After many years trying different cat litter and ending up with a recycled paper one. I ran out and went to my local supermarket and noticed that this one was nearly out of stock. I decided to try it while waiting for my on line delivery of the recycled litter. I am sold on this litter there is no odour at all except for the grainy smell. the cats seem to like it as well. Mind you they like the taste of it as do my dogs but other than that it is a winner.

Sticking with this one, it works a treat!
It has been some years since I've had the need to use cat litter. Last year we were a house of 4 cats so it was more feasible to use sugarcane mulch and river sand in trays and once soiled to just toss the lot on the garden. Now I'm down to 2 cats (the 2 males passed away last year). I decided to go back to my wood shaving flush-able litter I had used many years ago but they have changed the formula and my 2 girls were tracking the stuff all over the house, even though it had great odour control and pleasant smell. The pet store convinced m...e to go with the "sifting" kind. It was pellets that turned to dust sort. Not only was fresh stuff unpleasant to smell it had no odour control whatsoever! So then they recommended this. Sure it has a "cereal" kind of smell to it when fresh but it's not unpleasant at all. I'm yet to change the litter boxes after like 2 weeks (I know you should change them after 1 week but I did fill the trays quite full). No urine odour as yet. My girls seem to really like it and there is minimal tracking. I scoop and flush any solids each day and I can see that the urine has broken down some of the box contents already so I believe this will do great on the garden. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this at all.

I just bought this last week after seeing the good reviews here
Low smell and I think it is better than the Breeder's Choice recycled paper litter due to close to NO smell and ease of picking out the nicely coated dry poops.
Can dispose of in the garden. Am now wondering if I can flush the poop down the toilet since it's only coated in rice husks...cost me around $6 and I think I might get 3 - 4 weeks out of it as our cat only does one poop a day.

Best cat litter!
I can honestly say, after trying paper litter, clay litter, crystal litter and tree wood litter, this is THE BEST ! The smell of the litter is like a wood smell, not bad at all and it masks the smell of urine somehow! I don’t think you can ever mask the poo smell though, which I expect never to be able to! I use this litter in two cat litters trays. Which is shared by my two desexed males + desexed female. My cats love the litter. It is very easy to maintain as I shake the tray and the clean litter separates from the soiled litter which I just...scoop out and dispose of! It does track easily though but because it masks the smell and is easy to dispose of I count myself as lucky to find such a product and I sweep often, that part doesn’t bother me! I’m very happy every time I purchase a small bag from coles for $6 something as it’s a peace of mind product ! Especially fact it’s natural smelling etc :) thank you!

Value for money...!!!
This litter locks in the smell of cat pee & all you smell is a pleasant grainy smell. 1 bag lasts 2 indoor cats in 2 litter trays for a week.

My two boys and I love it
What is wrong with the people who say this litter doesn't work? I have two desexed male (indoor only) cats and two litter trays kept in the shower recess in a 2nd bathroom. Yes, it does have a natural rice grain-type smell. As I am used to the smell from the trays, I ask visitors if they notice any offensive odours in that bathroom and they all say no. It is easy to scoop the poop and flush down the toilet. I shake the tray to separate the loose litter away from the urine clumps. I scoop the clump(s) into a waste bin that I empty into my ...compost bin. When the cats scratch the litter around, it is retained in the shower recess. I use a long-handled dustpan/brush to tip it back into the trays. It is not carried around the house by my boys. It is very economical. I buy the 12.5kg bags delivered to my home and they last for at least 4 months. I often still have half a bag left when the next delivery arrives. I am a real 'cat lady' and have used many types of cat litter over the years. I like this one the best for its low environmental impact, ease of use and ability to neutralise the strong ammonia smell better than anything I have used before.

My Kittens like this product better than others I've tried.
After trying several types of litter I've found this is the best by far. It's safe, easy to get rid of; just spread it around the garden and is a natural product. Being kittens 4 and 5 months old now, they do still kick a bit of it out of the box sometimes, but it's easy to brush up and put back into the tray. I buy the 4kg bags as they are easier to store than the 12.5kg bags. They also work out cheaper for me.

Desperate for Woolworths to restock
This litter is the best. We use it for night time and rainy weather. My cat always gets it everywhere but it’s soft under foot when you stagger out half asleep. Garden and lawn loves it. I put the tray out in the sun during the day and the rice and UV eliminates any doors and I can use it for over a week.

Best one yet
I switched over to this product after the clay litters then breeders choice failed to neutralise the odour of my recently sexually mature male cat's wee. I admit Max's litter has an odd smell but its great at neutralising the ammonia odour coming from the wee. My boy accepted the litter without fuss and I dont need to change the litter as often either as there is no horrible smells. Very easy to clean too! Hopefully this product doesn't change like most do.

Best Kitty Litter
I like this product as it clumps well and can be put in the garden or able to be flushed down the toilet.
My cat uses this litter well, there's only a slight grainy smell which isn't too bad. I put the used litter in my garden which has improved the soil and makes good flowers.
I highly recommend giving this litter a try.
Best cat litter!
I've tried a whole bunch, this stuff is seriously good. Purina Tidy cats is good too - probably on par but is expensive and the sweet scent is too strong for my cat. This cat litter smells good (naturally, rather than an artificial scent), soft on paws, cheap and very easy to clean - clumps very well! Super odour minimising, can't smell anything other than a nice rice smell.
Best I've found.
I love this litter. It smells a little rice bran like, for obvious reasons, but I can just scoop out the faeces and leave the urine to dry. I change it once a week and there is only the rice smell. My baby girl loves it. My previous was a "clumping, odour minimising" litter, and it did neither. Plus it was impossible to sweep up completely.
I will be continuing to use Max's
Best cat litter ever
I have limited space in my unit, so am very conscious of litter smell. Max's is the best of 4 brands I have tried. As a previous reviewer noted, it indeed smells a bit like breakfast cereal, but I don't find it unpleasant at all. My mother cat and 4 kittens love it (in fact, one of them plays in it....yuk). Very happy customer!
If the cat likes it, it must be good
My cat is both and indoor and outdoor cat, but we always have litter available for night time and rainy days. I don't know what happened for the others in their circumstances, but I do not find it too dusty, there have been no weevils, and the only thing I can smell after he's had a pee, is a kind of wet cereal smell (think: weetbix with hot water). If he does happen to do #2, I scoop it out and flush it right away... As for clumping, I usually give it a bit of a mix up with the scoop in the mornings, and by night time it has dried out and b...ecome acceptable for use again. I'd *like* to be able to scoop the lumps and trash them, but they dont bind together very well. Overall, very happy with this litter, wish I had discovered it for my other cats whilst they were still alive.
Questions & Answers
I have been using Max's Cat litter for a few years now, but now they've changed the product. It is now sticking to the bottom of their trays like glue. What has changed with this product??? Not easy to clean like it used to be. Please change it back to the original product!
