Exceptional BBQ, with fantastic customer support!
Cooks food beautifully and quickly, was most impressed with the quality and design.
One of the side tables had a small scratch when i un-boxed it. Contacted the Crossray customer support team, who i had been making inquiries with prior to purchasing the BBQ, and they sent out a replacement immediately. The support and backup for this product is unmatched.
I highly recommend this BBQ!

Great replacement BBQ, waited too long
Sausages and roast vegetables cook so well on the top rack. Steak is amazing on the grill. Added our existing pizza oven to the grill, fabulous even heat. Easy to clean the outside of the BBQ and gril, need to learn more about cleaning the inside of the hood.

It’s a fresh new way to bbq with. O hassle.
From the start the experience of buying and using the crossray bbq was Devine. I ordered direct from crossray in Melbourne after discussing the workings and benefits with the staff there. It was delivered seamlessly the NEXT DAY to Sydney. Wow!
I ordered also a grill plate as I am used to doing steaks and sausages on a plate. Yes the grill plate works on the infra red but once you actually use the infra red directly to cook you would not go back to the frying plate.
On infra red direct the steak and sausages cook so quickly with no splatter....

BEST grill I ever owned. Really!! Ever!
I use this grill in central Texas where we cook outside most of the year. I always had problems with other grills as they delivered uneven heating, burnt the meat if there was fat spillage. Not with my Crossray.
I cook mostly steak, fish and veggies. The steaks can be thick and occasionally we cook hamburgers which are thinner. I use the upper grill after I have seared the steaks and I can cook them with zero burn/scorch. All cooking is even. If I choose the right two burners or the left two, I get the same results. Sometimes on very co...ld days I use all 4 burners and the results are the same -- equal cooking across the burners and no meat burning. We also cook salmon regularly. We place the fish on a foil wrapped pan, baste with olive oil and seasoning, and they come out perfect. Again, no overcooking, no burning. Everything PREDICTABLE. One of the surprises is how little fuel it uses. We use propane bottles which are pretty cheap but we do not have to change them very often. The grill is pretty solid and well made. It is easy to clean and very little residue remains on the main cooking surfaces. The thermometer is useful and accurate.

- 4-Burner Trolley
The best BBQ ever made
Recently bought a Crossray 4 burner bbq with trolley. It is a high quality product that is brilliant to cook with. Made of quality stainless steel, the trolley construction is very sturdy and made to last.
The cooking process is a little different but when you get used to it, it cooks beautifully and quickly.
When you have finished the bbq is self cleaning which is a great bonus indeed.
Finally the back up service from the Crossray team has been faultless with advice and service.
Could not be happier with this purchase.

Crossray Infrared BBQ - Impressive/Even cooking
We purchased the BBQ a few months back along with the Natural Gas Conversion kit. It was a big decision to go from a conventional gas BBQ to an Infrared one particularly as there were no Australian Reviews available and the ones that were available were from a competitor with. Over 50% of those reviews were against the infrared technology and extremely negative. After many conversations with the people at Thermofilm we decided to drive out to their factory and have a look. I saw a "hack" on youtube to test the even cooking of the BBQ and to...ok a loaf of bread and spread it out on the whole BBQ, within a minute we had toast, perfectly cooked and each slice was cooked the same. Now having used the BBQ for the last two weeks and cooked everything from pork, chicken, burgers, beef, fish, vegetables, pizza, made bread and have used it as a side burner to cook certain foods which require oil in a pan such as schnitzels and meatballs. I was tempted to buy an extra side burner however took a punt and went with the company's advice that the Crossray was designed to be an all in one product, they were right. We are thoroughly impressed with it. The BBQ heats up quickly, the heat is even throughout the whole BBQ, it cooks the meat on the inside and leaves the outside nice and crispy, leaving the meat full of juices and flavour. Very minimal flair ups and cooks the same in every corner of the BBQ. The ability to use the top rack as another cooking surface is genius ....pretty much doubling your cooking surface and ideal for vegetables which don't require direct heat. When used as a sideburner/wok it heats up the pan evenly and holds the heat which reduces cooking times and ensures foods in the pan are cooked evenly. As for cleaning that is pretty easy also and takes a few minutes. The company itself has been amazing to deal with ...mainly we dealt with Brandon and Shanelle and they have been extremely easy to talk with and respond immediately to queries and concerns. Great product and great company.

Crossray BBQ is a great!
The Crossray built in is extremely versatile. Aside from standard BBQ cuts Steak, Sausage, Chicken etc I have cooked Pizza, Char grilled veg, Mexican wraps, Lamb and Chicken on the rotisserie, beef on the rotisserie with Yorkshire Pudding underneath. You can do basically what ever you might do in an oven.
It cooks a variety of cuts beautifully via different methods. It's really up to your imagination?
The heat control needs some trial and error. I have not yet used HIGH. Lowest setting seems to be adequate.

- 4-Burner Trolley
I love my Crossray BBQ. I have the 4 burner trolley unit. Was very easy to assemble, as the firebox is a complete enclosed unit, and slots into the trolley easily. The trolley was very easy to assemble. Fantastic for cooking a range foods on and it is like you are cooking on a charcoal grill; you can do a perfectly char-grilled steak (as good as any high end steak house), awesome burgers, fantastic rotisserie lamb, beef and pork, the perfect, juicy rotisserie chicken and it is great for pizzas using a pizza stone and your own hand made base...s. It also doesn't flare-up like other BBQs. I have't cooked fish or veg on it yet, but can't wait to try, especially charring eggplant for a smoky baba ganoush. You can use the entire cooking surface as it has no hot or cold spots, and you can cook on the upper rack too, so for a 4 burner BBQ you get a lot more cooking space than other 6 burner BBQs. Cooks very quickly and cleans up easily too. Absolutely great investment. Purchased from Harvey Norman Hobart in January 2019 for $1988, with a bonus outdoor heater valued at $499, so was very good value. I'd also highly recommend getting the Crossray rotisserie kit too; you'll never want to roast meat in the oven gain.

We love our Crossray BBQ
I bought our Crossray BBQ, 4 burner, around February 2019. 3 things that stand out, far easier to keep clean, better more even cooking of food and it's also great to use it as a pizza oven so don't need to buy a separate one of them. Others in our family have now purchased their own Crossray

No need for an oven
Since purchasing the crossray I find I don’t use my oven nearly as much, not to mention the fact that my life is so much easier as my husband cooks more. Anything you can do in your oven and stove top, you can do better on your crossray. Cleans up quicker and much easier than the oven and stove top as well.

Crossray BBQ - I love cooking again!
I loved my old BBQ but I am so happy I made the switch recently to a 4-Burner Crossray. The first thing that impressed me was the quality of the build, it's a very high-quality product that looks fantastic, and the size of the cooking area is almost identical to my old six-burner BBQ.
But the real fun began when I turned it on for the first time. The BBQ ignites really quickly and the infra-red burners generated cooking-heat almost instantaneously.

A great Bbq
I’ve had this about a month now and cooked steaks, sausages, roast chicken and pizza on this and all have been great. The top cooking rack is great for sausages - cooks them quickly by without burning. Steaks cook great - either with the good up or down. One of the best features is how easy it is to clean - just put it on high with lid down for 10 mins and everything burns away and you just need to rub a brush over it. I haven’t had to use any sort of cleaning cloths or sprays like on my old bbq.

Couldn't be happier with my new BBQ
I've had my cross ray for a couple of months and have given it a fair work out and couldn't be happier with it the roast meats are amazing and the double skin of the BBQ stops excessive heat from transferring to the outside of the BBQ, the even cooking of everything makes it a breeze to cook on and with no flare ups from the flames food is fantastic and juicy all the way through

Versatile and quick
The first thing you notice is the quality of the build. Stainless steel with anodised cast aluminium. It's a quality product and looks great.
Initially the angled burners seem counter intuitive until you realise that it's the radiation, like the way the sun warms us, rather than direct heat, which cooks the bangers. This is more efficient so it uses less gas than barbecues which rely on direct heat. It also cooks faster.

Best BBQ Ever
I have had my Crossray now for about 12 months. Very glad I made the change. We had a roast with vegies over the weekend and it the family said it was the best ever. I thought so too. With the BBQ being able to get so hoot it also makes the best Pizza's. Have used it for many things, the only issue was that I haven't quite perfected my Pav's, but any other dessert dish come up a treat.

Simply the best gas BBQ on the market
When it was time to get serious on a BBQ upgrade, I looked at all the usual big ticket brands before accidentally stumbling upon the Crossray 4-Burner online. Being a passionate charcoal BBQ cooker, gas BBQs only served for convenience rather than pure flavour. However the fact that the Crossray heats up to such a high heat drew my immediate attention and upon further research and then getting an in store demonstration, I was hooked. It can sear monster tomahawk steaks before finishing them slowly for the perfect technique without fuss. Chicken...wings are a dream cooked on lower heat on the shelf with the lid down. They don't dry out or burn the yummy tips when you cook them slowly and no matter what marinade you use, they'll be the best chicken wings you'll ever eat. Simply... the Crossray is the best appliance I have ever purchased.

A better way to BBQ
I had been looking at bbq's to install in an outdoor kitchen...totally confused...many reviews were contradictory and the price range was impossible to work through.
Found Crossray on youtube and was attracted to its flexibility and 'different' approach.
Visited Harvey Norman to get more information and left totally enthused.
I also spoke directly to the Crossray people and they really were great.
Lisa and Michelle with the local team bent over backwards to help me understand the points of difference and how to use the crossray method of cooking.
Took a punt and had a four burner natural gas head unit installed by Alfresco Australia.
Early days but extremely pleased...clean, very efficient, and it is very flexible.

We were considering an Ooni or Rockboxx gas pizza oven to complement our existing reliable, but very old 4 burner gas barbecue. Can anyone that cooks pizzas advise the typical time taken on the Crossray to cook a pizza, and how do they compare to wood fired pizzas. Also do you cook pizzas on a metal plate, or a stone on top of the grill plates. Thanks Chris Healesville Vic.
Hi Chris. I have the CrossRay 2 burner bbq. I do pizzas on mine . I use a pizza stone.I bought a pizza rack from Bunnings that holds 3 pizza stones, so can do 3 pizzas at a time. It’s best to keep the stones up off the grill plate. I get the bbq to 300c in 10 minutes. Then i put the pizza on the stone and only takes 5 to 6 minutes depending on how thick the base is and how much topping. Pizza are very nice. I still think wood fired pizza are a bit better. But I love cooking on my CrossRay. Especially thick ribeye steaks.
