about the order being successfully completed, I followed up the next day with an email. PayPal had alread...y deducted money from my account and confirmed the order was 'completed'. What was the response from Computer Alliance? An unhelpful email stating they can't process the order because the payment is still 'pending'. They tell me to chase it up with PayPal and on and on things went. The final straw was when they refused to deliver the order to my home address because it might be too difficult to find and would only deliver to my work address. What a load of crock! The excuses and requests became more and more ludicrous. A week later and after 20 emails I am still without the laptop or even an approximate date of delivery. Meanwhile my credit card had already been debited for the full order amount. I had spent months researching on the purchase and was extremely excited about getting the new laptop. I was very nervous about buying from Computer Alliance because I prefer to stick to well-known and reputable companies. Unfortunately Computer Alliance is not one of these brilliant companies and all my doubts about them have come true.

Hi, No it doesn't require a BIOS update, you will see on the box that it has Ryzen 3000 Ready on it.
