Unacceptable workshop standards, and often charge for warranty repairs which should be without cost. Refunds for overcharges never given. Always keep the receipt - they say that "they have a record on computer", but in fact it is a "courtesy" which they won't honour when there are ANY complaints or problems. Unfortunately, most workers there are good, but management (read "workshop manager") is prone to confabulation and lies when asked specifics. People who really know what they are doing with computers should shop elsewhere. However, mos...t of the general public won't know that the service is substandard, as they don't have to deal with these people often. My businesses purchased computers from them recently based upon alleged service/repair speed with all repairs, not just warranty repairs. A mistake that won't be repeated. I suggest that you shop elsewhere. Please note: even "Harvey Norman" computer stores in my area are better, and that's saying something. Prices and range reasonable. Staff are always in "sales mode" and not really trying to be helpful. Getting repairs done under warranty is a real challenge, and results not always satisfactory.
I bought a new PC from computer Alliance and I have taken it back 4 times now to be repaired and it still does not work properly. I am now at point of making a complaint to the OFT (Office of Fair trading Qld) as they I beleive that the should replace my PC with another as they can't fix the one they sold me.
I have been in the IT consuting industry for over 15 years and have not come across such incompetant staff in the workshop at Computer Alliance. Customer service is appauling.
Reasonably competitive on price.
When requiring warranty work, staff are incompetant and rude. If they can't fix the problem its the "customers" tough luck as they won't refund or replace.
Warranty Claim Handled Ordinary
I took back an ASUS laptop that I purchased 8 months ago. Was told to take it back to ASUS myself. What kind of service is that ? It cost me $2540. I would have expected better.
Nice store layout.
Bad warranty service
