Purchased 2 new tyres y-day: product ok; price ok: i wanted them fitted to front of my front wheel drive vehicle: told no- costco policy, must be fitted to rear. Both rear tyres nearly 80% life left. Had to have them changed later. Not happy. Garry..
Problem with a BBQ chicken
We bought a chicken today early for our dinner tonight and happened that was uncooked and very pinky colour. I took pictures of it if you need it. Is only a chicken but it cost us our dinner.
Most of the things they sell I don't usually buy. I am a bargain shopper and mostly buy the products at coles, woollies or Aldi when it's cheap. So I wouldn't save money on most food items like bulk junk food, meat, canned things etc. However they have massive and cheap cooked chickens and for business purposes I buy stacks of toilet paper and laundry detergent and save a bundle buying it at Costco. Not completely sure I'm saving $60 a year though. I've also bought a couple of TVs there which were a good deal. Cleaning products are cheaper at t...he supermarkets when on special, fruit and veggies are cheaper elsewhere or at least the same price. Also had some good deals on bulk hand towels and pillows at Costco. But not everyone needs to buy those. Maybe it would be a better deal if I didn't have to drive 40 minutes to get there. Horribly rude staff
A day out at the local Costco was very interesting. It was like the old Campbell's Cash & Carry stores we had to recent although, on a larger scale.
Cant say I'll go back as I don't want to buy 6 jars of coffee when I've never seen or heard of the brand and the same applies to nearly everything.
No complaints as we need stores that offer a different shopping experience.
I went to buy a printer and lawn mower and maybe a computer. I have been looking at Costco in the USA on line they have massive varieties of these products. So we joined the Aussie one.
We were pretty excited when after two and quarter hours drive they had one lawn mower to choose from and two printers all just nasty nasty junk. On top of this the prices were the same as retail at JB Hifi and Harvey Norman and Bunnings. I know because I have checked them out. I spoke to a sort of manager in the store and asked why the prices were so dear and...
Careful buying Christmas decorations
I puchased The handprinted glass candle holders for my Christmas table they looked as beautiful as on the box except they were very dusty from the packaging, so I thought I would rinse the dust off. Big mistake because the colour and glitter washes off. So don't think to have sparkling glass on your centerpiece, because you can't rinse them let alone wash them. What a waste of time and money. Good going Costco......
Check Your Dockets ....I got an error and its cost me $130 .....nope Costco not interested they've b
Recently I checked some old dockets and to my utter surprise I found that I had paid for two Steam Mops ...??? I actually only own one. Now nothing as simple as two on one docket ...nope purchases one month apart. ??? this is totally weird so I called. the lady I spoke with was - well lets just say - all Costco people should be as nice and helpful. I own the mistake as for some reason I didn't check my docket ....however on one of the two occasions that I purchased items - one of the times the teller would have scanned a non existent mop an...d the checkers on the door ...would also have NOT seen but ticked a mop???? yep really strange. I asked the store *North lakes QLD*to please review the security footage ...if not for my sake at least for theirs as it could be a computer error or ...staff problem. The lovely lady in administration tried to help but 'store management' were not prepared to review the footage (they had exact time and date not looking for a needle in a haystack) ....mmmmm had I been a shoplifter they would have been on it like a shot and provided it in court....but as they have been paid twice for one item ...yeah not the managements problem .........! I'm out of pocket $130. MORAL of the story ALWAYS check your DOCKET ..........this one time i didn't and it hurts!! me not Costco.
Was in the store today and when I reached the check out my husband handed me $50 to pay for goods but the card is in my name? Lady serving us refused me to take money and when I said but that's my husband and we have just lifted money ( from our joint account) refused me to take it I felt like a criminal wont be back feeling discussed but it k to put petrol in car no one there to question think this is refi cultus!!
Saved money, but the staff were SO rude!
I shopped at Cosco (North Lakes) with my partner for ourselves and one other family. Some of the items in there are really cheap, while others are the same (give or take a few dollars) as everywhere else.
We did save a bit of money by shopping there, but they again have to factor in driving all the way down from the Sunshine Coast. The staff are also incredibly rude and condescending, and seem to go out of their way to be as unhelpful as possible.
I don't think we'll go out of our way to go back. The extra hassle wasn't worth it for such poor service.
