Washed a T-shirt once and it shrunk. Returned it to the store and their response was all our items shrink
Still waiting on a refund over 3 months
I would never purchase from this online store. I purchased items over 3 months ago whilst in lockdown. The sizing wasn’t right so I returned through the post and repurchased. I was notified by Cotton On the goods were returned and I would be refunded within 10 working days. This was back in October 2021. The only option to correspond with this appalling company is via Facebook through messenger. After numerous messages back and forth I was told that there was a backlog due to Covid. Then after patiently waiting months, now they do not reply to my messages. So they have my items back which I paid for and no resolution. Disgusting customer service
Literally the absolute worst customer service in Australian retail
Have waited almost 2 months for my refund to be processed after chasing up their customer service via live chat and email with nothing but lousy excuses about a backlog at their depot bla bla bla. Well finally last week someone got back to me stating that my refund has been processed. B.S!! I paid through PayPal so it would have been in my account straight away if it has and offcourse no follow up email has been received. I filed a dispute with PayPal which I should’ve done weeks ago I guess. They have been given a couple of weeks to respond to...the claim and they still haven’t which only proves how lousy their service is, not to mention dodgy and unprofessional. I will never ever buy anything from them again. What a crappy company to deal with and their product quality certainly doesn’t justify the price tag even on sale. Judging by all the negative reviews here they need to be reported to fair trading for various breaches of service.
Would give no stars. It is now going on for two months since cotton on received my return. I returned my order the day after receiving the goods. Repeated requests have fallen on deaf ears with a laughable sorry its taking song here's 10 dollars to spend...as if! Now not even answering. And let's talk about the return itself. The quality has gone down immensely. Sizing has changed and goods were just awful, scratchy fabric and poor quality. If anyone else is having trouble getting their money back contact consumer affairs. I have. Worst company. Do not spend your money here
Worst returns process!
Order returned two+ months ago, still not processed and no idea when this will be processed. Online experience shouldn't be based on "possibilities", "high chances", and "hoping" to get the returns processed and these are the answers I get from Cotton On.

I purchased some face masks. I tried to exchange an unopened mask. Cotton on staff refused stating some "health concerns"? What concerns? The item was unopened and the only way to access the mask is to cut open the packaging.
There is no way that this mask was in anyway different to the condition it was sold in.
I wasn't looking for a refund, all I wanted was to exchange the unopened product for the correct size.
Do not buy underwear that you don't KNOW will fit.
BE AWARE!!! If you have never bought underwear from Cotton-on and so cannot guarantee it will fit, be very aware that they will not accept returns when buying online. Even if the packaging is not opened. I bought matching bras and knickers (over $100 worth) and because the bras wouldn't fit (the ONLY things I tried on), they have refused to accept the returns of the underwear.
Now if I went into a shop, something I can't do as I live over 150kms from any store, they would presumably let you try on a bra. And if it didn't fit you wouldn't be ma...

Horrible Return services
Took 2 months and no money returned back yet. The jacket is supposed to be size M but in fact very big like size XL. Unbelievable how they get it wrong. There's no return confirmation or selection to make sure what item is returned for what reason. The process is so flimsy based so much on a chain technology by Auspost, risking a lot of things can go wrong and human errors. I feel horrible whether it would get back to them and I will get refund because I get no receipt. This is the first time I got to take a photo of what I return just in case ...because there are no other ways to know what's actually being returned in the box. Customer service chats are bad, inexperienced and not sensitive or compassionate. Auspost took 1 month to post it back. They (CottonOn) is taking another month and I still haven't got money back. They do have great variety and cheap prices but I don't want a horrible purchase experience again. No.
Soooooooo dismayed - Poor design - Poor quality
Purchased a pair of white jeans online. They were TERRIBLE! The colour was a white/grey like it was washed in a load of dirty water. The jeans were soooo thick and heavy, heavy, too heavy. The waist was up around my mid rib cage but the waist was too small. They were a mess. Sent them back after a very difficult search to actually find out how. Now waiting for refund. Its four weeks now.

Returned items not refunded
I returned several items 3 weeks ago. Have not received a refund. Spent 4.5 hours over 3 days trying to access online chat. Finally got on. No help whatsoever. Disgusting
Just received my t-shirt back apparently was to cottonon was stained this company is very deceitful, as from these photos you can see they are in perfect condition and tag still attached and obviously have not been worn at all, best you by elsewhere, this company is very greedy
The staff are rude
The Shellharbour staff and manager are extremely rude. Very abrupt and unhelpful I will not shop in this store again due to their lack of customer service it’s absolutely atrocious
mount barker manager is rude, sizing is not standard through their clothes
sometimes I am a size M to XL so when I have bought online , I have had to return or exchange due to wrong sizing, And the manager at mount barker is very rude, I will not be shopping there again.
I would give no stars if I could! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. They don't answer your questions and will leave the live chat after they give what they believe is the right info. I have been communicating with several different customer service people who all tell me different answers! Their customer service is a joke. They say afterpay returns are free but the process is an absolute shambles.

Unfair PERKS VOUCHERS
I bought a $10 item which was free due to the $10 perks voucher, I also bought a tote bag for $2 And an item for $39.99 And one item for $20, when the two items ($39.99 And $40) were not right for me I returned them with tags never worn and the service staff told me I could only get a discount for $50 not the $60 I paid for those two items. The reason they said was because I had used a perks voucher in the transaction and now they had to reduce the value of the 2 items I returned!! I spoke to their customer service over the phone and after my e...xplanation how thus was not the right amount to refund she gave me a $10 perks voucher! Disgusted, never shopping with any of the Cotton On group again, and I have been a loyal customer for years! Am going to report this to the ACCC as this contradicts Australian Consumer Law. Very disappointed.

Online shopping with Cotton On is ok if u choose to pick up in shop. I am still wondering why Cotton On is still using country’s worst shipping company - Courier xxxxxx!
The driver never came to your home for delivery but they did update their online status as “attempt to deliver but not at home”! Also they said they left the card for me but they did not ! What a ridiculous service!!! I did give instruction to leave my order at my front door but they took my order back to their warehouse ‘
I am so frustrated to have Courier pls to deliver my order as I had few horrible experiences with them. This time, again, I really don’t know how long can I take my order back or it would never come ?
Cotton On Admin/Customer device: Please take all your customers review seriously and consider to change your courier partnership to boost your competitiveness !
No extend sizes available in the store. If I found one, you are lucky. That probably is the only one in Aus. Why are they producing it? Save for themselves to wear, not for sale?
