My husband called ahead and ordered the 2 items we needed. He told them who will collect them and when I would be there to collect them.
Upon arrival the order was not picked or ready to go. I was told to wait in the back of the store for approximately 10 minutes for them to call me over.
When I was called over to the counter, the product we ordered could not be found. The only product they had was an opened product (used). No offer of a discount was offered. I asked what the price would be, the lady responded the full price. I asked for a ...Read more
discount. She said she did not have the authority to apply a discount for a used/opened product. I was again told to wait in the back of the store. I waited for 15 minutes while she served other customers. Finally the person who can apply a discount happened to walk into the customer service area. She asked and a discount was applied. I am happy with the products.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Courier let down otherwise fast service
I ordered a curved 34" monitor on Wednesday and the item left the warehouse on Friday - that's nice and fast and excellent. I was excited because I needed it and I was going to get it promptly.
The monitor got to Melbourne over the weekend and it was at the couriers on Monday morning. It sat there Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. I was getting quite annoyed as it was now late ...
I emailed them on Thursday and they emailed me back to say they would ask the courier.
Friday came and I had just about given up hope and was about to cancel t...Read more

Good product, but can be improved.
Hello,
I won't deny that I am writing a review for gaining a free monitor (G27C4) from MSI as part of their promotion. With that in mind, the monitor and associated peripherals makes the purchase of this computer much more justifiable. But still, the matter of expansion is definitely a sour topic to discuss.
Anyway, I bought the i5 9400f model with GTX1650. In this generation of product lineups, CPUs and GPUs should be more than capable of handling 1080p and 2k gaming now. Naturally, hooking it up to my 4k Samsung smart TV at 60hz refresh rate...Read more
while running the Furmark benchmark yielded a disappointing 11 fps. However, with a lower resolution I should be fine. The I/O was stupid and confusing. I don't know Why there are 4 HDMI ports. I am aware that this computer is 'VR ready' but... not really. However, I really don't get why there are 4 HDMI ports!!! The 9400f is a CPU stripped of integrated graphics, but even then, there shouldn't need to be another 2 besides the one on the GPU. I still marvel at the ignorance of many consumers when they brag about the audio on their computers and I despise companies for being misleading or phrasing their advertising in stupid ways. For example, "a special hardware amplifier called 'Audio Boost'"-MSI's website. Ok... there's either an amplifier, or there is none. An amplifier IS a piece of hardware. There is no 'software' amplifier. Period. I know this because I am a DJ and music producer. Talking about audio I have some criticisms. Using my HD25's I checked the audio port on the front I/O. There was noise (buzzing, static)... I get it. I've built computers before and I know that the I/O are linked to the mobo through a cheap cable. I confirmed my suspicions when I used connected directly to the motherboard's amplifier from the back I/O. But this is ridiculous. You can't brag about your audio and allow customers to experience a letdown due to most likely cheap wiring! Furthermore, it's unacceptable to be excused simply because it wasn't a direct connection to the mother board's line out. The front I/O is where you reasonably expect people to plug their headphones in! But regardless, I know that the direct connection is quiet, so the DAC and amp shouldn't be too trashy. The RAM is SODIMM, unconventional but perhaps expected on an ITX computer? I don't know the CPU cooler but it's probably the stock cooler from Intel. It works.Similar opinion? MSI GL63 Purchase....
Store had a lot of notebooks on demo/powered on.. Great. Store was very busy (Sunday 30June - tax time). Was hard to get salesman to help with purchase...few staff at checkout counter not doing anything however. Did purchase using zip pay...had to prompt salesman (I think he was the Manager) for a computer to use so I can do the online order. Did not ask if I wanted a mouse, monitor etc etc. Good prices and range of products made up for experience.

Fast Computer, Low Sound Quality...
The store interface was easy to navigate...
I was not so satisfied that I could only choose between a couple of brands....
I rated the product I bought 3 stars because I am highly dissatisfied with the sound quality of my laptop. It is very low altogether and once put at the highest volume the sounds distorts and pops, which shows proof of a low quality product. Only thing I was satisfied with was the speed of the laptop. I am considering a return. I spent over 2,000 AUD and I can't even get a good sound quality. Step your game up computer Alliance!

WD My Cloud Home Duo is very meh
Easy to set up and that's where the good stuff stops. Unfortunately the cable supplied was damaged, can't easily set a static IP address, the multiple user accounts are extremely limited in that non admin users have one directory to share. Having to sign up to PLEX to stream media is a real hassle, on some devices you may have to acutally pay to use PLEX. If you are looking to back up your own data (private or business) and no one elses then this is excellent, the mobile access is really good.

Mixed bag
I was very pleased with the price for the laptop I purchased, and the relatively quick delivery. I was underwhelmed by the payment, invoicing, and receipting process, which left a fair bit to be desired and made my reimbursement from my workplace unnecessarily laborious, however the staff did try to be helpful and replied to my email over the weekend.

Good deals
I bought a 2080Ti got it for a really good price lowest I've ever seen it. Site is easy to navigate and they have a good range.
The only downside is shipping I would avoid Star Track took a week and a half to get a product with express shipping with other couriers I usually receive goods in 48 hrs.

I expected better
Placed my order and received and email when all items were available for payment and pickup. On arriving in store I was told that one of the items on my order was showing zero stock. The salesperson didn't elaborate on what he would do to fix the issue until I made it clear that I wasn't happy. Only then did he offer a comparable item at the same price. The other item wasn't better, just a different brand (Asus versus MSI).

Vive VR headset
I purchased HTC Vive and I like it when it works, Google " Vive headset not tracking" for a better picture. After setup it worked fine until I shifted my PC to the other side of the room, I left the base stations where they were and that is when I ran into tracking problems [headset not working] so I shifted it back and it worked again. A few weeks later I thought I had resolved the problem and tried relocating my PC again, same result, headset not tracking, I shifted it back again and then had problems with the base stations not picking ...Read more
up, they had not been moved and I have just fixed that, for now. I also checked the internet download speed at the new location I had for my PC [WiFi connection] and it was a bit slower than its current location this indicates some interference which could be affecting the Vive, I think the Vive is pretty sensitive to interference of any kind and that is what they are not telling you. However if you can cope with that the ability to move around even in a limited fashion still beats the sit or stand options hands down. Though I think this may well go the same way as 3D for similar reasons, pity because I like both.2 comments

Wrong language installed
The computer arrived promptly and in good condition. However, when it was set up the language was Czechoslovakian and not English. Using Google we managed to find some English language but when the computer was restarted it reverted to Czech and English. I phoned your help line and was told to drop the computer in. (I am in far north Queensland so impossible. I was then told to just take it to a local computer place. Which I did. $120 later I now have a computer that works. Very disappointed that you would send out a computer without the English language installed.

Friendly Helpful Sales Staff, But not a computer or IT Specialist by any means.
Firstly let me clarify a few things. I am happy with the service I received.
I am happy with the products I purchased this time and last time.
My expectations were shattered some what when I arrived a little early to collect my pre arranged order.
The shop had plenty of staff both inside and arriving but I was kept waiting for entry until a minute past opening hours. My order was pre arranged to be collected and was just siting there so I fail to see why the need to wave customers away frantically through a locked door for the sake of a co...Read more

Good except for that queue
The site is easy to navigate and selecting what is wanted is no trouble. Prices for the items I look for are good and if you need assistance in the shop that is readily given - however that is also a problem in a way.
I ordered online, the items i wanted were ready when I went to the shop on Sunday afternoon but then I had to wait about half an hour in a queue - they haven't figured out yet how to provide for people who have placed an order online and just want to collect it. So I go to this shop as a last resort - my time it too valuable t...Read more
o waste it standing in a lengthy queue while people who need help selecting what they want are attended to. The counter staff really tried to get things done as quickly as possible but still it took a very long time. So here is a suggestion - encourage people to purchase online if they know exactly what is needed, pay for it online and then have a designated place at the counter where it is possible to show your identification and then just hand over the waiting order. Is that too hard?? If that was done I would give this business my top rating but as it is after several times of joining the queue that snakes through the shop I avoid this place.Similar opinion? Good, but shipping is terrible.
Shop with CA for many year, so far so good. Just one thing I hate is they always ship without any protection, I get it, it just a box but I do care about the box. As a pc builder box is important as we always want it in perfect shape not rectangular package arrive in triangle form.

Horrible first impression. Problem fixed during later communications.
At first, they put the incorrect name on the shipping label and tax invoice for my order. I called them up and they were quite rude over the phone blaming me for using the same eBay account to order for my friend before, and eventually hanged up on me. I put the correct name and address on my order through the eBay interface for this order. How am I suppose to know how their internal system work? Worst customer service experience ever.
Edit: I called up two more times afterwards, and finally the third customer service rep took care of the problem and fixed everything. However, my order is still delayed over the weekend.

Great product supplied - just not what I asked for
Visited the Store recently to pick up a usb wireless dongle for a work laptop that had a faulty onboard card. The service team member was very responsive and extremely helpful in selecting a item that was good value for money, from a quality brand and I can confirm it's working well. However downside here is that I was quite specific that I was after a usb3 device and even queried again when we finally agreed on this item for purchase and was reassured by the service team member that the item was definitely usb3. Turned out when I unpacked th...Read more

This is actually a 2.5 star review
Prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly. IMO I think it is generally a good business, but staff are too busy to provide after sales service and their formal complaint system is weak and non-existent.
All of the following is my experience and opinion:
I went online and designed the system I wanted, and then called up to check. Apart from adding a Thunderbolt card of $99, the price was $350 dearer, so I did not place the order on the phone, I got off the call and then placed the order. I did feel a bit pressured to pay more than ...Read more
what I wanted. Then there was a problem with my order, as the Thunderbolt card needs a specific motherboard. Not a problem, except I could not get through on the phone to talk to them, and I was asked to pay $63 extra. I asked them to cancel the order as the poor wording of the invoice did not clearly outline what motherboard was being exchanged and what the new one was. When I complained to management, I was told it was an error, they got the $63 around the wrong way and it should only be $36! So I ordered. I paid $17 for delivery, and then got a phone call and an email to say come and pick up your computer. I then called an arranged delivery a day later than I could get it delivered (to ensure my partner was there to collect it). It wasn’t picked up the day of delivery til 3pm by the courier. Why make an arrangement with me then not honour it, and make excuses when I point it out?Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!
Surprising Prices
I usually avoid Computer Alliance due to their average prices and uninformed staff.
Recently the prices have been more competitive. Unsurprisingly, the staff are still incompetent.
