Cox not so good – Left hand hydrostatic drive squealing and no power it was replaced by the dealer after a lots of phone calls to cox’s . Just got it back and same fault again after ten minutes use. So do not buy a cox’s mower buy a Chinese one instead. Show details

left side less power – Les power left hand side, a squealing sound and hard to turn right on slight slope, is fine going other way. Early days it worked fine except for some fuel problems, which the dealer fixed, had no problems maintaining the zero turn, is comfortable to ride, have not had to replace any parts yet, but has got progressively worse with squealing and left side drive.  Show details

COX Cruiser Lemon – 15 mins on clock a front wheel broke off due to poor welds, Constant engine running issues breaking down under load of blue couch grass, only running on one cylinder ( only one muffler pipe had heat burn ) but was told it was a throttle cable issue, Sent me incorrect cable and parts, After Honda coming to the party with a New bare engine all parts… Read more

off old motor were installed on the new engine including plastic cowling and all electrics, only to have the same issues, Last thing to replace would be the CDI unit but COX Industries wanted no part of it. It has cost me thousands of $dollars$. NO BLOODY WONDER THEY DISCONTINUED THIS MODEL.

Best mower I've ever had – I bought cox cruiser 24 horse. Great machine! Always had cox mowers but this makes mowing a joy. Love my mower. I have 2 acres & it takes me half the time to cut. Had some small problem with starting but thanks to hastings mower they fixed it & I've cruising ever since. Good job cox. Harry j. Bittern victoria

Cox Zero Turn. Great mower, cuts excellent – Very good mower. It will cut very long grass. There is plenty of power in the Honda engine and fuel consumption is minimal. 3.5 hours / 9 litre tank. Never has mow lines and there is never a problem with wet grass. My only issue is that the shroud covering the back of the mower does not take kindly to be used as a strapping point to tie down onto… Read more

the trailer, all the welds have split. maybe think about some better tie down points. Otherwise it is a great mower so far.

I have fixed the problem by building a new back bumper and surround to cover the engine from damage..

My mower has done 60 hours and i find it very easy to do maintenance on the blades.

I enjoy using my zero turn mower.

Regards Frank

Constant maintenance issues – Mower done 120 hrs.Constant throttle cable issues now left drive faulty.Mower is used on relatively good going so I would have expected better service.Cox is living on past good reputation. My last stockman did 850 hrs did one bearing still going strong.

Turning problems – I have used the mower a dozen times with 11 hours on the metre. The block is only half acre and relatively flat. It has had its first service but ever since then I have constantly had to adjust things to get the zero turning working correctly with it squealing on the left side trying to turn to the right. For it being pretty well still brand new I… Read more

have had it 6 months I don't think this should be happening. I would be interested if anyone else is having the same problems or if they know of why this is happening and a way of fixing it.

Cox cruiser – Good mower but after 2 months of ownership the left hand drive stopped working. I have 2 acres of fairly flat lawn to mow. The dealer I brought it from was excellent in lending me a mower to use cox took their time to get parts. I had to blow my stack to get a hurry up on my mower getting fixed. Not really good when you pay 6k for a ride on that is supposed to last ...

Great for smooth surfaces – Great for smooth areas around the house but slight corrugations make it almost unusable because of vibration. It would benefit greatly from a better sprung seat.
