Express Shipping is anything BUT express.
I used to LOVE cotton on. Honestly, whenever I needed new clothes, stationary, active wear or undies they're always the first place I'd look. Its such a shame that the online store is so poorly handled, specifically the timing with which you receive an order. On several occasions now I've paid for express shipping & been given a delivery date only to have my order turn up well over a week later, whats the point in even offering express if you can't follow through on the promise of it being here sooner than if i hadn't paid any extra at all? I'v...e often gone into the store to try and avoid this but they NEVER seem to have the same stock in store or even have anything remotely similar to what I'm looking for & when you ask the staff for assistance, they look at you like you're speaking jibberish. The customer service team never seems to be overly enthusiastic about helping either, often talking to you like you were born yesterday. Not very helpful & leaves me feeling like it's time to find another cheap, generic & vaguely fashionable place to shop. Disappointing.
Not the friendliest environment
Staff are usually very friendly but on this occasion weren’t very friendly nor welcoming. I felt quite offended when they gossiped and laughed behind the counter when I tried to exchange a product I had purchased the day before due to sizing. I completely understand that some products may not be exchanged but I think they could have been more polite in how they handled the situation as I left feeling unpleasant. Products are good quality and prices, but I did not enjoy my experience in this particular store.
Fake advertising not 30% off in Black Friday
Today I went to cotton in in Burke street, I seen marked 30% off in activewear, when I pay the cashier says my item isnot with 30 % off, I said to him the discount is marked, after I come home I checked online , the itens I have bought is 30% I made chat online to support they said will send me email and my refound, but not received my money back.
Self Service, interrupting staff to confirm they didn’t have what I was wanting to buy
Walked into Cotton On first time in this store location. I was browsing for elastic cuff/waist cotton jogger style pants. I looked in the men’s section I looked around the store. I spent 15 mins sifting through the racks. I had to interrupt two staff members which neither approached or greeted me so far. I asked about the size and style of these particular pants to have confirmed that they were unavailable. Which was a shame because I really liked them. I would have purchased them regardless of the lack of service.
Express shipping, not arrived for over 2 weeks
I put an order in of the 29th of March and used express shipping with than eta for 2nd of April. I have still not received my parcel and have emailed them several times with 1 unhelpful response.
tacky jeans and wring sizing
i ordered 6 items of clothing online and only three were actually tolerable, both pairs of jeans were made of cheap material and didn't even fit right even tho I ordered them in my size, the pink shirt ordered came to me in brown and the shorts were way to loose around my waist even tho i ordered them in a size too small. don't think i will be shopping there again anytime soon.
I thought I'd give them a try so I purchased 2 mens t-shirts for $20. After one wash the neck was stretched out and the tee didn't fit well at all. Even the fabric was cheap. I'd recommend General Pants as they have 2 for $40 and hold up really well..

Don't trust the online dispatch times they advertise
I've placed two orders with Cotton On online, and neither of them have arrived in the advertised time, even after paying with express shipping.
The first order wasn't dispatched until after 6pm the day it was supposed to be dispatched (I ordered Friday night - it was supposed to be dispatched Monday). Australia Post's same day dispatch cut-off is 6pm, so it wasn't processed until Tuesday, and thus arrived Wednesday. I did email to enquire about this as I did pay for express shipping, but my email went ignored.
Assuming these things sometimes ...happen down the line I placed another order online with express shipping, after the website guaranteed at the time I placed the order it would definitely be dispatched same day, and it should arrive the next day. Lo and behold it didn't arrive that day. As I hadn't received any tracking or correspondence I enquired about my order - I got told my order 'should be dispatched in the next day or so' so it won't arrive until sometime next week, even though I paid for express. They now have a strike rate of 100% of orders not being dispatched in the times they advertise - and there's so many reviews that say the same thing so I don't think I've just had an unlucky experience. Save your money and just pay for standard postage as it'll arrive in the same timeframe anyway. If you can't deliver something you advertise, you probably shouldn't advertise it - Cotton On clearly haven't created a logistics model that supports next business day dispatch and thus should not advertise this.
Worst experience ever!
Poor quality, rude customer service who ignore product enquires and complaints. They also admitted to running out of stock, didn’t ship all of my items and refused to refund items I paid for that I didn’t receive!
I’m so disappointed, I spent $10 extra for express shipping, it has been 6 days since the day I was told it would come and it still isn’t here. Yes $10 isn’t a lot of money but I still payed extra for it to come in a few days and it has been nine days since I ordered. Im pretty upset because I also payed extra as I wanted one of my items for an event but too late now. I shouldn’t have been told it would come in a few days if it wasn’t. So mad
Don’t keep trying to sell me stuff I don’t want!!...so annoying
Not very good quality and they keep trying to get me to buy stuff I don’t need or pay for things I don’t want to pay for!
Isn’t it enough for your organisation that I just spent $60?

Reluctant to order again
The website is easy to use and navigate, however I regularly shop online with cotton on and every single order I have made has had at least one item out of stock. Cotton on provides you with a 30% off code for your next order and the code has never worked on my next purchase.
I decided to try click and collect, and after EIGHT days, there is no sign of my items, no way to track them, and no estimation on when they'll be ready to pick up. I qualified for free general shipping, which I could've selected and they'd have been delivered to my door well and truly by now. SO DISAPPOINTING!

Appalling customer service
Midland staff at Cotton On Body are completely rude, No acknowledgement when you walk in the door, neither of the two girls working that evening even approached me after 10mins of comparing bras in the back corner of the shop. I was the only person in there and the girl walked past me several times. Eventually i gave up and figured I'd go spend my money elsewhere but before i left i approached her to give her some pointers of what customer service means but she was more interested in the hanger and panties in her hand and wouldnt even look me i...n the eyes. I happily made a very forward complaint to their head management in HQ to which they have sent me 2 vouchers for my next visit as compensation but to be honest i dont want a bribe... i want them to train their staff on adequate standards of what it means to be a sales assistant. If those girls are so unhappy in their jobs they need to rethink the industry they're in and go work in Coles as a night filler where they can avoid interacting with customers since they lack any form of social skills and I'm sure there are plenty of other who would love to take their place of employment. I gave two stars simply for the fact that their HQ was more polite to deal with and are fast at responding otherwise I would've easily given a 1 star rating.
Click and collect
Listed as 1-3 business days before pickup. Told by a service rep that I was lying and should be at least 3-5. So very unprofessional and rude and still hasn’t arrived.
Customer service is crap
I made a purchase online and when going instore to return the products because they weren't what I asked for and packaging was terrible. This girl at the registers first up without even trying informs me she can't return it and to go to typo instead. Once arriving at typo I was greeted with great customer service and she even showed me she couldn't truth one of the products there. However cotton on should be able to cause it's a mega store and all brands are under one group. Once u and received at cotton on for the second time. The girl didn'...t even scan my item to check just walked off to ask her manager. When in fact I know I should be able to return Supre products to Cotton on cause I have previously done this elsewhere. Over all I am dissatisfied with the customer service at southland cotton on.
Delivery ALWAYS takes longer than stated.
I love the range of clothing to choose from but EVERY single time I have ordered online (5+ times) the delivery has taken longer than stated. If I buy something on a Monday I should expect to get it by that Friday so I can wear it by the weekend, ESPECIALLY considering I live in the same town as the warehouse the ship their stuff from, but I’m not receiving it until the NEXT week. It has made me not want to shop there anymore as a few times now I have had no use for the clothes by the time they came to me because they didn’t arrive in time for ...the event. I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that it was only because they might be going through a busy period but I’ve come to realise they just suck at getting your things to you in a timely mannor. I will be shopping somewhere else until it’s improved.

Overpriced for typical quality
Quality is pretty similar to Kmart, BIG W. But at times, I found items are more expensive than MYER. No refund & only exchange policy is most inflexible compared to their competitors. I suggest check other store before buying from Cottonon.
Hem fail- again
Will someone please teach the workers how to do an "oversew"! I'm sick of the bottom hem of the numerous T shirts my teenagers purchase unraveling after 1 wash.
Just adding to this as a New Zealand buyer. I have bought many pairs of undies on the 5 for $35 deal at Cotton on Body. 4 of my newest pairs bought have ripped in the crotch after one wash due to bad quality material. These are now unwearable and it makes me no longer want to shop here as continuing to buy new pairs that just rip will become very expensive, I will be going elsewhere.
I was recently in a store that just smelled like chemicals on Chapel Street. The entire store smelled terribly of cheap clothing dyes and finishes I wasn’t able to stay in the store as I had a headache.
How staff can work like this is a bit of a worry. I looked at a lot of the tags and it’s a concern with fair trade and wages in these third world countries.
I went in as I had a child’s fancy dress party and they have a LOT of items but I wasnt buying anything.
Questions & Answers
No extend sizes available in the store. If I found one, you are lucky. That probably is the only one in Aus. Why are they producing it? Save for themselves to wear, not for sale?
