These came standard on my HSV Clubsport R8 in 2014 and the grip is amazing. I have tried other cheaper tyres since but none come close to the Conti. Pity they are so expensive here in Australia (being made in Europe). 10/10
Purchased in January 2014.

Make my diesel 4WD cornering like a little sport car!
I have a diesel 4WD that is 200kg heavier than its petrol cousins and had to slow down significantly when cornering. When I have the Premium Contact 5 tyres fitted, my 4WD began to feel like a sport car. After the first 4 tyres I noticed that they wear out faster than other brands (about 20k), but with the next 4 tyres I have been having a tyre roation (DIY) every 10k and will update my post. However even with faster wearing, it's worthy for me to have the excellent grip and precise steering in all driving situations and weather.
OK, not that great
Purchased a set of 4 for $130 each. I've only used them for 1 year so far. I have them installed on a Mazda 3, 2010 model. Size 195/65R15 onto the original steel rims.
They have very deep wide channels and variable width grooves so in theory they should be good for very wet weather. I still haven't had a chance to test these out in very heavy rain.
The steering feel is better than the original OEM Bridgestone B250 tyres. The car doesn't go quite as straight as the Bridgestone and seems to be more sensitive to wheels being out of alignme...nt and balancing. Tyre feel is more jittery than the original OEM tyres. This actually may be the intention with higher performance tyres, to give better feedback so you can judge the feel of the road and the levels of grip. The tyres gave off a strong "new tyre" smell in the garage for a very long time, approximately 5 months after purchase. Fuel consumption on the car seemed to have increased about 10% going to this tyre. Other review sites suggest these tyres will wear quickly. I'll update this review in a few years to indicate the level of tyre wear.
