Quality of coffee is so-so. Takes 4-5 attempts to get water through, which seems like an important feature to note in the manual. It makes a great cup of Luke-warm coffee every time! Though, if you boil the jug and add hot water to the cup of freshly made coffee, it’s a fantastic cup of Joe. The manual does say to pre-warm your cup, which conveniently no sales person shares. Mind you, I’d have to set that cup on fire to get the coffee hotter. It is easy to use, but so very disappointed, we gave it a good go, tweeking, heating, but it defeats the purpose having to boil the jug every time. Returning it this weekend, product does not provide/produce what it claims it does. Originally purchased at Briscoes.
Purchased in September 2020 for $290.00.
Coffee machine works well, coffee is not hot enough. However have had to change the machine twice as the milk frother has just stopped working within 1 month of getting each machine. Now have to make the decision if we get our money back and get a different machine or try a third machine (to then have the same issues). After spending $500 on a coffee machine I would have expected it to last longer than one month :(
Purchased in August 2020 at Harvey Norman for $499.00.
Can only use very small cups otherwise the coffee is too weak. Will only make cappuccinos, too much froth even on the lowest setting. Still have to heat it up in the microwave, not hot enough unless you preheat your cup, even then it is just hot enough. This machine costs $440 and to be honest, I have had a better coffee from a $100 machine.
Purchased in April 2020 at Harvey Norman for $440.00.
Waste of money
Just spent 30min on the phone with "Senior management". I bought a brand new machine in march from DJs. it has never worked. Nespresso wants to fix the machine so then my brand new machine is a refurbished model. OR they want me to drag my three kids and the broken machine back to DJs to get a replacement. Would never buy from them again. Customer service did not care or try to help.
Purchased in March 2019 for $400.00.
Well our machine broke down after six weeks, Delonghi wouldn’t, replace it because we are over the forth week. Sent it back to get repaired and it was returned and still doesn’t work. After a number of phone calls they still won’t replace and it’s going back again to be fixed again. It won’t be replaced because we didn’t buy it direct from Delonghi. Their customer service people are like programmed dummies when we called back to say hey it been repaired by you and still not working service people went into dummy mode and wanted us to go it the cleaning mode. Bloody hopeless !!!!!
Third machine has died after 2 weeks
I have been through 3 of these machines.
First one - DOA
Second one - overheated and smoke came out of the milk frother
Returned it a bought the updated version
Third and updated version - milk frother started spitting water and now the machine turns off after its connected
Makes a great coffee, for a couple of weeks...

DeLONGI not so LONGI!
We have a Nespresso DeLonghi Lattissima Plus Capsule now for four years and enjoyed the coffee as the easy way the machine made the coffee with milk. After 4 years of faithful operations the machine broke down and needed fixing. As the repair people only provided a simple machine without the milk that we so like with our coffee, we purchased a new machined, the Nespresso DeLonghi Lattissima Touch.
A couple weeks later we received our original Nespresso DeLonghi Lattissima back fixed and we put it away for 'emergencies' and for our Wedding An...niversary where we would use both machines to make coffee for our guests ... except, before it go to that the espresso DeLonghi Lattissima Touch failed, less than a month after purchase. Harvey Norman Chadstone exchanged the machine for us, THREE DAYS AGO and the new machine is now also faulty! Coincident or are we doing something wrong? Well, we like our coffee 'just so' and have been making our coffee 'just so' for the past 4 years with the original machine. We make the coffee 'just so' with the new machine. No different, exactly the same as with the original machine.
This one lasted less than 3 weeks
Don't get me wrong when these machine work they make great coffee, but this is my second Delonghi machine the first was the old verssion with the push buttons on top, I stored it for 9 months then used it for 4 months before it stopped working on the milk frother side. I decided to buy the new model from a private seller on ebay. She was a capsule collection agent and was gifted this machine my Nespresso, never used, all still in plastic wrap, but stored for 12 months, hence no warranty again, I used it for 2-3 weeks and again the milk frother ...stopped working. I used 100% distilled water only and run a cleaning cycle after every coffee (I drink about 5 a day). After speaking with Nespresso Head office about my disapointing experience with the so called Ferrari brand of coffee machines the best they could do for me is get it fixed for $130 inc post! I'm still waiting for mine to return and will keep you all posted with results. VERY DISAPOINTED with the quality of these machine, mostly durability issues, so far they cost me about $1000 for less than 5 months of coffee making between the two machines. I don't think I'll buy Delonghi branded items ever again!
Don't waste your time or money
We purchased our machine last year and it was working fine (although we hardly used it) then as I started using more frequently this year (which was only once a day for a few weeks) the taste changed dramatically to an unexplanable bitter/undrinkable taste. I then descaled as they state to find it still had the same problem. I then rang Nespresso who seemed really helpful, returned it to get it looked at, sent back and was told there was nothing wrong with it. This is where big problems started. Nespresso would not return calls after promising ...me time and time again they would - this literally went on for 2 months - not one person called me back. Every time I called I would be left on hold forever, have to go through the details again and be promised a 'manager' would call me back. In the end the only way to get someone to speak to me was get consumer affairs involved. I was then told by Nespresso to send it back again to which it came back yet again with the same problem. Again nothing is happening, this is still an ongoing dispute (it has now been 3 months) and I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. From reading other reviews it seems to be an ongoing problem with this machine and I highly advise consumers to be very careful purchasing these machines.
Don't waste your money
Well, I've had my Nespresso for over a year now and I wish I hadn't bought it. I've gone back to my stove stop coffee machine. I am disappointed with the machine for these reasons - the machine is hard to clean and if you don't clean the machine the coffee tastes bitter. This isn't told to you in the small print but it's not until you get your machine home and you're one the phone to customer care to ask why the coffee is tasting bitter that they tell you that you need to clean the machine with a toothbush on the 'pyramid' plate. I've been scru...bbing away with the toothbrush but the coffee still tastes bitter. Also, the frothing attachment makes so much froth that it's a waste of milk and too luke warm to drink. The capsules are so expensive. When you extract the coffee a fair amount of water slips through into the capsule container. I have had my machine serviced under warranty and Nespresso said that it's working as expected. So disappointed in what is supposed to be a premium product. I blame George Clooney for sucking me in.
Lattissima Touch to much plastc used and flimsy constrution.
Coffee reasonable taste but fiddly expensive capsules dont make it very economic.
Quite slow making Coffee. Does overflow into Capsule compartment instead of going into cup.
Then when frothing the milk you get first cup done and when you come to frothing milk for second cup it stops and light comes on and wants the milk part to be cleaned every time.
I would expected to make several cups of coffee at least before milk frother wants to be cleaned.

I returned this machine after 4 months as it was frequently dispensing the coffee into the capsule container instead of the cup. Nespresso said they tested it extensively but could find no problem. I received it back, the first coffee I made was fine (I only make one a day) the next two days it made the coffee into the capsule container again. I sent it back, again they tell me there is nothing wrong with the machine - really!!! I will video the next coffee I make - when I eventually get the machine back. Terrible service, when you phone Nespre...sso you get different information every time. They promise to phone back but never do. This was a replacement for my Latissima Plus, I wanted to buy the Latissima Pro but was advised by the consultant I spoke to that this was very difficult to clean properly and the Touch was a much better machine. I should have listened to my instincts. Yes it is easy to use & clean, but it is costing me a fortune in wasted capsules, that are expensive to start with.

Can I just get hot water out of my delonghi en550-r
Milk froather want work and orange descaling want turn off
I had an issue with a faulty milk frother. I contacted Delonghi whose reply was "sorry to hear contact Nespresso". I took the faulty appliance back to the Good Guys who arranged a repair. This took only about seven days and it is now working well. I have had no issue with the descaling light.
