Very bad customer service, unprofessional sales person
I ordered a laminate flooring from DecoRug Liverpool mega center to replace my carpet upstairs and I had a concern about installing the laminate on the stairs and the sales person his name is [Name Removed] he is unprofessional and he said we can do everything within your budget so we have this special for today only you can pay a deposit which is 30% and we can just hold the stock until we find the proper installation for your stairs, to cut the story short, one of their professional installer looked at the stairs photos and said " this stairs...Read more
are designed for carpet only and to do so we need to change the design of the stairs and it will cost heaps more", and we told him that we are not going ahead with this one and we asked for refund then he started playing with the words and he claimed that he already send the order for the stairs nosing and they are ready and these stairs nosing wouldn't work with our stairs and he refused to refund. Do Not Trust Deco Rug One of the Worst Carpet Installation
One of the worst installation received from Deco Rug. Look at the bottom pictures. It was done 4th of October 2019. I have contacted Deco Rug and made multiple complaints and deco rug doesn't do anything about it. Deco rug also remove my door from bedroom, when they install the carpet and door never return to the door frame. Absolutely dangerous and illegal in Australia. I have raised the issues with Fair Trading to escalate and follow up to get my money back. Dear all, DO NOT TRUST DECO RUG. They are fully Scammers and work as Doggy retailers and Ripping innocent people money. Be aware and Careful. My next Aim to take them to Current Affairs Show. Stay away from this Deco Rug Retailer.

Fantastic customer service!
We visited the Prospect store for some rugs. The service we received from Angela was fantastic! Even when we needed to exchange a rug she was so helpful and ensured we were 100% happy with our choice. Would recommend her!!

Deceitful Customer service system at Liverpool store. No stars at all, just had to assign one, as it was required.
I and my wife visited the Liverpool showroom about a couple of months ago and liked a carpet. We were told we could hold it as long as we needed to. While having a chat we advised, we are building our house. On that note he started to show us the specials on floor boards. While we liked the floor boards, e said we were bot unsure, if we will have floor boards or tiles and were not sure of the time line, of when we could come back. So we deposited $ 500.00 We fell prey to their method of getting money in and agree made the mistake of not looking at the contract, which talks about cancellation charges. Part 2: we went yesterday to get a carpet from deco rug to get a carpet for our deposit . We selected the carpet first and were offered the discount and 2 free cushions. When we produced the deposit invoice for $ 500; 00 we had paid them. Luis charged us the cancellation fees, took extra for the bigger cushion, which he was not charging first. When my husband reminded what they had said, he refused to honour it and showed the policy on the paper. He even called us dishonest that we did not tell them as soon as we came . This upset me and I said they had applied dishonest way themselves. On this note he got angry and said "" don't upset me". At this stage, he changed his method from dishonest to arm twisting. He stopped serving us and got the other lady before us. My husband and I understood we had made mistake of taking their word for it, so will bear the brunt and take whatever he gives. We then asked him to charge us whatever,, we could at least redeem our hard earned $ 500: 00 He kept telling us he is doing us a favour and we got our carpet on his terms. We would have been okay if they did not play deceitful and told us upfront what they will do, if we were to cancel our order. We will never return back to them.Similar opinion? Very happy and loved the service.
We had to replace our timber floors due to unforseen problems. Deco Rug head office and Prospect could not have been more helpful and prompt!!

Do not use this company!
Do not do business with this company. My wife and I spent good money to install new wood flooring in our apartment in Brisbane CBD and what transpired was a nightmare. Firstly, the flooring was installed with the wrong glue causing our floors to audibly crack for the better part of a year (installed by Dream Flooring) their contractor in Brisbane. ent to the NSW fair trading route to lodge a complaint. Upon our email to go to NSW fair trading, the Project Manager Mark Xiradis came to our apartment to inspect the install and confirmed by email that the wrong glue was used and that the damage to our apartment would be paid for. Fast forward to yesterday and we had just been paid for the damages and Mick from Dream Flooring and his team arrived, as well as Mark the Project Manager to oversee the Re-install of our flooring. After a heated discussion in the morning my wife and I left for work and on my way there I received a call for both Mick and Mark. The conversation was about how they may damage other things while installing the new floor and how if we wait for them to make a claim on insurance we would be covered for any additional damages. The reality was that they are looking for coverage for their botched job. After trying to contact them both today I got a text from Mick asking me to send a letter of demand to him to forward on to his insurance. I called him to ask why I need to do more work he replied it was needed to complete his claim. I asked him what if his claim is denied and he said he would need to check with Mark how to proceed. This is 2 companies who admitted to poor workmen’s ship, rebooked an install and on the day decided they may have a financial benefit to suit their losses instead of caring about their customers loss.1 comment

not a good result beware consumers
Asked them to give me a plan on fixing our floor and told us we would have to clear out our bottom level of the house and it would take 2 weeks to fix when the original install took 2 days feel like they are trying to make it to hard to have it fixed now they are not calling back

We were told we had to pay before the job.We did pay as asked but in their paperwork I did find a final payment form.This form has a customer declaration on it,to be signed on work completion. I presume this would be the correct time to pay outstanding balances.

I would suggest you don't pay anything other than a deposit until the work is completed and you are 100% happy with the work. otherwise if they mess it up like they did mine you will find it very hard to get corrected or compensated. Personally with hind sight.. I would suggest avoiding this company all together and going to another more reputable business
