Purchased an ASUS Strix X570 Gaming-E motherboard back in October 2020. At the time there was a long wait to get other parts so I did not have a chance to try it until March of 2021. The item was dead on arrival but as I felt to blame for taking so long to test it, I only asked for a repair.
Item was received a few weeks later working back but missing a tiny screw (m.2 drive screw) and one of the clips (pci-e release clip) looked like it had been chewed on. I emailed them and requested a screw but was told they don't keep spares... Clearly the...
Read morey kept at least 1 spare! Was only able to source one on eBay adding another week before I could reassemble my computer. Item failed again last week. Stopped working with no signs of life. All other parts of computer tested working. Was advised by James at Computer Alliance that my item was confirmed faulty and now needs to go back to the manufacturer for repair. I requested a refund as it was the second time it had a major problem but was told it's only a minor problem and not considered a major problem/eligible for a refund as it can be repaired in a reasonable amount of time. This only works if you mix and match parts of the ACCC's major problem dot points.- 17 reviews

I bought a LaCie Rugged 5TB HDD for AU$219 on 3rd December 2021 from Computer Alliance through amazon.com.au. At the time of purchase, I didn’t realise I was buying from a third party seller.
Upon connecting the HDD to my MacBook Pro 2020, I started backing up data. It started clicking hard (what's known as the Click of Death in the industry) when it started copying a file between 1 & 3GB. I unplugged it to avoid any further damage, reconnected it and the file was no longer being recognised on the Mac. I tried a couple of times but had no luck...
Read more. Fortunately, my son has a Windows Laptop and I plugged it into that, the system immediately recognised it as a corrupted volume and suggested formatting it. I clicked on Format and it showed another error while trying to format it in NTFS (I have Paragon NTFS on my Mac so running it wouldn't be a problem). I then tried formatting it as exFAT and it worked. I then connected it to my Mac and it started working again, as soon as it started copying larger files, same problem. I didn't have time to run extensive tests on it so I went back to Amazon and requested a refund, this is when I realised I had bought it from a third party seller "Computer Alliance", my confidence level just dropped, however as I needed a backup ASAP, so I bought another HDD. Despite detailing the issue, that the problem only occurred on my MacBook Pro 2020, the seller didn't refund my money in full, deducting over 10% for no reason from an AU$219 product, $22.00. 1. The product did not operate as advertised. 2. I was neither consulted, nor advised prior to the partial refund being processed. After service is terrible! Did not honour warranty for manufacturing fault!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SHOP!! Customer service from Mananger was rude and borderline abusive!
After receiving an item that differed for what was ordered, organizing a quick replacement was impossible without allowing for lockdown

The website was nice and easy to use, customer service was good and prompt BUT.... the first time my custom desktop arrived the graphics was dead and also CPU fan was not attached to the heatsink, so I sent back the pc then when it was returned, it was working fine but my second harddrive was not seated correctly nor was it connected so I had to go into the case and reconnect it all. Overall I'm happy with the customer services but very disappointed in the quality of the build. There should also have been some packing on the inside of the case to prevent parts from coming loose and damaging others.
No respect for customers, happy to take your money but refusing to resolve after sale problems
I was loyal customer for more than 12 years and had few issues in the past with warranty claims but today they refused to replace my Corsair headset with faulty design which is causing pain and discomfort, there are some hard bumps inside earphones pressing against my ear. Have you ever seen any headset with bumps inside the earphones? After speaking with them over the phone, they told me to bring the hadset to the store for inspection. Computer Alliance technician told me that the faulty design is not a valid reason for returning the headset ...
Read moreand there is also no option to upgrade to more expensive one. I also told them that they should contact the manufacturer and explain what is wrong with the headset and if they think that my complain is not valid I will accept that without any problems. They simply refused to help me out. I am done shopping at Computer Alliance. There are many other computer stores with lower prices and much better handling of warranty claims.- 6 reviews

Customer service is bad, people are left waiting for no reason.
Every product has warranty and they claim that THIS particular product that I want to return has no warranty.
Ordered to have my PC air sprayed to clean, it was not clean.
I don't know why they have good reviews, my experience was terrible.

Hey, I was wondering what the average time it would take a package to ship to Melbourne, or if there was a way to see estimated time. Ty

Read moreaking 2 to 5 days. If we're sending to a residential address, then we're finding that stuff is quite fast to get to the local distribution centre (so it doesn't seem to matter much where its coming from) but is taking a long time between the local distribution centre and the final address. Australia post is still slow from the lockdown... It will take at least a week, probably 10 days and maybe more. Things are now improving since lockdown has ended. If I were to buy a motherboard to pick up, how would I ask them to do a BIOS software update?
